Traveling through the French Alps and looking for a good place for the night we ended up in this hotel. We had a large room with an add-on for an excellent price. There is no A/C and with the window open for fresh air it can be a bot noisy. Breakfast buffet offered a big choice.
centrally situated in briancon ,this hotel proved to be an excellent choice. The accomodation was of a high standard with a lounge and free drinks,an added benefit; The restaurant was closed but there was a good replacement attached to the building. The breakfast was comprehensive and the cost reflected the additonal provision of a packed lunch;parking was additonal but adjacent to the hotel; The central location did however mean that their was traffic noise in the early morning; All the staff were helpful.
I cant think of the receptionist's name but it was something like Coralee. She handled walk-in guests at the same time as serving guests at the bar. I have never seen someone so efficient. I am particularly happy because she gave us a room with a view over the whole town and the mountains in the background. All the historic forts could be seen. Then next morning there was a market below our window. The room itself was also faultless and excellent value for money.
We arrived after long drive from Geneva Airport. Friendly welcome Room was very clean but small especially toilet. All meals are buffet style . Breakfast was ok but hot food disappointing and cold, dinner was much better. We enjoyed the sauna and excellent hot Chocolate. Location is excellent near to lift to slopes This is really a good 3 star hotel
An experience of for stars. A very nice bedroom, clean and comfortable, a very nice staff. Good location in the city centre, nice view of the old town. A very good breakfast with fresh products. I recommend this hotel.
Friendly and very professional staff, Around 80 Eur for a 4 star hotel is not bad, specially, with tax and breakfast included, (very good choice of food and quality) definitely an excellent deal, I recommend it and that is my hotel if I go to Briancon :-)
We recently spent 2 weeks in the French Alps, most of it travelling on a group tour. Our 2 night stay at the Parc Hotel was the least enjoyable of nine hotels and lodges. It is centrally situated and night time noise emanating from central park partiers continued well past midnight. There is no air-conditioning so the windows had to be kept open to control the substantial summer heat and humidity. Only after a request was made for a room re-clean was the standard of cleanliness for the high-pile carpet and plastic chairs made satisfactory. The staff was curt and unfriendly. The high point was the breakfasts-great variety of quality items, helpful attendants and the option of taking away treats for lunch and snacks.
Centrally placed, efficient check-in procedure, comfortable bed. Secure parking area was nothing more than a small piece of land open to the public. Our Superior Room was very small, with no proper desk and limited storage space. The bath was Napoleon-sized, that is to say, very small. The hotel fronted on to a small park where the local down-and-outs hang out with their wine bottles. We stayed in the Summer but this place is more of a Winter resort, and is well set up for Winter Sports activities. The Old Town is well worth the climb and is well endowed with restaurants and shops, as well as affording wonderful views of the valley.
Arrived in Briancon with no reservation. Found Parc Hotel easily because of its excellent prominent position. Easy check in. The room had a bath which was great after a day's driving. the room was comfortable and the self service breakfast was excellent.
Check-in was not the friendliest. We asked about parking and were told that we had not reserved a place in the hotel parking, so had to find a spot somewhere nearby. The hotel is far from the town's historic centre. Hotel could have warned us about the Sunday market on the street and the risk of being towed if parked on that street. We almost did which would have been a disaster. Room was ok.
