We booked this hotel through the Stena Line Hotel and Ferry and so were not sure what to expect. The hotel was situated in a good location, not far from many shops and attractions and proved a good ranging point for our trip. The interior of the hotel was pleasant and seemed very relaxed. The staff were polite and always helpful. The room itself was good, but basic, but then for us this was not a problem. Our room was situated at the front of the hotel so did suffer from the noise of the traffic which did last a fair portion of the night. We also had some guests (I assume) staying upstairs which at some points seemed to be trying hard to smash through the floor and into our room. We paid in advance for a breakfast which was a very basic continental breakfast. It was decent quality but very basic and I think by the end we were becoming a little fed-up. Altogether, this was a decent hotel for the brief city break and did for what we wanted. However, I think if we had stayed longer it might not have been quite so good.

Had two nights at this hotel with my teen daughter to give her a taste of Amsterdam..... it's a okay value for money and 5 minutes walk from the Van Gogh museum.... and 20 minutes from most places of interest... but no parking for the car

We have just spent four nights at this hotel and throughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is perfectly located with easy tram access to Central station from where most sights, tours etc are. Our room was spacious, very comfy bed and a hot shower, crisp sheets and soft towels. This is a family run business they are friendly, efficient and very helpful with directions, suggestions for restaurants etc. There is a very relaxed garden area which is a nice place to sit while enjoying a drink or two. Highly recommend this hotel especially for international travellers like ourselves.

Stayed here for 3 nights at beginning of July. Check was quick and efficient and staff were lovely. You get handed a 50% discount voucher for tea and coffee at the bar as there isn't the facilities in the room. The garden is lovely and very calm, we found it nice to just sit down in the garden and relax after a day of exploring. Hotel is in a great location! Walked everywhere from the hotel and is definitely reasonable distance to everything. However if you struggle to walk for periods of time then the tram is outside the hotel which is great for getting back to central and then the aiport. Rooms were a decent size, all it's needed for is sleep as we were out all day so was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

Amazing staff and location, Tram stops outside. Staff helpful and friendly, Lovely atmosphere, Comfortable beds, Big rooms. Very clean. Outside is beautiful, Lovely rooms, Child friendly. Lovely food,

We stayed for three nights in this hotel, in room 407. This is one of the attic rooms, which was quite small and cramped for two people and two suitcases. It also is quite noisy when the window is open as it faces the street. However, room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and there is a nice courtyard area attached to the hotel. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, although you could purchase downstairs at the bar. A hairdryer was included, and there is a safe in the room. The lift was not working during our stay, but we received assistance in carrying our bags up the flights of stairs to our room. The location is excellent, with a tram across the road and a convenience store nearby. Walking distance to the city. The breakfast was adequate - continental style. Overall, a good hotel, I would recommend avoiding the attic rooms (406 and 407) as these are (in my opinion) too small to be double rooms.

We stayed a couple of nights in a double room before joining a cruise out of Amsterdam. The manager is helpful, the staff are friendly and the location is very convenient - especially for walkers. The rooms are clean and linen changed daily. Our room rate charge was over double Europa advertisements and advertisements for similar rooms. Our initial Eurpoa room was a 2 star room, converted from a single room at some stage with the addition of a double bed. Our 2 cases wouldn't fit in the wardrobe or on the travel stand. The room description ran a poor second to the room advertised on the Eurpoa website. The manager was able to quickly move us to a much larger double room where our luggage fit and we had a useable desk. This is probaly a 3 star room (see pictures). At the time, room rates across Amsterdam were generally "high" which seemed to be a period of high demand (cruise ship departures ?).The room rate was still a surprise for the size and quality of the room however we now understand Eurpoa's rooms had been block onsold to a third party booking agency in Spain until mid 2018 and price was set by them. The lift is still not operating. Lesson learned - be wary of arrivals in peak times as pricing will definitely peak and you will likely pay more than the room warrants.

We stayed here for my friends hen do! The hotel is in a great location! It's near lots of bars, cafe, restaurant and bike shops! It had a beautiful courtyard at the rear which is peaceful and tranquil day or night. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only thing which did let it down was the bathroom smell from the drains. Apart from that everything was great. We will defiantly be staying again.

The stay here was great, the rooms were clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone made us feel very welcome. It was close enough to walk into the town and there were lots of places nearby to visit as well. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Local supermarket across the road and a nice garden. I would stay here again. Mel
