Super easy connection to the city center, just a 3-4 min walk from metro station bullewijk which takes you straight to the city center. Easy to find, close to the highway, good (paid) parking. Checking in is self service which isn't very quick. I'd prefer a more personal approach. Rooms are clean, modern and in good condition, maybe a bit small but not tiny. Good, decent but not great breakfast for a reasonable price. Overall a very good place for a few days city trip to Amsterdam if you want to avoid the very high prices in the center.
I booked this hotel last minute as it was the cheapest, its out of the way from the central but only a 15min metro to the centre. The hotel staff were friendly and we stayed in building 2 on the second floor. As per the below, yes it is still having work done to it, but that didn't effect our stay/holiday at all. The nearest metro is a 5 minute walk away. We have booked to come back to Amsterdam in April and will be booking to stay here again! One thing I would say is there was no bin in the room nor was there a phone (to speak to reception) but that still wouldn't stop me from recommending!
Cold shower, air con and heating not working. Trip hazards by the main entrance. Truly awful. Very basic breakfast. Hard to think how this could be worse. Smells of solvent as so recently painted and filled. Very unhappy.
My partner and I stayed here for three nights whilst visiting Amsterdam from the UK. The room is spacious and clean. From what I can see this is a new hotel, there is a bit of building rubble still outside the grounds but nothing too major. The rooms have a massive shower but no bath, we prefer this any way! We did not pay for breakfast as when we viewed it, it seemed dry and not a lot to choose from. Not much to do of a night but it's is within two mins walking distance from the metro that goes stright to the centre.. Coffee machine with free coffee which is great if you like coffee! Staff all friendly and happy to help.
The hotel is great, clean and comfortable, don’t be put off by the distance from centre, super easy to get on the train and much better value for Money. It’s a lovely hotel could easily of stayed longer
I stayed in this hotel for a quick weekend with my partner. I really enjoyed the accommodation. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Staff is really kind and available for every sort of need of the customer. I would give 5 stars if the hotel was a bit closer to the city center. By the way public transportation in Amsterdam is amazing so you won't have any issue in reaching every single spot of the city.
Hotel Lowell is a good hotel for one night in Amsterdam, prices are (very) fair for Amsterdam. The hotel is situated in the business district of Amsterdam Zuidoost, opposite to the Ikea. At night, there is nothing to do. I think the hotel is a former office building. The interior is business like, in my opinion there is little ambiance. But if you don't care for one night, the hotel is fine and the price/quality ratio is very good.
Good breakfast, room size, bed and rainshower. Very modern rooms. A lot of practicalities missing though. Perhaps owners should stay a night in their hotel to notice (e.g. do not disturb light gives too much light, no ventilation in shower, bar was closed so no place to take a drink except from the machine, wobbling table, very cold at entrance due to revolving door, not very cosy). The hotel restaurant was really empty, even no personnel around. Perhaps good for a stay if you go to one of the nearby concert places or have time to go to the city centre, but otherwise not recommended.
Excellent hotel of this class...newer property and kept extremely clean. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. Internet speed was really good , the only thing which we didn’t like ( the parking ), they have to change the rules of it ( parking has to be free for the customers ) then the hotel will be really perfect , if u come to Amsterdam I recommend this hotel for u .
Pretty easy to find by car, and was convenient for where I was going to be for the next couple of days. Car park was pretty empty, and occupancy rate of the hotel did not feel pretty high as has just recently opened, though has the potential to be pretty good, it they keep prices low. Stayed for 2 days, and rate on the 2nd night was roughly double for the first, even though there was no huge influx of people to the hotel... if anything the car park was more empty on departure. Prices been to fluctuate whether there was an event on, however, my check out was on the morning before an event... so was a surprise. Rooms were very clean, spacious (even with 3 in the room). Rooms had TV with lots of European channels (including BBC1 & 2), and internet was very fast. There was a UK socket in the room as well as USB ports for charging, in addition to the Euro sockets. Nespesso machines in the rooms were a good touch, as well as a standard modern 4 digit safe, and fridge. Bathrooms were very modern with a rain spray and hand hold spray. We were located pretty close to the lift, though noise was not an issue. A strange scenario was that you paid upfront at check-in, not check out... There was an offer for breakfast for €12.50 at point of check in which we took, and breakfast was pretty good if went early - later, some of the hot food looked as though it had been resting a while, but overall, was good value. The barriers for the car park were in the process of being fitted at the time with the machine, as there was an extra €15 per day for car parking. Staff were helpful and tickets for metro available from vending machine. Unsure if there was a bar area... or even ability to eat in the evenings there, they be warned if that it the case. Some food & drink was available from the vending machine Overall, would recommend.
