Stayed for few days in September. Centrally located and walking distance to all sights you'd want to see. Room was good size as was bathroom. Both spotless clean and serviced everyday. Staff friendly and helpful. All you could need for a short city break.
Just on our way home, Good location for seethe sight in Amsterdam Was slightly worried from reading reviews but the hotel room was small but very clean. Staff where friendly and very helpful We would stay here again 😊
Have to say we loved this hotel.. Was perfect from start to finish. Gorgeous room, loved the walk in shower and the location was A1.. Only criticism would be being underground, quite noisy but you get over that, who goes on holidays to stay in there hotel room the whole time anyways? We will definitely be returning to Amsterdam soon and this hotel will be our first choice!
Not too bad, me and my mates paid £1200 for a week here, lovely hotel, good room, apart from one of us was on a sofa bed, wasn't really suitable as he is 6ft 5. Good location, 5 minute walk into the Centre, and 2 minutes away from our favorite coffee shop!! Plus subway is literally next door! So when you've smoked too much it's not too far to stumble back to your hotel and you can even get a subway on route!!
This hotel could be so much better if only its' owners were no so mean. Yes the rooms are small, what do you expect its a town house (2) on a canal! The location is excellent, there is a tram stop outside, some nice eateries, and a fabulous bar next door that does food all day - I can recommend the breakfast(s) The staff at the hotel are friendly and welcoming. Sadly on arrival we found the toilet seat to be broken, and disguised by a carefully placed towel. On complaining we were quickly allocated another room. So far so good - No remote for the TV, got one from reception, but it didnt work, not the end of the world - A fixed plug in the basin, which was a small square modern affair with a glass shelf above. As a result you a) could not fill the basin with water and, b) hit your head against the shelf when attempting to shave. So running hot water constantly to shave has probably cost the owner more in water charges than buying a €6 plug! In each room is a lovely control panel for air - conditioning, except there is NO air-con. We happened to be there on one of the warmest and closest nights of 2017. But if you don't have air-con, why have the switch gear? Oh, and the walls are paper thin Would we stay here again? - No, but the next door bar is a must, and probably saved the day!
Good location to stay in very easy to get to places! The room we had was downstairs, the restaurant outside was very very noisy which made it hard to sleep!! The room was very hot, no air con, tiny rooms. I did think the rooms were clean but I came home with lots of bites! Our room key didn't work so we had to ask the receptionist to let us in the room every time we wanted to get into our room, the receptionist said he was going to sort us out with a new room but then never did and never got back to us. On the website it states that they can provide an iron if requested but when I asked for the iron I was told that they don't know where it is. Very disappointed in this hotel!
The price of the hotel was very reasonable for the location. Hence I made a booking and paid online the price via the Booking.com. The room was ready for me earlier than usual check-in time as well. Great receptionist. When I rocked up they wanted to charge extra canal charge. The room was located right under the front stairs. The window doesn't have any locks. So anyone can open the window from outside if they want. (Although there is a grill in place). Given I booked this place during Summer for two travellers. The room was extremely muggy and no air con. I coulnd't stay in this room cause I'm a claustrophobic. It was extremly dinghy. The cafe's outside is noisy. Horrible if you want to sleep in. When I asked for the room to be changed. They gave me negative remarks and advised me to pay more for another room upstairs. Given I felt I was not shown the full picture of the room price at the beginning I decided to checkout 2 hours after checked-in. didn't want to pay a cent more to this hotel. The service at the desk said they can't refund my money as well. Quite unfortunate. and wish they could.
Just back from this hotel perfect location lovely staff but not at all clean our floor in the room had chewing gum behind the door when we first arrived black hairs all over the pillows not once was the floor hoovered me and my boyfriend both home covered in bites wouldn't recommend to anyone as the cleanliness lets this place down big time!!
Nice welcome at reception. The room was tiny but very clean and the bathroom was new and also clean. We walked everywhere and could return to hotel to change clothes. I will say it was good for the price. Dont expect luxury. Its very convenient. We booked taxi feom UK. Booked online with Staxi. €25 from airport to central Amsterdam. And return the same. The were there when we arrived and picked us up right on time. Very proffesional.
