I needed a place near Schiphol and everything inexpenisve was booked. For about 140 I got a suite, which I didn't need, but it was comfortable and surprisingly quiet (the bar downstairs was very noisy). It is about a ten-minute walk to the train station, and then frequent trains to the airport (9 minutes). Their airport shuttle costs 25 Euros (the train is 4), and there is no breakfast until 8AM on Sunday. I came late evening from Amsterdam--if you don't plan to eat there, don't come, because there's nothing else by a pizzeria. This is not a tourist town.
Nice hotel, has everything one needs. The food is very good but the rooms very basic. It was extremely hot when I was there and the aircon in the room was next to useless. When I got to the room none of the remote controls worked (TV and aircon) had to ask reception to replace the batteries, should have been checked before I arrived. Other than that I had a really good stay. Hotel is close to shops. The bar in the hotel has a really good atmosphere.
I was looking for a hotel room close to Schiphol airport (10 minutes walk to the train station, 10 minutes by train to the airport) and apparently choose the wrong date to fly because the prices were through the roof. This place offered a decent room for a reasonable price. I had read a lot of negative comments about the place being 'run down' etc, but i do not agree at all. Maybe they redid (part of?) the hotel? My room was large, clean, and well maintained. The view from my window was not inspiring (flat roof and wall) but i was there only to sleep so that did not bother me. The one thing i really did not like: people were smoking in other rooms (on my floor) and the smoke was getting in my room. They should put in smoke detectors. Really big plus: i was allowed to leave my car for free on their parking for a few days. I'm picking it up today so let's see if that turned out to be a good idea yes or no...
The hotel looks nice enough, but once you're staying here, the cracks begin to show. The bar was noisy when we arrived. The window of the room could not be opened very wide - I think for safety issues. However, this became a huge problem for us during our stay because, despite all the rooms on our floor being marked as Non-Smoking, there was definitely someone smoking on our floor - it was so bad that the smoke was coming into our room and made me quite ill during the stay. The smoke alarm in our room even went off one evening because of this, but nobody came to check on our room. The breakfast was expensive and not a large variety of warm food - plenty of bread, cheese and other spreads. There is, however, a bakery two doors down on the same street. There are a few restaurants in the area, but not a good variety, unless you like pizza and grilled food. The area itself is very quiet and an okay walk from the train station - not too far but also not very near; it is a couple of blocks. It is not recommended to stay here if you want to spend a lot of time in Amsterdam Central, because the 1, 2 and 3 day travel tickets will only take you as far as Schipol Airport, and you'd still have to buy travel between Schipol and Nieuw Vennep, where this hotel is, so it becomes a very expensive and tiring place to stay. However, it is close to Leiden, which is a nice place, and also a train station from which Keukenhof can be reached by bus. For the cost of this hotel, I would not recommend staying here.
Being not far away from Schiphol airport is an advantage. It is a pleasant hotel to stay, nice breakfast and the quality of the food in the restaurant really improved compared to previous visits. Very friendly and capable staff in both restaurant and bar. Rooms are comfortable with good quality beds.
I stayed here with my family for a weekend. We had quite a pleasant stay. We asked for a room for 4, but they gave us an appartment with 2 separate rooms and a bathroom. Wifi is free of charge and the speed is good, you can add as many devices as you have. Parking space is free of charge and it is public. The hotel is clean and peaceful, staff is friendly. They charged us 10 €/person daily for a breakfast, except they do not charge small kids.
Very fancy room and bathroom. The shower was particularly luxurious! There was a clock chiming throughout the night. I didn't actually notice it, but one of my friends did. The windows were a bit weird to close; I couldn't work out how to fully close some of the windows.
This hotel definitely not airport hotel. Around 20 min train ride to opposite side from airport and Amsterdam. To far away from city. All Journey from hotel to Amsterdam central takes around 45 min. Brekfast 12 e pp, really poor, small selection of food, no worth it.
This hotel is being classified in certain websites as an airport hotel when in fact it is not. It is near Schipol airport but is about 2 train stations away, nieuw vennep station.(outside of the city) It is approximately a 12 minutes walk from the station to the hotel. The ground floor of the property is a bar and restaurant. And is quite popular among the locals. The room is fairly big and the bed is comfortable. Nice toilet and bath with hair dryers and strong water pressure.
Bed and room where big and Internet was free and fast enough. I was surprised that there was no soap. Not even a bar of soap to wash your hands. This was the policy since they didn't put any neither of the days we stayed. Parking is on a public place, free and big.
