My husband and I arrived at this establishment following a long tiring drive in the rain. At the check in we were initially greeted with a five euro charge for wifi use and no luggage trolley or portarage. The underground car park (nearly empty) was very welcome but not the 10 Euro per night charge, there was unfortunately no other option. Our room was on the first floor near the lift, there was no refrigerator or, safe or toiletries provided. There was however toilet paper and female hygiene bags. The bedroom was large, comfortable with plenty of storage space but the en suite was disproportionately small. The balcony was covered in weeds with a large puddle but the view was limited by tall trees. On check in we were told that the dining room was available until 9pm but we arrived at 8pm, half of it was full of an oriental tour group and we were rudely ejected from two other tables that were set for dinner but vacant, thereason given was that these tables were 'for the tour'. We were put on an unlaid table in the corner of the room. Food and wine were ordered (initially main courses only) when food arrived, although one dish was quite acceptable the second had meat that was almost impossible to cut let alone eat. When the attention of the waiting staff was attracted and the complaint made the offending dish was removed without an apology or any enquiry as to what would be preferred. I had finished my meal before the replacement for my husbands meal arrived and when another waitress came back to ask what was wrong with the initial meal we explained that the poor service and lack of response had ruined our evening and we left, however they did not charge us for either meal, just the wine. That night we discovered that the sound transmission from adjacent rooms and areas was very good! At 6.45 I was woken up by a lot of noise from some of the oriental group waiting for the lift. At 8am there was a knock on the door and the sound of a key turning and it was only by my shouting no that no one came into the room. This was repeated a while later. The manager claimed that this must have been another guest until it was pointed out that my husband opened the door to see housekeeping outside. Obviously there was no system to tell housekeeping which rooms were occupied and there was no (do not disturb card) no kettle was provided and there was a large notice warning of a five hundred euro fine if we set the overhead alarm system off. Breakfast said to be available until 10am, at 9am the buffet had a meagre selection left and all the coffee pots were either empty or cold. On our return to our room later that day we found a card that simply said sorry and two Toblerones. This claims to be an international hotel which it is from an oriental point of view an all the prominent information was displayed in Chinese/Japanese principally, the small TV in the rom had only one English speaking channel which was CNN but two far eastern channels. This hotel charges four star charges for less than a two star service. One of the local gasthofs that we used for lunch would have been a much better bet.
This is a fantastic place to visit and we really enjoyed the park, the environment and enjoyed like children all the rides, of which there were many. The restaurants offered good food and great service and public amenities were easy to find and clean. A great family place to visit for a very reasonable price.
If I ever criticized any 4* hotel I must say Im really sorry seeing this one.Im really not sure for what they should mark themselves in this category as they are in the level of 2-3*.The only great factor was staff.Everybody was nice, smiling, very helpfull and communicative.Ladies at the check in counter were fast and older guy responsible for busses logistic and garage immediately run to went out with his own car to make a place for us.Parking costs 5 Eur and on top you should pay Kurtaxe 2,25 Eur per person and night by check-out.Hotel is fully crowded by Chinese tourists that are crying and running in corridors until midnight.Location is fine,ca 7 minutes walk from the city centre with a lot of original small shops. The room is definitely completely another one as on the pictures of booking. It is like an students dormitory.Quite clean(a bit dirty walls, carpet and curtains) but shabby, small to mid size, old beds and own small balcony with 2 plastic chairs without table with view into trees.Breakfast room is crowded by chinese with prebooked tables and for Europeans there are 2-3 free tables around.Again the staff even looked tired because of them was very helpfull and nice and brought us some bread and croisants and cofee which was not standard for others.Choice was quite good but served in a poor quality and everything was already bit disorganised and dirty from the crowd consuming everything around.Parking is very limited and small and is hard in some places to open fully 5th door.It was not a good price/worth ratio.
