Everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. We also had a chance to check out JC Penny.

We've stayed at this Hojo several times now whenever we're in town against friends and relatives advice. Was told there were a lot of drug and other illegal activities that happen here. And although that statement may have truth to it, we have yet to feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or run into an unsettling situation. The rooms are nice. The beds are comfy and it's rather quiet here at night. They are very reasonably priced for the area and the staff are super polite and courteous.

Good just smaller beds...Full not Queen but not bed

I work away from home and have been in several different hotels. Howard Johnson's is a great value. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was dated and dirty. Bugs on the floor, didn't seem like the place had been vacuumed in a while. Most likely would not return unless prices at the Marriott or Hilton were ridiculous as they were this past weekend.

The staff was fine and the room was basic. There was no flavored coffee options in the room and the coffee for the breakfast in teh lobby was a Nestle machine that makes really watered down instant coffee. Tub area had mold growing at the soap dispenser and caulk around the tub.which was addressed upon notification of the staff

We got in late and was given a room on the lower level that had seen better days. The carpet was really dirty, large stains and dust in corners. The room smelled bad like corn chips and funky feet. Afraid to walk on floor. After only 30 minutes I started wheezing and had to take Zyrtec. If you have Asthma/ allergies stay away. The staff was helpful and switched my room but had to wait until the next morning. The new room was much cleaner with newer carpet facing court yard. Location is great close to food, shopping.

Requested a crib and non-smoking room, received neither and the staff at the front desk upon check-in couldn't have cared less. The room smelled like an ashtray- even the bed sheets were saturated with the smell of smoke. My husband and I kept expecting to become desensitized to the smell but the smell remained as disgusting through the night as the first whiff. The worst thing was that our 14 month old had to sleep in the cigarette laden sheets because there was no crib for her to sleep in. It was a terrible experience and the cost of the room was astronomical for what we got. We will never stay there again and will consider not staying in a La Quinta ever again because of the experience and service.

Room was clean but beds were very uncomfortable. Location was OK. Breakfast was lacking anything healthy like fruit. Would not stay here again.

I chose this hotel because of its location, which was near where I wanted to be. The TV offering was extremely poor. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room did have a small bottle of shampoo, as well as soap, but nothing else. It sufficed for what I needed -- a bed for a few hours -- but I would return only in an emergency, like another football weekend, which is why I ended up here in the first place.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only complaint is that the swimming pool cleaning appeared to be neglected (many things floating in it).

The hotel staff was truly outstanding. The breakfast was diverse and very good. Fruit, hot and cold cereal, waffles, bagles, sweet rolls, English muffins, and hard boiled eggs were featured. Milk and juice, of course. Kids enjoyed the pool. Pool towels available at front desk. Again, staff was very accomodating. Good location with shopping, restaurants, etc. close by. Good for an overnight or an extended stay.

A comfortable, quiet room. Just what we needed. Thanks!

less than average, room was uncomfortable no internet connection, room is old and marked with scuffs and stains

The hotel was dirty, there was paint peeling off of the walls and plaster patches where they had moved the towel rack atleast 3 times (which weren't sanded or painted). We had 4 people and they only gave us 3:1 1/2' x 2 1/2' towels. We had a coffee maker with sugar, napkins, creamer, and a stir stick. There was no coffee or coffee cups. There were no cups for rinsing your mouth after brushing your teeth either. Even though this hotel was cheap and at a convienent location it really wasn't worth the saving money.

Traveled for business. Was exactly what I needed. Clean room. Close to town.

Stayed at hotel during homecoming weekend at nearby college. Good value for the price.

If we make the trip up to Clemson, south carolina we will definetily stay at he Laquinta again the three of us enjoyed the stay and the motel jus great!

Great location for shopping and dining. It did not have wifi for us, but is supposed to have it. The staff was very friendly. The decor is a little old in places, but not terrible.
