I've stayed here many times and it is always clean and quiet.
The carpet has nasty stains on it and the sheets/comforter smelled sour.
This hotel is just ok. The walls are paper thin. I could hear my neighbors' conversations clearly, and everytime someone open/shut his/her door we heard it. These aren't pleasant sounds if you want to sleep in. Overall, I do not think this hotel is worth the money I paid to stay there. The room is, however, clean, spacey, and somewhat modern. The breakfast had a good variety, and the staff was super friendly.
i look forward to resting in the clean and comfortable room. I can crash and sleep so good in the comfortable bed. I always look forward to my coffee and breakfast although I have trouble deciding what to eat! The staff is always kind and courteous. I recommend this hotel highly.
Great place to stay for a visit to Clemson. Hotel felt like a new property.
This was my first Holiday Inn Express experience. I must have had it built up in my mind for some reason. Knowing this is an interstate hotel (i.e. right by the interstate highway) I was hoping Holiday Inn Express would offer a bit higher quality. Don't get me wrong, the accommodations were acceptable. I was just hoping for a little bit of a stand out. The mattress needed to be replaced, the shower knob kept falling to the 'hot' position, and the stairwell needed to be cleaned and repainted, and the breakfast was just not good. That being said, the location is convenient to Clemson University, the hotel was clean, and the staff was courteous. Just hoped for a little more at the price point.
I normally stay at this hotel and have always had outstanding performance. This particular time, I was very uncomfortable. The bed seemed unusually hard and it made it difficult to sleep. I tossed and turned and my co-worker said they experienced the same. The biggest change is the breakfast. The previous server was very good, but the new breakfast lady didn't show up until late and food was empty a good part of the morning, making us late for work.
Have stayed several times and have had good visits each time.
