Not good. I will never stay here again. Go to a bed and breakfast. This hotel is no where near as nice as they make it look online.

UMass Campus Center Hotel offers a great location for Alumni visiting the University. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but all in all it was a great stay.

This was the second time in four years we stayed at the Campus Center Hotel in Amherst. The first time, it was so drab and dorm-looking. This time, the rooms were updated and felt quite modern. From the LCD TV on the wall, to an iHome clock radio, to a redesigned bathroom - it was delightfully up-to-date.

It was very pleasant and quiet. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The continental breakfast was great! The parking garage directions were confusing.

Excellent all around; room very clean! Nice staff.

The hotel was perfectly located for our purpose, which was to take a tour of the campus with my daughter. We were greeted warmly and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, recently renovated, and had all the usual appointments plus free high-speed internet access (wired - Comcast.) The bathroom walls were fully tiled and the grout was clean and white. Mirrors and shower stall doors were spotless. The only suggestion I can make is that the towels could have been larger and softer. Travelers should be aware of the unusual location of the check-in. The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor of the campus center and the sign for the lobby simply points to the ground floor elevator bank, a startling dead-end when you expect to find a desk. Luckily, my daughter spotted the note on the wall informing people of the location.

I stayed here for graduation at UMass. The staff were professional and courteous. I found the distance from the parking garage to the checkin a bit off-putting. I also had no idea there was a pool. I think it would have been helpful to have a list of restaurants in town for the out of town visitors. Getting to the hotel from Boston was a bit of a challenge. I highly recommend GPS or use your phone for help with the directions.

Very informative and responsive reception staff. Very concerned about the guests' needs

My husband and I went back to Umass to take a walk down memory lane (as we met while we were both students there a long time ago). The campus center hotel was a natural choice as it was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. They just renovated the hotel and it's just gorgeous. Very comfortable, modern, quiet with all the comforts of staying at a nice hotel. Breakfast was simple but tasty including fresh croissants, bagels, danish and cereals. The only thing I didn't like, but mention here in case someone actually reads this, is that I paid $20 more booking through [...] than if I had called the hotel directly. Yeah.. wasn't happy to find that out. It's a mistake I won't make twice. Sometimes websites will give you a better deal but it's always better to call the hotel directly before booking just to be sure.

Very clean overall. Shower was great. Lots of pressure and hot water. Bed was very firm, a little too firm for my spouses liking. Continental breakfast was okay, nothing to rave about. Could of had some additional food choices. Price was better than some of the local hotels.

The rooms were small but well appointed. The beds, however, were very uncomfortable.

Confusion regarding where it's located on campus, and then where the hotel portion is located within the building. Better signage would help. Staff is very friendly, room was immaculate. $2.00 for a tepid bottle of water when ice cold water is available in the machines for $1.50 doesn't make sense.

We were very pleasantly surprised - the hotel has been very recently renovated - the most difficult feature was figuring out how to get in and out of the parking garage. Staff (primarily students) were extremely polite, pleasant, and professional. The room was beautiful, very clean. When we found the AC was not working, they responded quickly and moved us to another room. We would definitely go back. Amherst is a great town in a great area. Hotel is walking distance from downtown.

Room was smallish but tidy and quiet. After a recent rehab, the entire hotel seems to be in fine shape. Free breakfast and free parking were nice extras. (The parking garage was suddenly closed in the middle of our stay, but space was provided in another nearby lot.) Staff was courteous, price was fair. We're glad we stayed here during Reunion instead of suffering through three nights in a dorm!

Easy check - in, nice rooms, decent continental breakfast.
