This is an older hotel that has been very well maintained. Close to town and other attractions. We would stay there again.

When you run the fan the room becomes quiet Refrigerator is fair size for a weekend stay Ample parking Breakfast and dinners are good Room service is a great touch Rooms large sized to handle 4-5 guests Night club opens on the weekend Pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, mini golf Just have to juggle the handle to stop the toilets from running The old Holidome concept This will always he the old holiday inn to me

I had stayed there last year for the annual Sunrise Tour Bike ride and enjoyed the amenities and proximity to everything in town. This year....oh my! We were "offered" a room by the indoor pool - don't ever take that one!!!! There are no windows - just a patio door to the pool area, which is indoors and VERY musty - and a door to the hallway. The air conditioning did not work -they came into the room and pulled out an air filter that was just caked with 'grime' and never brought another one. They did bring us two fans but all that did was blow the hot air around the room...my eyes actually stung from the chlorine out in the pool area....while in my room! We could not sleep, it was that stifling. The hallway was cooler than our room. The hotel did not offer anything, beyond the fans....it was miserable.

With the heated pool, Jacuzzi, pool table, mini golf course and ping pong table, it was perfect for my grandkids and adults.

I needed a place to stay while visiting my daughter in Alpena. Given I had alot of time to myself I planned on going to the fitness center. I mean fitness room which was only open a few hours a day..closed at 2:30pm. There was a treadmill, elliptical and something else. No bike, no mat to even sit on and do sit ups. The rooms were old and dated. Very disappointing

Classic northern Michigan hotel...It has plenty for kids and adults to do...Quiet...Well positioned location

Very nice place to stay. Quiet, clean and friendly staff. Would stay again if in the area and need a place.

Hotel changed to Ramada beginning of week-staff not trained On new system, amenities diminished, poor management of pool guidelines, put In handicapped room which was not required

Aside from poor Wi-Fi and aesthetics, the hotel is full service and an Alpena staple. Ideal for kids parties, adult gatherings, tourist stays and hunting base. The staff is friendly and the food is filling. The after hours noise didn't interfere with my stay. I'd recommend entertaining your staying here.

Room was clean. Key card kept having to be reset. Door one to the hotel remained unlocked, because the lock broke, which I found unnerving. The recreation facility was not managed and there were lots of people drinking and kids running wild. Beer bottles were everywere! The staff was mostly rude with only a handful that cared about their job. Luckily the rm was clean, and the location was good.

Spiders in the room, cockroaches (eek) Breakfast was yummy. Alpena, beautiful. Lots of beautiful parks!!! Had to take my son bike to be fixed and found a shop that was willing to fix before we left. The staff was accommodating to request of additional towels. Overall not bad but the bed were a bit stiff!!!

The hotel was even better than I expected. Staff was wonderful, helpful and efficient. Rooms were clean and well kept. The pool area was large and exceedingly clean. The hotel is adjacent to a dance club so the parking lot got a bit rowdy late at night. We had an interior room so there was no noise once we were in the room.

The hotel is conveniently located and has an above average restaurant. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfortable.

Great place to stay in Alpena. Close to everything, Restaurant, Bar, Indoor Pool, Putt Putt, etc in Hotel. Breakfast tickets for the restaurant were welcomed. Would stay there again.

Nice pool/hot tub. Convenient to downtown alpena. I will stay again.

Nice place, great location, nice people. Great breakfast deal with room, great family areas, great restaurant and bar. Needs new beds, bathroom fixtures and stuff.

Traveled from out of town for a weekend wedding. Location was great and staff was friendly.

This is probably your best bet in Alpena. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise, as it was not mentioned on the website. They give you passes to use at the attached restaurant for your meal. The dome is a nice feature, although we didn't use it. They have mini-golf, pool tables, and ping pong along with the pool and hot tub.

Had a great time! Granddaughter had a wonderful birthday swimming with her friends. Will do this again sometime. Hotel was very nice!

staff were great. breakfast buffet was enjoyed by all of us.......
