Excellent Hotel, great service, relaxing ambience

Complimentary water, refrigerator, lots of electrical outlets, comfy chair.

We arrived tired but excited from the munich airport by cab.we received little assistance with our bags but we're checked in quite quickly. We purposely reserved the room for an extra night so we could arrive and immediately be shown to oUr rooms, shower, and sleep off our jet lag.we were allowed to do that and woke ready to experience some sight, sounds, and smells of oktoberfest. We met some lovely staff at the hotel who helped us a cab to the marienplatz enjoy the glockenspiel, and have a lovely meal in three ratskellar.we even did some shopping for drinks and traditional oktoberfest costumes.

Nice hotel, underground parking, a little distance from museums and downtown.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was average. In a quiet neighborhood outside main center, but close to highways.

At first I went the same chain hotel about 3 miles frome this one and it was almost 3 times the price. The two double beds were a nice suprise because when i booked threw here they couldnt conferm if it was double or twin here in germany twin beds seem to be the norm. The hotel bar was nice and had many local beers. It was about a 17€ taxi ride from the train station to hotel . All in all was very happy with our stay and booking threw here saved me almost 100$ since booking directly i would have had to pay in euro .

The hotel was overall a good value with 2 good restaurants and its own parking garage. However it is kind of far from the subway system which really made things bad. I would try to find a hotel that was closer to a station.

We stayed in 2 Holiday Inns in Munich - downtown/city "center", which is what this review is for and Unterhatching (much nicer). We reserved a deluxe room since we have 3 small children (all under the age of 9). The did not have a non-smoking room that would accommodate an extra cot so they put us in a smoking room and then tried to charge us 30 euros a night extra for the cot. After arguing with the manager, they agreed not to charge us. The staff was generally friendly and the restaurant food was decent. The location is NOT a short walk from the historic section of Munich. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the underground and then a 10 minute ride. We ended up wishing we'd stayed at the Holiday Inn in Unterhatching which was much nicer and just as convenient to the sites. FYI, free parking was easier at this location - no need to use their garage.

Great service and help with computer

We came to Munich for Oktoberfest and were looking for good value, but still in the city. We were only 8 or 9 stops on the metro (Ubahn) from the grounds, so it was pretty close and then 10 minute walk to the metro from the hotel. The room we had was kind of dated, traditional german from the 70's but was comfortable and clean.