We arrived here late after riding our motorcycles from Zeebrugge. Thankfully the parking and check in was efficient and we were soon in our room and refreshed. Large hotel with good facilities. Clean rooms. Later in the night we had a few beers in the bar ( very nice). Breakfast was good, and check out trouble free. Staff were very frendly and helpfull. Recomended.
This hotel is located in a very beautiful and quiet setting. Great views from the balcony. Plenty of secure underground parking. I would say it is within walking distance of downtown Fussen-if you don't mind a short steep climb on the way back. Plenty of places to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Rooms were clean and the staff was great.
It has the service, the ambience, and the luxury of a 3 star hotel but prices of a 4 star! The room was clean but very loud! you could hear almost everything from the room next to us and the room above us.Walking distance to the center and satisfaying breakfast. The breakfast area is realy nice next to the river.
We stayed 1 night at the Europark Hotel and had a good overall experience. We were able to check in at 4am in the morning which was a great service since Fussen isn't exactly a metropolitan. Special thanks to the night porter Ali who made us feel very welcome and managed a very smooth arrival. Unfortunately the rooms weren't that clean and pretty simple.
This hotel is located in what seemed to be a residential area surrounded by houses, narrow steep streets and a small lake on one side of it. I honestly wouldn't have expected a hotel to be located here. You entered a very narrow street with steep hills on either side to wind your way in to where the hotel was situated. The check in desk was to the left of the entry. The dining area was a little further in. Around the corner and down the hallway there was a bar where you could lounge leisurely. The room was comfortable. The bathroom was clean, functional and included a few knobs that didn't do anything I could tell. Apparently, the walls are quite thin as my next door neighbor could clearly hear me snoring loudly. There were three choices for dinner. There was fish, pork knuckle and vegetarian. I ordered the pork knuckle. It wasn't so enjoyable as it seemed tough and difficult for me to eat. There also was a couple pots of white rice with another pot containing kind of a gravy, stewlike concoction. You got yourself a bowl of rice and topped it with the gravy. It was actually quite good. After dinner we congregated in the bar which was down the hall to the left. There was draft beer, wine and alcohol beverages. It was a cozy room. The breakfast in the morning was also good with a nice selection of breakfast items. There was a 5 euro charge for the wifi. Each room has it's own password. The wifi worked but was quite slow. The hotel is also dog friendly.
I arrived in a group of people on December 31, 2016. Unfortunately, we had to stay at this poor hotel as we have to transit here before our next stop. We are a group of 34 people and it took sometimes for us to unload all of the luggages to the hotel. But the big man in front of the hotel pushing the people and the luggages harshly. The hotel lobby is very small and we indeed needed some spaces to arrange all of the luggages. After our tour leader received the room keys, everyone checked in to the room and had to come back for end-year dinner in the hotel restaurant. But, the staffs gave 2 rooms in different building without any prior notice which made some of us had to bring all of the luggages WITH STAIRS. We understood that we had this restaurant appointment at 8 PM and we were late for the dinner due to this issue. Some of us were sitting in the hotel lobby while waiting for the problem to be solved, BUT, the woman with bang said to us rudely to come into the restaurant. We responded her by saying that we have to wait for the remaining people. She replied: "If you guys could not be on time for your dinner appointment, then don't make any appointment at all." She was very rude and impolite. All of us were very offended and mad. I dont remember her name but we were there on December 31, 2016 on 8PM and she has bangs on her hair. Very very bad service from the hotel. Definitely will not come back. In the room, as you can see in the pictures, the hotel is really old, not clean and disgusting. Try to stay at other hotel if you plan to visit Fussen, not recommended at all!
Stayed overnight in Fussen at the Europarkhotel International. The hotel is located up a small slope so you need to walk a bit from the town to the hotel and yes, its a bit dark at night but nothing dangerous! We had a room with balcony and facing the river. Lovely room but a bit small and no water kettle to boil water. Bathroom is small but clean and lots of hot water. When we were there, someone was playing the flute and trumpet in their rooms and we could hear them clearly. Walls a bit thin but when we called the front desk, they solved the noise problem quickly!
