We have just spent a great week at Xalet Verdu hotel. The hotel is run by a family who are very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was a bit cosy for family of four but had all the amenities including tea making facilities. Food was a good mix of regional dishes as well as some favourite pasta dishes like lasagne and bologna use. Always a fish choice on the menu as well as a buffet which served salad and some hot dishes. Garlic soups was a favourite as well as the ensalada rusa. Being a busy week, hot water around peak times 5-6pm was a bit hit and miss but this was the only downside. Nice choice of red wines and sparkling wines at reasonable prices. Breakfast good selection of fresh fruit, hot and cold dishes. Porridge would have been a lovely option but this is only a suggestion. Thanks very much to the great team at Xalet Verdu for a lovely welcome at the end of each day.

Stayed here for 5 nights (7 of us in total) Hotel was very accomodating as the original hotel we booked had made an error and couldn't accomodate us... I'm glad they did or may not have had chance to experience this wee gem. Perfectly positioned for gondola and apres ski!!! Staff so lovely meeting all our needs. Food was great and plenty of variety with fresh choices each day. (local dishes... but that's what we loved - new tastes) Will definetly be back to Ski in Arinsal and book this hotel.

The customer service right from the beginning was excellent. The check-in was hassle free, and the young man who greeted us was very pleasant. My wife and I stayed half-board, and after a week's worth of skiing/snowboarding, we were very glad for the fact! The contintental breakfast was superb, but more impressive was the array of main-courses, which were preceded by a wonderful and varied buffet. Again, when you've been on the pistes all day, you need all the food you can eat! The rooms were cosy, if a little small. But that didn't bother us too much! It's location is very conveniently situated near the Gondola making it easy to get to the Ski resort at the top, and is not far from the local Apres hotspots. All round, a superb little hotel. Would definitely go back.

We went to Andorra for a family ski holiday. We stayed in the Xalet Verdu Hotel. The hotel was very clean and tidy which was great to see. The food was very nice but breakfast was repetitive and got boring. The rooms let the hotel down massively. The only fault I could find within the hotel were the rooms. The walls were like tissue paper. We had read reviews saying that it’s very noisy at night. I am partially deaf so didn’t expect it to affect me. I was wrong, we heard every single little noise that came from any other room in the hotel. You can hear water running, toilets flushing, hairdryers and chairs moving. It’s like being in the same room as them! It was impossible to sleep at night no matter how tired you were. When you finally manage to get to sleep at 3am the drunks from the pubs make the way up town back to the hotels and with the walls being so thin you can hear every single word they are saying from outside and every single lyric they sing! It was only 200metres from the gondola to get up to the ski mountain and we payed extra to have our equipment up in the lockers so we didn’t have to carry it up and down. The hotel was lovely apart from the night noise. The staff were excellent especially the male (oldish) waiter!

Stayed here with husband on ski trip. Flew out 28th Jan and we fly back tomorrow. The hotel is small and friendly with a lovely mellow atmosphere. The room was large, very clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. The hotel also gets bonus points for being a short stroll to the gondola. We stayed half board and the food was pretty good but the absolute stars of the show are the staff here. The staff are friendly, welcoming and super helpful. I would recommend this hotel very highly and hope to stay here again. If you've never been to Andorra, please try it. The weather is great, Arinsal has fantastic skiing and the locals are very friendly. Massive thank you to all of the fantastic staff!

Family of 6 on a last minute whirlwind trip to Arisnal January 7-10 2018! This hotel exceeded all expectations - clean large comfortable rooms with full bathrooms. Great food. Perfect location. What made the stay all the more fun, were the staff. Many thanks to Gala on reception, Nelo head waiter and Paco the owner. Without the three of you, we would not of had such a fantastic time! Full of information and helpful tips to make the most of the area given we only had 2 full days of skiing!. Hotel offers a 20% discount at a local ski hire shop. Nothing was too much trouble. My sister and family were visiting from Australia in order to see "real snow"! They were not disappointed, the skiing and hospitality experienced were second to none. Big thank you to Nelo for our bottle of fizz, you made our stay extra special. We booked a taxi with Transfers David from Barcelona airport to hotel - for 6 people door to door only Euro 500 return! Fantastic service. Would highly recommend.

Three main plus points - Staff very friendly and helpful, Immaculately clean, Evening meal excellent quality and varied. with choice for main course Minor niggles only - eg safe hard to get to under bottom shelf of wardrobe

Second visit with our family and friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent location, value, staff and good, clean, cosy rooms. Food is not brilliant but the rest more than makes up for it. Recommend organising a locker at the resort, at the top of the gondola.

I suppose you take your chances with holidays/hotels. Money is tight & booked cheap...and got cheap; food. Hotel is fine, clean, decent sized rooms, helpful staff, wifi, (slow; you're not in the EU so it's a small fortune to use your own data roaming - turn it off, use wifi). Short downhill walk to the ski lift, but if you know Arinsal you'll know it's built on a step step hill. However, the food, oh dear, the food! The poorest I've had in decades of skiing, ate out four evenings, after viewing the menu for that night and two breakfasts (because we were so hungry), which is unheard of for us on a holiday where food is included. Apparently the food is a traditional Catalan menu which I'm not sure suits a mixed set of clientele; we joked with a group of Russians one night about the food being served barely warm and portion sizes - lots of that evenings food was left, which makes me feel less guilty about not liking the food. Menu included...Stewed veal, grilled John Dory fish, veal milanese, veal cheeks, lamb roll, breaded hake, baked pork shin, baked rabbit, goulash; sorry - just not impressed! Holiday reps were well aware of what our issue with the hotel would be as soon as we said the name of it.

Had a lovely time staying at this hotel, we chose it as it was the cheap option, it was clean with friendly welcoming staff. Food was good and enjoyed the opportunity to try some new things. Would definitely stay again
