Hotel Lowell is a good hotel for one night in Amsterdam, prices are (very) fair for Amsterdam. The hotel is situated in the business district of Amsterdam Zuidoost, opposite to the Ikea. At night, there is nothing to do. I think the hotel is a former office building. The interior is business like, in my opinion there is little ambiance. But if you don't care for one night, the hotel is fine and the price/quality ratio is very good.
Good breakfast, room size, bed and rainshower. Very modern rooms. A lot of practicalities missing though. Perhaps owners should stay a night in their hotel to notice (e.g. do not disturb light gives too much light, no ventilation in shower, bar was closed so no place to take a drink except from the machine, wobbling table, very cold at entrance due to revolving door, not very cosy). The hotel restaurant was really empty, even no personnel around. Perhaps good for a stay if you go to one of the nearby concert places or have time to go to the city centre, but otherwise not recommended.
Excellent hotel of this class...newer property and kept extremely clean. Front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. Internet speed was really good , the only thing which we didn’t like ( the parking ), they have to change the rules of it ( parking has to be free for the customers ) then the hotel will be really perfect , if u come to Amsterdam I recommend this hotel for u .
Pretty easy to find by car, and was convenient for where I was going to be for the next couple of days. Car park was pretty empty, and occupancy rate of the hotel did not feel pretty high as has just recently opened, though has the potential to be pretty good, it they keep prices low. Stayed for 2 days, and rate on the 2nd night was roughly double for the first, even though there was no huge influx of people to the hotel... if anything the car park was more empty on departure. Prices been to fluctuate whether there was an event on, however, my check out was on the morning before an event... so was a surprise. Rooms were very clean, spacious (even with 3 in the room). Rooms had TV with lots of European channels (including BBC1 & 2), and internet was very fast. There was a UK socket in the room as well as USB ports for charging, in addition to the Euro sockets. Nespesso machines in the rooms were a good touch, as well as a standard modern 4 digit safe, and fridge. Bathrooms were very modern with a rain spray and hand hold spray. We were located pretty close to the lift, though noise was not an issue. A strange scenario was that you paid upfront at check-in, not check out... There was an offer for breakfast for €12.50 at point of check in which we took, and breakfast was pretty good if went early - later, some of the hot food looked as though it had been resting a while, but overall, was good value. The barriers for the car park were in the process of being fitted at the time with the machine, as there was an extra €15 per day for car parking. Staff were helpful and tickets for metro available from vending machine. Unsure if there was a bar area... or even ability to eat in the evenings there, they be warned if that it the case. Some food & drink was available from the vending machine Overall, would recommend.
a good point of this hotel was the lactation. it has modern rooms and it has enough facilities . smoking is forbidden in all of hotel area. internet speed was excellent. Personnel behavior was excellent too. generally We were pleased.
We picked this hotel because we were travelling by car, so needed a car park and wanted somewhere which was easy to get to. We also wanted a good link into the centre. The drive there was really easy as it was just off the motorway and the hotel turned out to be fabulous. The Metro is just opposite and with frequent trains it was really easy to get into the centre with trains running until at least midnight. We got a 2 day travel pass which was 12.50 euros. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling by car.
Brand new. Coffee machine in each room. Rain shower. Amazing and fantastic staff especially Ilse and Peter. Ilse heated my food in a microwave for me with no hesitation and she was very friendly and lovely. Peter was very friendly, helpful and polite. It's true the hotel is far from central Amsterdam but it's literally 20 minutes on the metro. And the metro stop is literally 3 minutes away. If this hotel is less than. 80 euro a night, it's worth it. If it's more, then probably get something closer to the centre. I give 4 stars because it is out of centre but fantastic that metro brings you to centre in 20 minutes. Night bus also runs and drops you off at Bijmer Arena which is a 15 minute walk to the hotel. The staff are the best part of this hotel. Flatscreen TV also but BBC World was not a channel they pay for, unfortunately. Fantastic frew WiFi. Hotel is middle of nowhere so no restaurants at all except eating in the hotel
This is a new hotel, very clean and in excellent condition - even smells new! Comfy beds, great shower, coffee machine. Very good breakfast. Nice and quiet. So close to the metro station. One stop to the Stadium so really good for going to a concert there. The metro is fast so it's easy to get into the centre too. It's not an area where anything much is going on - seems to be lots of offices around - although a great little bar for good food and a beer very close by called De Proefzaak (welcome as the hotel is not licensed for alcohol) . We chose to stay here because of going to see the Rolling Stones in concert and it was perfect for that.
Conveniently located near the metro for an out of city center hotel. Approximately a quick 5-10min walk from the metro. The first time might be a little hard to find as the hotel sign is not visible on top of the building from one glance, try to spot IKEA and walk toward that direction. Better to use google maps to direct yourself. They have a 24hr reception so you can check in late if you wish. This hotel is new, about 2 months old so the interior and furnishings are very clean and new. I stayed at level 1 which you can take the lift for stairs up. Room is spacious to open up 2 luggages on the floor and yet still have so much space to walk about. The room is carpeted and clean and comes furnished with cupboard, cabinet for shoe compartment, security safe, huge TV, hair dryer, nespresso coffee capsules machine (I love this, a nice convenient touch to boiling water from the kettle!) The toilet is huge too! The rain shower makes up for the lack of bath tub. What I love is they have 2 USB charging spots and also 3 pin charging spot and also the euro charging spot so those without travel adapters need not worry as there are many variety for you to charge your devices. Seems to me like a business hotel. Wifi signal is strong and fast. Would recommend to stay here again as it's very comfortable and staff are friendly! They also allowed me to store my baggage with them after checking out as I'm doing an overnight trip to another city. Thumbs up 👍🏼
We stayed here 20-24 September '17 . Hotel was near to center about 20 min. by metro. Hotel is at Bullwijk metro station and you can buy ticket from here by ticket machine. Hotel was about 100m away from metro station. Hotel staff was very kind people. We didnt have breakfast so i dont know about it. Room was big enough and bathroom was very very good - clean. You can have breakfast lunch dinner or room servise and there are snack or beverage machine in lobby.
