If you visit Andorra, we highly recommend this hotel. Good location and great service. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We got upgraded to a suite and treated like kings. Polite, friendly staff -- definitely recommending it!
The place deserves its 4 stars. Very good location, close to shops, Caldea and historical center. Rooms are spacious and clean (and silent if you take the mountain view), the service precise and polite. Beds are extremely large and comfy, and breakfast is quite divers (one more machine for orange juice would not harm...). Forget about the "pool", it is 40 cm deep. The spa is ok, nothing more, and there are only two elevators...that can easily saturate during rush hours. But I would surely recommend this hotel, it is the best place I stayed in Andorra.
Everything about the hotel was perfect for our stay: spacious and nicely decorated rooms, great food, super attentive owner and accommodating staff, perfect location. Would stay there again and would highly recommend.
Our stay at Arthotel was delightful. I traveled with a skiing group. We stayed at the Arthotel for a glorious week, taking a daily private bus to all the surrounding ski areas, (which by the way are fabulous). Albert Ferré, the owner manager, and his associate, Marc, could not have been nicer to our group. They even skied with us on three separate mornings to introduce us to the different ski facilities. On our last night at the hotel Marc put together a 10 minute presentation of the photos and videos he had taken of our group while on the slopes. We were blown away that he had taken the time and initiative to do this. The hotel itself is modern, clean and attractive. The double room I stayed in was spacious and nicely decorated. The rooms were ready early the day we arrived from the US after an overnight flight so we checked in around noon. Everyone was appreciative of the hotel's willingness to do this for us. Breakfast and dinner were included in our room rate. The meals had enough choices to please everyone in our group. I especially liked the warm chocolate croissants in the morning and the soups and fresh salad bar in the evening. Others enjoyed the meats and fresh fish or the thin sliced smoked ham which is a local delicacy. The dining room where meals are served on the 5th floor has white tablecloths and small tables for 2, 4 or 6 that invite conversation. There is a lovely balcony with tables off the dining room where you could eat in warmer months, The dining room’s vibe is warm and inviting. It's a great place to linger after a meal which our group tended to do on many nights. The hotel’s location is perfect. Centrally located near shopping, restaurants and the historic district. I would definitely recommend the Arthotel as a wonderful place to stay in Andorra la Vella. Thank you Albert and Marc!
Nothing really to say other than we had a nice comfortable stay here - the rooms are very spacious. The restaurant opens quite late at 8pm so we had to eat elsewhere. The hotel is centrally located and walkable distance to everything.
The hotel has a very good location within Andorra la Vella. You’re really close to the center. Less than 5min walk distance. The hotel smells good and it is spotless clean. Rooms are very clean also. Big and beautiful bathrooms. Staff was really helpful with everything, we had a small issue with the heat system in our room due to heavy snowfall and they fixed right away with just a call to reception. Breakfast buffet is diverse and has really nice views. They do french omelettes on the go. Freshly squeezed orange juice, and all sorts of foods. Everything. We tried the spa, we were lucky because we were almost alone so it was really relaxing. Parking has a discount with them so add that to the pro list. All in all and excellent experience. We will repeat soon!
The staff was helpful and professional. A great location for exploring the area. The rooms were incredibly spacious by European standards and very clean. Our room facing the back of the hotel was quite. There is a parking garage attached to the hotel, or a number of lots available nearby the hotel has agreements with, the parking was 14€.
We spent three night here in mid September, the hotel is clean neat and tidy, the attached restaurant was a great find when we first arrived. Service was excellent, both at front of house and in the bar and restaurant. The breakfast is well worth the extra money. The only downside was the overpriced leisure facilities of the Sauna Hamman and Jacuzzi. Not really worth €10 a pop per person. We had an even number room over looking the river and the city which was exceedingly quiet
Nice, spacious room with lovely view of river and mountains. We were able to sleep with open window for the cool mountain air. Excellent breakfast, including fresh juice and champagne! Centrally located and easy walk to Caldera. Very helpful in holding our bags after checkout.
We did not choose this hotel but it was selected for us as we were part of a package tour to the area. We stayed at this hotel for three nights. As a location the hotel is well located and within walking distance to a lot of areas: shops, restaurants, old town and popular tourist sites. We had a room at the rear of the hotel which had a great view of the mountains and river. The hotel was very clean and our room was very good. The bed was huge and the bedding was crisp and clean. The room had a fridge and there was no fee for the safe which was massive compared to others we had come across. We were staying half board and although the food was nothing to write home about, it was satisfactory. I would advise getting to the meals early as replenishments were minimal and some guests complained that some items were cold eg. Fried eggs at breakfast. Another gripe was that the hot water used to make tea was not hot. It comes from the coffee machine which does not boil the water. In general I wound the staff, particularly in the bar, were far from friendly. It was almost like you were disturbing them doing nothing when you wanted them to get you a drink. Having said that I would say that seemed to be the attitude of most waiters/waitresses in the city we came across. It is something the tourist board of the city should address as it did not lend itself to a great advertisement for this beautiful city which has so much to offer. I would recommend a stay at the hotel despite some minor criticism which may appear harsh.
