Not clean, needs updating. Will not stay again. Do not include.

For the price I expected an average hotel. The non-smoking room smelled like a smoky bar so we asked to switch. We were woken up at 11:30 pm by call from the next shift asking us why we were in that room. He was apologetic and I understood wasn't his fault that he didn't know. The bathroom ceiling was rusty. The room had been partially remodeled by the craftsmanship was poor. Being within walking distance of downtown is it's only selling point.

Good place. Neat and clean. Located at calm place.

This is an ok place to stay. Best rate I could find for a last-minute trip during a busy football weekend at Iowa State. Hotel is an older building but was reasonably clean. No smoking allowed, but room still had that stale cigarette smell. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly. Good WiFi. Room was quiet even though the hotel was full.

Helpful staff, room was clean, close to a lot of restaurants.

Breakfast condiments were not tended. No raisins and brown sugar was just hard scraped at bowl bottom. Room safety latch was broken.

Good price compared to other area hotels, and the room was clean and comfortable.

Loved having the fridge and microwave. Surprisingly quiet for a busy ISU family weekend.

They were nice at reception. The room was interesting as they didn't have the heating and cooling unit turned on. There were no tissues in the bathroom under the sink. They also had the alarm clock unplugged. I imagine this was to save money. Not a big deal, but unusual.

Although the hotel manager was very nice at check in, the hotel itself was not very clean, our room had flies! We couldn't change rooms as they were full and all other hotels in area were booked. Our refrigerator was missing. There is some major construction all around this hotel which is not their fault, however, it's till loud and annoying. Duff is a busy street that this hotel sits on. Parking lot was small and I noticed someone had a grill set up on the side so I wasn't sure how safe my car was there (who does this grill belong to?) I wouldn't stay here again.

When I arrived at the room, I opened the bathroom door and it smelt like cigarette smoke. All the towels in the room also had that odor. I talked to the supervisor about the smell of the towels and he told me that he doesn't know why they would since they use bleach, soap and softener. I was told that there is no way he would be able to help me or to give me a discount or make any changes to what has happened since it was made online. Everything was done and I couldn't be helped at all.

During our stay the hotel was under renovations so there was some noise during the day when we wanted to stay in and just rest. The room service was not daily, we had to go and ask for clean towels. We went out early morning and came back to an unserviced room.

We were in town for a concert at Stephens Auditorium and needed somewhere close to stay for the night. Location is great. Close to restaurants and ISU. The price can't be beat for around $60 a night. Hotel has a continental breakfast, but we did not check it out in the morning. Room is what one would expect in this price range. Perfectly acceptable for one night, but in need of some updating. Beds hard and uncomfortable, pillows ok.

Hotel was dirty..floor dirry. Walls dirty. Housekeeping below average..did not re fill bathroom needs everday... Did not empty coffee pot for 3 days..nor ice bucket..if u are staying for the night it we I'll do. If u are looking for a nice stay...go elsewhere..

Like all other of these type of ''hotels'' the complimentary breakfast is just poor.

We enjoyed our stay and visit with kids in the area. Our room was very roomy and equip with everything we needed. Everything went very well for us. We'll probably stay there again as it was closer to our son's home and closer to restaurants and the downtown.

Good location for dining and shopping across the street.

Hotel was close to everything you would want or need. Clean, friendly staff. The breakfast was ok.. The room is small and the sun was shinning down on the milk and cream. Maybe should be moved away from sun light

The room was clean, but hallways and trash cans outside the motel were not. Adequate motel for one night.

If you need place to stay and want it at budget price, this will do. The location is not great on busy Duff Ave., and the hotel itself is very basic. But the room was clean and did the trick for the one night I needed it.

Thank You for your feedback. I apologize that your stay was anything less than completely satisfying. Most guests like our clean comfortable rooms and friendly customer service. I am sorry your first room had a smoke smell. We do not permit smoking in a nonsmoking room, but occassionally a previous guest could have violated our policy without our knowledge. I have spoken to all staff about informing previous shifts about room changes to avoid waking anyone up in the future. I am happy you liked our location. I hope you will stay with us again in the future and I promise we will make every effort to make your next stay more satisfying and enjoyable.
