Had one of our best meals in Italy at this Restuarant. Service was excellent as was the food. Not a cheap meal but spectacular. I had the octopus while my wife enjoyed the lobster from the starter menu. For seconde I ordered the lamb and my wife had the swordfish special. All washed down with a local Pinot Grigio

Our enjoyable Campania trip ended in Amalfi, where we booked 3 nights in Miramalfi hotel. We were looking forward to relax in the Miramalfi hotel, as we had great expectations, given the price, the pictures on their website. The reality was different, to our great disappointment: - the reception looks like a characterless office block built in the sixties, so is the resaurant area. - there are extra charges for fresh squized orange juice, extra towel at swimming pool. - the time schedule of the shuttle service is not practical, every evening after diner in town, we paid a ridiculous taxi fare back up to the hotel. - the pool is dirty, as well as the beach area, the terraces of the rooms. - the elevators are tiny and scary. - no hotel service at all - the rooms are noisy, and unmodernised. A soulless place, a tourist trap, compared to the other hotels we stayed in, in the region during our trip, but this one was so disappointing. Never ever again you will see us, owners of Miramalfi hotel!! We can only recommend that you go on a course to learn what 'service' means in the hotel industry ! Ka

Hotel rooms have one of the best views on Amalfi coast but everything else was average/poor. Room size was much smaller than mentioned on website. Bathroom was very small too. Quality of breakfast was poor too. Many staff members were rude as well. I paid $500/night for a very ordinary hotel and service. Swimming pool had salty ocean water. They have an area where you can jump in to the ocean but no beach. I don't recommend this hotel.

Stayed here with my husband for seven nights in July and just loved it. I have stayed in Amalfi many times and feel for value this is hard to beat. We had a superior room which was large with a lovely balcony furnished with two sunbeds and a table an chairs. As others have said the views are to die for. The sea is accessed by a convenient lift which takes you to sea level or restaurant level. There were many sunbeds and a lovely swimming pool just big enough to cool off in. I felt the pool area could do with a bit of TLC as the steps into the pool were wonky and eventually removed and it took a few days to replace them. (There is a second set of steps around the other side of the pool. Also wonky) The sun shades by the water were a bit scruffy but it didn't spoil our holiday as swimming from the steps was sheer heaven. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful even arranging an appointment for me in a nearby nails salon to repair my gel finish. There has been much said about the walk into Amalfi and I am 64 and my husband is 65 and we managed it very easily most nights. We used the shuttle sometimes and a taxi back sometimes but we also walked down and up frequently. You have to be careful when you cross the road but use the steps down to the harbour and it shortens the journey considerably. I didn't eat dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice savoury and sweet and friendly helpful staff. We ate in the lovely restaurant above the pool which has the most gorgeous views. The food was Ok but a little repetitive. The staff were very nice and efficient. Overall I really like this hotel, it is expensive but so is the whole town. I have stayed at the Santa Caterina in Amalfi but prefer this as it is more friendly and less stuffy.

This hotel is definitely worth the stay- brilliant value for money. Staff were lovely and eager to assist with any queries. Breakfast is great with a lot of choice. To be honest, it's worth it just for the spectacular views- I really can't imagine you would get better. Pool and beach area is also great- never too busy and we never had a problem finding a sun lounger. The reason I've knocked a star off is because of the room. It was surprisingly small compared to the luxuries of the rest of the hotel. Walls were quite thin as well and we had some rather noisy neighbours on our last night which made it difficult to sleep. That being said, the room was cleaned daily and we received a turn down service every evening which was a lovely touch. Never short of fresh towels! Next time we're in Amalfi we'll be back here!

As picturesque as you could ever imagine. The views are spectacular and the location is terrific. Even better are the private sun bathing docks below where you can bask in the italian sun then jump off the deck into the sea. Staff was like family. Rooms are simple and clean. Breakfast on the terrace every morning is the best.

