Hotel Miramalfi

Not a 4 star ( by Nr American standard) , maybe 3 star at best . While the view is exceptional given location, it is a tough 5 minute walk into town, or 10 euro cab ride. Suggest hotel has bus tickets for sale and advise clients of temporary services available at off season. Shuttle service not operational. Dining room closed for dinner two evenings out of the 7 we were there , while open for breakfast ( included) same limited offering every day, no variety, Merely adequate . Friends stayed at nearby hotel , they raved about food variety and also had availability of shuttle service anytime from hotel into town, Miramali had shuttle in parking lot, but we were told it was not available at this time of year ( March). Maybe they could co op shuttles So it is an adequate hotel but will not return,

I selected the Miamalfi Hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews. The Mediterranean Sea views from my balcony were breathtaking! The staff were welcoming, warm, and kind from the person checking me in, to the waitstaff in the restaurant. The food was delicious. I enjoyed my Valentines Day meal, it was scrumptious. I looked forward to breakfast every morning, and seeing Maria, who always had hot water ready for my tea. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Whenever I visit the Amalfi Coast again, I will stay at this amazing hotel!

Arrived 23 Feb for two nights stay. Parked on the street where other vehicles are parked. Reception mentioned I can get a ticket but they have parking for 18 euro per night. Since a bus load booked at this location the hotel restaurant was open till 9:30PM, bonus. Appetizer, first course and second was very scrumptious. Cold biere was perfect after a long, wet and dark drive plus 500% mark up. I booked a single room through for 115 euro but on their hotel website which I found out was 100 euro. Single room is not the same as a Standard room. Single rooms are located at the side of the hotel which has a view of the sea but not the same as a standard room with a balcony facing the sea. I do not like misinformation. My single room #20 which is on level 0 (lobby is on level 3) have two single beds. Functioning room and bathroom which has a safe and stock mini fridge. Rate fluctuate based on capacity and season. Check in was a breeze and very attentive staff. Very helpful for tourist info, maps and printed materials for your adventures. Overall their staff were great. Breakfast was delicious with N. American and European options. Make sure you ask if the restaurant is open for supper so you can plan if they are not. I found out the hard way on my second night. During low season most restaurants close early. Remember back side of hotel is Amalfi Coast Hwy and front side is the sea. You can heard the waves hitting the rocks, which some people like and others not so much. Location of hotel is easy walk (700 m) to centre/center/centro of Amalfi. I also walked to Torre dello Ziro, worth it. Enjoy!

I have visited Amalfi in Jan’18 with my wife and stayed in Miramalfi. Hotel is located at Only 5 minutes walk from the main Hub of the city and SITA bus depot. Rooms are spacious and has a spectacular view of sea. Sunrise is vey beautiful from your room. Overall a very good experience.

I went to check in and was told my room had been reserved as only one person and it was £80 a night for an extra person to use the same room. Main other issue was the noise. Hotel has all tiled floors and every sound carries. Very noisy. Impressive view over the ocean and Amalfi and a nicely appointed hotel.

First of all, the view of Amalfi and the sea is breathtaking. When we were being delivered to our room I noticed water on the floor and pointed out a leak coming from the ceiling. The gentlemen immediately called the front desk and within minutes, literally minutes, they moved us to another room. We didn't have to go back to the front lobby and wait, they moved us right away. The breakfast they serve was the best of our experience on the Amalfi Coast! The servers in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner were all delightful. We didn't find the front desk staff to be that warm and friendly but we didn't let that get to us. The walk to town is a little scary as the road is narrow but you only need to be on the main road for a short time. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

This hotel is not perfect for reasons I will explain, but I have still scored it a 5. This is because: Location is ideal. 15 min to walk to amalfi centre (yes there is a road walk but everyone does it, traffic is crazy, but seems to be the Italian way. Would not be suitable walk for less agile who may not be able to navigate this so well). Amalfi centre is perfect base to explore the coast. We used water taxis and 1.30 Euro bus tickets to visit some beautiful places! Awesome views from everywhere. Clean rooms, communal areas and pool (hard to keep clean in October too). Accommodating staff. We asked to move room due to noisy neighbours, they found us another similar room with similar views. We asked to contact rep, and they made calls for us. Did not eat in hotel except breakfast as we wanted to eat out in amalfi. Breakfast really varied and great views from breakfast room. The negatives were only that the pool was not heated (October so a bit cold), the sea/‘beach’ jetties are rusting due to the elements. No fridge, tea or coffee making facilities in room.

My mother and I spent four nights here recently, including my birthday. I have never experienced such WONDERFUL, happy restaurant staff in my life. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and dinner every day - the same staff frequently were on both services (they work very hard!) and they are exceptional. we felt emotional when we were saying goodbye to them! Thank you so much for looking after us so well!!

We are having honeymoon. We have 1 week in this hotel. So on the second day of our staying there was no hot water in the shower!!! Tomorrow there will be 3rd day without water! And they do not have any idea when they fix it! The hotel do not suggest anything: no compensation, not complements, nothing!!! Also we didn't have shower gel since second day of our staying. The housekeeper does not wash glasses during cleaning the room. There are three day without changing linens. So there is not 4 star hotel... We live in their the most expensive honeymoon suit, but it doesn't matter for the staff... unfortunatelly!

We stayed for 5 nights. LOCATION The hotel is, like most others, on the side of the hill. To get to town you have to walk along the side of the road, which is quite narrow and busy, then down 90 steps to the waterfront. The hotel also offers a shuttle but the last shuttle home is quite early! POOL The pool is down below the main hotel accessed via a lift. It is surrounded by deck chairs on various levels once again on the side of the cliffs. You can jump into the ocean if you like. The surrounds in this area need a major overall as effected by the elements. There is a drink service by the pool and towels are provided. RESTAURANT Our reservation included breakfast so we had it each morning. A reasonably basic offering but functional. Not up to the evolving trends with hotel breakfast offerings. I saw some guests getting items not on the standard buffet but saw no indication of what these were or how to order them and was not offered them. The best tables were on the deck outside but if you sat at a table that had previously been used before it was cleared the staff became annoyed!! We had dinner on our first night but it was reasonably basic. Lunch at the pool restaurant was also adequate but nothing special. ROOM Room was generally good but the bed was terrible as well worn meaning you constantly ended up in the middle! Housekeeping was good but showing the inevitable signs of wear in areas such as bathroom. RECEPTION Helpful with helping to call in Italian to make changes to bookings etc. HIGHLIGHT! The views are sensational.
