Stayed at Villa Fiorentino for two nights during my honeymoon. The Villa is a very cool place, multiple levels all embedded into the cliff. We stayed in the Blue room, which was beautiful and had two private patio/deck spaces, the second of which had an amazing view of the rest of Positano. It was very easy to get to the center of town from the hotel. The service was impeccable, the owners and other staff made us feel right at home. Just wish we could have had more time to use the pool. Would highly recommend.
What can I say, Paola her father the entire family is AMAZING and so WELCOMING. The experience staying here is like coming to stay with your favorite cousins. The views are amazing the infinity pool and drinks are great. the history behind the property is incredible, and Dr.Fiorentino is still one of the few doctors in Positano. The food is amazing here and i recommend you ask Paola for a private dining experience on the main terrace at dusk. Villa Fiorentino is definitely a place to come to celebrate and have a special Positano experience.
At the top of Positano's main village sits the beautiful Villa Fiorentino. This charming hotel has been owned for generations by the same family. The owners are warm and welcoming and will take care of any request. Whether it's arranging transfer service from the airport, providing restaurant recommendations, or arranging a guide for the Path of the Gods, no request is too small. Each morning, a delicious breakfast was served on our room's terrace overlooking Positano. We could sit sipping coffee and watch the city come to life. In the evening, we headed up to the poolside bar to enjoy the sunset and the twinkling lights below. Every corner of the Villa Fiorentino is beautifully appointed and no detail is overlooked.
I've been there during my stay in May 2016. Unfortunately I have booked Azzurra Apartment for just a two days . But when I have checked their reservation schedule I have realized that I was very lucky. I have parked my car on the road just near the property...it was a few steps to take up to reach their ,,front'' desk. I've been welcomed by their super plesant stuff. Their took caryy of my baggage and we have moved to our room. The room was very spacious...the views from our private terrace were breathtaking!!! Belive me you want find it elswhere. The service is incredible!!! Morning breakfast which is served by them is simply delicious!! The owner is a doctor like me so we had a few topics to talk about :) he is very nice person. Now something about the pools!!! On the lower part of the villa is located smaller one like a big thub-jacuzzi. There are mirrors on the corners an a cascade - so it is simply breathtaking when you see this!!!. The upper bigger swimming pool is simply outstanding and lying on the sunbeds near it is a true pleasure!!! All in all I havent seen better place for a relax and time spending than Villa Fiorentina. Best regards BJ
Everything about Villa Fiorentino is amazing! We spent 3 days in the Primavera suite, and we loved every minute of it. First, the hosts are just so nice and welcoming, we felt at home the minute we got to the villa! The suite was spacious, clean, and had the most perfect terrasse with view of Positano and the sea...I could not get enough of that view! Everyday they would set up breakfast out on the terrasse and it was the best way to start the day. The villa is a quick 2 minutes walk from all the restaurants, shops, and the beach, and yet it was always very quiet at night. The hosts arranged for parking (around 20 a day), and had so many good suggestions on restaurants, excursions etc, and they will be happy to call and schedule everything for you. I cannot recommend Villa Fiorentino enough, and I really hope to one day return to this amazing place!
My boyfriend and I could not have been more pleased with our stay at Villa Fiorentino this past September. Ari and the rest of the staff went above and beyond at any given moment to make sure that we had exactly what we needed. They were extremely helpful and informative in regards to us mapping out our time in Positano. We came in pretty opened minded and looking for recommendations, and it took Ari no less than half an hour to draft up a personalized itinerary for the remainder of our stay in Positano. Every restaurant, excursion, and day trip was based off of their recommendations and they were spot on. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!
We just returned from a 3 day stay at Villa Fiorentino in Positano. Our unit was spacious and included a huge patio overlooking the city. Each morning our specially requested breakfast arrived at the appointed time. The food was delicious and well presented. I can't say enough about the hotel, but the steps are definitely something to consider. It was 30 steps to our room and another 30 to the pool. This would have been manageable but after sightseeing in the city with the multitude of steps we could have done away with the extra steps to the room. Across the street is a set of steps to town which take 10 to 15 minutes. Once in town the side street to the harbor/beach is downhill including several steps. Then another 15 steps to the beach and restaurants. Of course, what goes down must go up so heading back to the hotel was another story. 15 steps up from the beach, 1.5 mile winding upward sloping street with several steps brought us to downtown Positano. We were then a 10 minute walk of steps up the mtn to our villa. (There was an option to walk around on a road but you take your life in your hands with all the speeding mopeds.) So, after a visit to town we were not thrilled with the steps to our unit. We are moderately active and found the steps a little overwhelming. if you can do many steps with no problem this is definitely the place to stay.
If you want to experience a unique and authentic Positano, Villa Fiorentino is it for you. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and decided to splurge for the Honeymoon villa. I say splurge because, by all means, we paid close to what we would have paid for the Relais & Chateau Il San Pietro (which we ended-up going to for drinks and dinner and was amazing!) for what I would consider an upscale Bed and Breakfast. The owners were extremely helpful and service was great, but we felt they were somewhat pushing some of the 'extras' on us. You have to get passed the 161 stairs (yes, I counted) just to get to the apartment, and quite frankly, you also have to ignore the rather strange funky multi-colored lit and transparent bathtub standing right in the middle of the apartment next to the dining room table (!?). The bed is not the most comfortable but knowing Italy, I knew to expect that, amenities were subpar (towels, hairdryer unit attached to the wall, shampoo, soap etc. I ended-up having to buy myself at the store). What I was really disappointed about is the breakfast and,
Fabulous stay in Positano with Fiorentino family. Wonderful surroundings, fabulous views and generous hospitality all encountered during our stay at villa fiorentino. Would recommend to anyone hoping for a luxurious stay with local owners. Hope to return again someday.
I also own and manage a Plantation & Resort near New Orleans, and I have managed hotels and resorts for over 35 year, so I am very particular in noticing every single details of an operation and service. Villa Fiorentino owned and managed by three generations of the same family is now run by Domenico, his brother and sister, and they are absolutely wonderful, warm and hospitable. The suite has the most extraordinary view of Positano. But the service and the warm hospitality we received will forever be remembered. I also had the luck to meet their mother who was cooking dinner for her kids and the wonderful smell coming from her kitchen and to the front desk where I was checking out, drew me into her private family kitchen where she proceeded to let me taste everything she was preparing, taking care of me and my daughter like we were her family. What a great place and great people!!!!
