Room not so cosy, surely not a 4 stars superior standard. Empty frigobar, no the/coffee facilities. For this reason i think this hotel is very expensive. Very good service, wonderful dining room, quite good breakfast.

Main reason for this review is to warn you of the Hotel Management and general state of hotel Group of 5 booked to stay in Feb, we are all vegetarians, Hotel Manager explicitly and rudely refused to cater for our needs. I called up weeks before we travelled, his staff relayed the message to him and his email reply was disgusting. Moreover, he did not return my call. They had NOTHING hot to eat for vegetarians and were NOT willing to go to a local store and buy something for us. I am also Gluten Free (Coeliac) and tried explaining what I can/cant eat but the manager TOTALLY and utterly refused to help. So, when we found an amazing takeaway place called "Tignes Cuisine" (catered for Vegetarians and Gluten Free) we ordered in, and the manager, came out of his office (in front of other guests) and asked me to go outside and eat and not bring food into the hotel, I reminded him that he wasn’t willing to cater for my requirements he asked me to GO OUT and eat. Shocking right!! It gets worse, one of our group wasn't aware of his hideous bigotry and later walked in with a bag of chips and was also set upon!!! Manager gave same story of not being allowed to bring in food. When I asked him what he wants me to do, he said I don’t care. Worst thing is, the hotel has TAKEAWAY menus on display at the front!! Absolutely uncalled for behaviour from the manager. Other reasons to avoid: 1. Hotel is no way a 4 Star, at best an entry level 3 Star. 2. Hotel is badly understaffed. * read below 3. Other hotel staff (except manager) are doing an amazing job considering their manger is totally, and deliberately rude. 4. Hotel Sauna was not working . 5. Hotel Steam room was not generating enough steam, you might as well have sat in your own room and put the kettle on. 6. Hotel Jacuzzi was not hot enough, and VERY small, only 5 people allowed. 7. Hotel in room cleaning was not good, there was hotel cutlery and general trash not picked up for the duration of the stay. 8. Hotel bathroom shower/soap was not replenished (I had to ask). hotel is so understaffed the receptionist had to bring down my bathroom supplies. Generally the hotel is a really bad example of 60's design. The lift is tiny and there are odd sets of steps/stairs to get around. The Bar area has a great coffee machine, but due to staff shortages they don’t allow you to use or even buy coffee from that machine. They have a proper kitchen but due to staff shortages don’t cook anything other than sausages and eggs. The breakfast is a joke. Especially for a supposed 4 star. Toaster was broken, they had up to 20 people trying to toast with a toaster that could only do 2 toasts at a time. They lay out is ridiculous, everything is crammed into a tiny corner and you are falling over each other to try and pick up your food. The coffee machine is a nespresso! Totally inadequate. I have to say the kitchen/bar staff and receptions staff were amazing, kind respectful, even though the manager was a total bell end, the kitchen/bar staff offered to cook anything we purchased from the local store, they let me bring in my own gluten free bread and toast it, I know they manager didn’t know about this (until now) as he probably would have stopped me doing that too. I can only infer he had issues with my groups race and colour.

My booking was done through secret escapes. This is a small hotel and therefore a real intimate feeling as if you've know the staff for a long time, you also get to know the other guests too. The rooms are cosy and well laid out. The view from my room was directly on the slopes, I could watch all the skiers including competitions from the warmth of my room. At nights it was curious to watch what I believe to be some sort of snow plow going up and down the slopes preparing them for the next days skiing and wondering how they don't tumble down the slopes. The hotel is in an ideal position, right at the foot of the slopes with easy access(3-5 mins walk) to the chair lifts, ski schools, ski hire, restaurants, shopping for food and souvenirs. Breakfast is always as much and as varied as you can take. The hotel has a small spa which was very welcomed. It also has a small Gym,(which I didn't realise until I got there, and so wasn't able to make use of it. The cleaning staff respected your request of when to clean the rooms. On the day I left it was very early in the morning (04:30) but on request they had prepared breakfast so I could have this before I left. Definitely will be looking to book this hotel again. The hotel, in my opinion has two downsides, 1) they dont offer evening meals 2) they dont provide a kettle so you could make a warm drink to warm yourself up after skiing.

Location: perfect. It's very close to the lifts. Breakfast: great. Nice selection of breads and cheeses. Homemade yogurt is also delicious. Room "comfort": small. Very small. Service: nice staff. Friendly and helpful people. SPA: it's a not a SPA. The jacuzzi is tiny and with too much chlorine. The Hammam fits no more than 4 people and we had to request aromatic essence oil. The sauna was out of order (and it seemed it was not recent). There isn't a proper shower. Hotel stars: either it's a good 3-star hotel or it's a bad 4-star one.

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star but a 3 stars hotel. With that in mind expectations should be aligned. The location is good in Val Claret. Across the street from the ski store and lifts (so you do not ski into the hotel). There is no spa it is 1 jacuzzi , 1 hamman and 1 sauna which was not working during our week there. Breakfast is fair , no options for a light menu.

The hotel is situated in the centre of val claret and ideal for getting straight out onto the slopes. The room was fairly small and basic but it has everything you need and is nice and warm to come home too after a day of skiing. The breakfast is very good. The main positive is the staff who make the hotel. They are all very helpful and friendly. Fabien in particular is lovely and full of helpful local advice!

We stayed for one night in March and found the hotel to be a very good standard. The Room was small but nicely appointed. The bar area is again small but has a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed drinks before going out that evening. The Hotel is within walking distance of everything in Tignes Val Claret although parking is a little further than I wanted after off loading the hire car. All in all very nice and is a good three star property

Booked this hotel last minute on Expedia as we were chasing the snow. It's in a great location central to Val claret, almost ski in ski out. 2 mins walk uphill to tufs lift or a ski down to bollin / fresse or a bit further to Lanches or tichot. You're over the road from Val claret itself. Rooms were a good size, plenty of hot water and baths, not just showers. Breakfast was a good buffet and the ski room a good size and well located. Staff were very helpful. There's even a small spa. Recommended.

We spent a week here in mid-April, and found the convenience of the hotel wonderful, as well as it's boutique designer style. The room was small, but efficiently and delightfully designed. The restaurant was intimate, the food delightful, especially the seafood buffet. Very fresh and varied seafood, lovely buffet design. The bar was a joy to relax in and enjoy an aperitif in front of the fire. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. The ski room had everything at your fingertips, making it easy to walk across the street and pop on one's skis for a day's adventure.

A very nice small hotel with designer trappings. The hotel has lovely stylish rooms and a comfortable , but small lounge on the 4th Floor. Breakfast is very nice although Dinner was from a fixed menu and was not too my liking, albeit it was for others. Staff are helpful and pleasant.
