Excellent breakfast. Hotel and room was very clean. Seemed new actually. Beds were very comfortable. Also pet friendly. Free parking Micro wave - TV - fridge. Coffee maker. A lot of electric outlets and chargers. Free internet. Thumbs up on this place
The rooms were clean and super comfy!! the "continental" breakfast was amazing and was filling enough to keep a group of teenagers going full throttle till lunch! We will visit again! The location is not on the main road, which made it nice in navigating. the pillows were plentiful and squishy, the sheets were white and beautifully clean.
I loved my stay here... the front desk clerk Tiffany was so nice very helpful and always had a smile..the housekeeping was very through..i needed shampoo and soap and they brought it very fast.. the breakfast was wonderful and they had a great spred.
We stayed one night at this La Quinta when passing through Anchorage on a trip from the Yukon to Homer. The hotel has been recently remodeled and rebranded a La Quinta. The remodel is attractive and the building exterior is refreshed and the public rooms and guest rooms are modern and very well done with a couple of exceptions. In our room, the “barn-door” on the bathroom would not stay closed. In order to keep it from sliding back open, we had to jam a wash cloth into the outside corner, not convenient or practical for the long term. Also, the room is somewhat small by American standards. There are a lot of nice touches, like multiple places to plug in chargers and very comfortable beds and bedding. Overall, we would probably be back except for a significant event that happened during our stay. At about 1:45 am, my wife heard yelling coming from the parking lot of the hotel, loud enough to be heard on the top floor with the window closed. The parking lot is very well lighted, so she could see a person standing near the front door of the hotel who appeared to be the one making the noise. This went on for the next 20 or so minutes and then it was quiet. Then at approximately 2:45am, the phone rang twice in the room, waking us up. We missed those calls and then just before 3:00am, there was someone knocking loudly on the door. This is not a great way to be awakened in the middle of the night. It turned out to be the Anchorage Police. The person in the parking lot had been intoxicated and had damaged the front door of the hotel and 3 cars in the parking lot, including our rental car, which had extensive damage from the doors being kicked in. In talking with the police officer, he mentioned that public intoxication was a problem in that neighborhood. Now we realize that the hotel cannot prevent crime but their response the next day was telling about their approach to customer service. While the desk clerk that night and the one the next morning, were trying to be helpful, the manager did not take time to talk with us or apologize for the incident in any way. We were given the “going into a meeting” excuse though meeting with us would have taken only a few minutes. We were not looking for them to take responsibility, just acknowledge what had happened and their concern about our night at their hotel. Problems do happen, but what is most important is how the business responds. Their concern for their customers was clearly lacking. We would not stay in this hotel again and when we returned to Anchorage before our flight later that same week, we did stay in another hotel.
This property had only been open for 3 weeks upon our stay and I'm so impressed that I will definitely be staying every visit that I'm in town!! The hotel is hands down beautiful, has a modern feel and is so clean. The manager is awesome!! She was very hands on and helpful. The included breakfast was amazing!! This is definitely the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in! For the price, you absolutely cannot beat this hotel. Five stars all the way!!
Stayed one night on the way up hunting with my dad. Staff was awesome and helpful throughout the stay. From the front desk to shuttle drivers, treated you like family. Breakfast was great and everything was nice and clean.
The location of the hotel is close to the airport, Lakefront Anchorage, downtown Anchorage and the train station. Although Anchorage is a small city, hotel's location is almost same from all major points. Getting to Kincaid park is fairly easy as well. Exploring Anchorage takes about 2 days if you visit Kincaid Park, which you must. Kincaid will take a good part of a day or so because of the multiple trails. You will definitely see Moose and Bear here. Breakfast is a simple affair with cereal, toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and fruits. Nothing great, but honestly you really don't care about this. They do have a good index of restaurants that deliver as well, so if you want to have dinner in the comfort of your room, there are options. The hotel offers shuttle service to anywhere in the city. I took the drop to the airport and the train station. I did ask for a ride to Kincaid park but they had some other guests to drop to the airport, so I took an Uber instead. The shuttles are spacious and frequent (every half hour). This is a real help for tourists. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bed was perfect and the pillows were soft too. The bathroom is smaller but clean and well spaced. The shower can definitely use a soap/shampoo stand and they can provide small travel toothpaste as well. The wi-fi had decent speeds and never dropped. Overall, great location, very good value for money and great customer service.
Great service! I was not in a good mood when I checked in but Tiffany had me laughing by the time I got my keys. Newly remodeled rooms are awesome and very comfortable. Was expecting road noise but it was quiet. Happily accommodated late check out. It is a rough neighborhood though. Make sure all of your belongings are out of view.
Loved my stay here for 2 nights. The staff is really good and very helpful. Gave very good tips on places in anchorage . Have a really nice customer friendly attitude. Rooms are a bit small but new construction . Breakfast offered is good both hot and cold and serving is very whole hearted. Overall a very nice hotel and the very nice customer friendly staff backed with decent breakfast and flexibility in late checkout make this a very good price value and location option . I would strongly recommend this place
We stayed at this newly refurbished hotel for the first time recently and were quite impressed. The room was very clean and attractive and everything looked new from the towels to the linens to the carpet. Although it is located by a busy road, it was not noisy. We inspected the free breakfast but had other plans so didn't eat there, but it looked good and the breakfast area was nice. I would definitely stay again!
