Paid for a double deluxe room (so paid extra) and we weren't given a double bed but two single beds pushed together (two single mattresses and two single duvets). I'm sorry but this is what I'd call a twin room, not a double DELUXE room? When we went down to ask if this was normal we were told "yes". I can't imagine every couple putting up with a double room with two single beds. Another couple we were with only paid for a normal double room and were given a double bed so don't understand what we were even paying extra for. Additionally, the sink for cracked and water leaked out from underneath it, flooding the bathroom. The bathroom had an awful smell coming from it constantly. The soup dispensers provided did not work. Overall it was not a pleasant stay, especially during the night when I was falling down a gap between the beds.

As others have written the hotel is very centrally located. However everything from the elevator to the stairs to the door to the rooms were awful. But worst of all the WiFi was nonexistent. I could have written a letter and received a response in the mail before a text would go through. Also very expensive

The property is very well located, being within a reasonable walking distance of the main train station, just around the corner from the Dam Square and on a tram line with a stop almost outside. However, you do pay for the location - in keeping with Amsterdam hotels prices generally, the price is high for what you get We had a room on the 6th floor and it had great views over the city. Staff were all very friendly. The property itself appears to have been renovated recently. However, the beds are still old, and a foam mattress has just been added on top of the old stained mattress. The toilet area is very small and the shower quite slippery. The breakfast was really good - the breads and croissants were straight out the oven and steaming hot! WIFI in the room was intermittent.

This is a great hotel considering its central location and cost. Very chatty and helpful staff at reception and the rooms were well presented, clean and the bathroom was superb. I would happily stay there again.

Good location since bus stop is a few steps away. Centrally located to restaurants, pubs & shopping. Room was comfortable. However, a warning for those travellers who have large luggages ... the steps in between buildings are a killer and one wrong footing could send you flying down the steps. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Note that there is no fridge in the room.

The hotel is ideally situated close to Dam square and also close to a tram stop. We booked a room for four girls and it was very cramped we were literally like sardines. Quite pricey for the standard but this is typical Amsterdam.

I have stated in this hotel at the first week of May 17 with my family. First of all location is perfect, just 150 meters to Dam Square. Rooms are big enough for two adults and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. You can get what you paid. The only problem we had was air condition. We couldnt succeed to adjust it to hear mode. And windows were not closed completely, it needed to be fixed immediately.

The highlight its the location, next to the Dam Square so its near from almost everything. The receptionists were also very kind. The wifi was slow, the room and the bathroom were very small and in the last day, my blanket was dirty.

As good as a cheap(er) hotel can get. Central location means we could do more within walking distance. We had a double room for 2 adults and a toddler. We requested for a queen bed but was given 2 singles joined. Our toddler was pretty much half sunken into the gap between mattresses in the morning. Wifi is not great. Use the park and ride for cheap parking and take a train & tram in.

Had a good stay rooms could do with a full refurb bathroom was recently refurbished and was pretty decent, on a road which is direct to Amsterdam Central Station (15 - 20 mins walk) close to Madame Tussauds, Riley's "Believe IT Or Not", 15 mins walk to Red Light District. Hotel staff good and polite.