Beautiful hotel experience!! The hotel is built on a cliff and when you can go all the way down by elevator, the view is magnificent as you sit and watch the boats go by enjoying your cocktail - it was like heaven on earth!!!! Very nice staff. All the amenities, free WIFI, free shuttle bus to town, which is necessary as the streets are so narrow, you take your life in your hands by walking down to town. Highly recommend this hotel

Due to problems with another booking elsewhere we arrived late in the evening at the Miramalfi just needing a bed for the night, as such we had done little research in advance. Despite this we could not have been happier and our original overnight stay turned into a week and I would happily go back again. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained and as far as I could tell all have amazing sea/Amalfi views. The staff could not do enough for us, helpful and friendly at all times from the reception, pool staff, waiters/waitresses and Andrea in the bar. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant food was of a high standard and priced keenly relative to those in Amalfi itself. The pool area was never too crowded, nor rowdy. Some points worth noting: the hotel is set into the side of a cliff so there are a lot of stairs around the pool area and the lifts are small, this is therefore not a particularly accessible hotel for those with mobility needs and I'd encourage you to check with the hotel before booking. The pool is salt water (initially a surprise to my children!) and the private beach is really a shelf from which you can swim/snorkel. This did not appear to be unusual for the area (at least when compared to other hotels we visited/saw) and was not a problem for us but if you want a bucket and spade holiday this is probably not for you. Finally, walking to Amalfi (10 mins at the most) is not for the faint hearted. Roads in and around Amalfi are narrow and winding with limited pavement area and not all road users are sympathetic to pedestrians. The hotel offers an excellent mini bus service that I would encourage taking advantage of (though I would encourage the hotel to extend the running hours to allow guests to visit Amalfi in the evening and return safely without being gouged by the local taxi drivers). All in all, a wonderful hotel, would definitely go back.

I first discovered this hotel from a travel brochure and instantly fell in love! We booked a month in advanced and received good communication from the hotel regarding some enquiries we had. We booked directly from their website and got a room with a jacuzzi spa and a fruit basket on arrival. The stay itself was completely a pleasurable experience! The staff were friendly, however, we did find it odd that the hotel needed to hold on to our passports for 30 minutes. When my husband went to collect the passports after 20 minutes they said "it's not ready". Our view was absolutely spectacular! The room was well air-conditioned and really spacious. The bed was very comfortable too! Clean and delightful bathroom with great amenities. The buffet breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the restaurant staff was just great. We had dinner at the restaurant, which opened up to the most beautiful view and very nice meals (high end dining). The best part was the pool and direct access to swim onto the ocean water! We wanted to stay longer and was very sad to leave! Definitely coming back again. How to get to the hotel: We took a train from Rome to Salerno which took about 3 hours, and took a ferry from Salerno to Amalfi (35 minutes about 8 Euros each, cost extra 1.50 euros for luggage). We then took a taxi from Amalfi centre to the hotel that cost 15 euros for 2 passengers. There is also a shuttle bus from Amalfi square near the ferry terminal but does not operate very frequently. There is also a shuttle bus from the hotel to the centre of town, but the shuttle bus is a small van that fits about 8 people, and only operates once every 2 hours roughly, so there'll be a queue to get on usually. Walking is only 10-15 minutes but climbing steps.

We stayed at the Miramalfi Hotel from July 12 to the 18. The Hotel is essentially built on a cliff. The views are splendid. Check in was easy and efficient. We received the information we needed for breakfasts, Wifi and shuttle into the town of Amalfi. We had a Junior suite room that was a good size for 2 adults and 2 preteens... Rooms are bright and airy with a great view from our balcony. Room was up to par, clean and as stated in other reviews can be refreshed but decorum is a personal taste!! Yo dont go to Amalfi to spend days in the room... Breakfast was the average European buffet that offered the usual. Not wow but it got the day off to a good start. Lunch at the restaurant was good and efficient. The pool and sea are all on different levels which made for a lot of up and down, but were worth the trek.. The Wifi was very inconsistent and was hit or miss. Being away from the central part of the hotel can be a reason but connection in the room was a disaster.. They really have to try and improve that one aspect... Getting in to Amalfi via their shuttle was pretty good.. 4 min drive or so. They operated at various hours during the day and evening. Getting back was a disaster. The last shuttle back is at 7:30 pm..Let's face it who has dinner in Italy before that time?? So after dinner we would either have to walk back which was an experience in itself or take a cab for 20 Euros ( same 4 minutes) which left me sour!! The walk back was up 200 feet of steep stairs on the east side of town and then about 3/4 of a km through a short tunnel and a narrow road with cars, scooters and busses wizzing by!! It was an event on its own... But we did it and so be it.. I started using the light on my phone as a warning to on coming cars which helped... The hotel should really try to get a shuttle service later on in the evening to help out those wanting to return to the hotel after dinner. Especially in high tourist season when its full. All in all it was an enjoyable stay and we would return to the Miramalfi. Special thanks to Enzo at reception who recommended a great beach were we spent many days there.
