Upgraded to superior room which provided access to the select lounge where at or before midnight one is thrown out in the most off hand manner having to leave drinks and virtually pushed out of the door.Otherwise the lounge areas are not great or comfortable so would have struggled without access to it. The dining room is more like a communal feeding centre which is supposedly open for lunch until 3pm but in reality means the buffet food on display is removed at that time. Staff are generally not friendly or helpful.Have passed my concerns on to Nicky the Guest Relations manager who was very helpful and took note of our complaints.
We had booked through previous reviews on trip advisor liked the all inclusive package. The bedrooms are lovely we chose the 15floor which has great views on balcony. Bedrooms lovely size our room had 2 double beds nice touch not seen this before. Bathroom modern with big mirror handy makeup and drying hair all same place.I liked the fact provide you with shaver and shaving gel nice touch not seen before. Kettle in room and cups no tea stuff odd as all tea or coffee facilities all available bar area lovely. As you can help yourself great selection of herbal teas and coffee filter ECT. Loved the comfy chairs by the bar great for enjoying drink or playing cards evening. Separated off area for premium guests I personally don't think great idea as boxed in but some people like having more expensive alcohol available 24/7 when alcohol provided in all inclusive is good enough for everyone else. Bar area great water machine, crisps or peanuts available on request. Liked modern music playing overhead look out to the sunloungers or drink outside if you wish. Swimming pool lovely bit too cold in April, great selection of sunloungers and seats. Shame as you have to pay $18 euros 2hr slot pp to use heated indoor swimming pool and spa heated seats, hot tub and sauna rooms. As cold outside to swim bit cheeky charging guests to use indoor pool as in spa and you have to wear a swimming hat. It's worth using heated swimming pool as nice touch. Food is amazing such choice I love the hot food stations there are two fish and meat.Whole fish cut up infront of you or joint of meat. Wonderful salad selection and bit of British and local food. Wow great choice all day:)))))))) Great value for money rose and white wine is lovely we helped ourselves brought wine to our table which they don't mind.Used the free bottles water out fridge great. Nicki hotel rep so friendly and very helpful definetly worth talking to she helped us take the local bus to Altea. The Jet 2 lady reps great.
Returned today from sandos monaco, having stayed in feb 2017, we took and easter break here. We dont usually return visits, however we enjoyed everything about it last year, we thought why, glad we did had a wonderful week. Staff were wonderful throughout, spa downstairs, is a delight, food was great always something decent to eat, try something different day. We like the select lounge, upgraded since last year, still a really pleasant environment, i particularly like the way the bar is checked regularly throughout the day and restocked accordingly, never anything left running low. Room and communal areas were spotlessly clean, you know what, i may even try a third visit in the future, great stuff...
Went to Sandos for first time last week.Found hotel to be clean nice beds, good size rooms basic but all you want.Had 412 just perfect found my better half that isn't to keen on heights.Bathroom very good ,but ,be carful, the, the none slip surface strips inside the bath had worn therefore is quite slippery when wet.Spoke to the very nice Nicky about this and told me she would bring it up with the boss.Food good the breakfast bacon however needs to be drained of oil before serving ,apart from that nothing, soups roasts sweets, all really good.Went all inclusive all staff good and attentive enjoyed the beer and my wife the wine.Sleep quality good couple of sirens from the daft end of Benidorm but round the hotel no problem at all.Maid service good also staff on reception were very informative with any questions I had.Couple of the sun beds on the terrace had some cracks in the plastic terrace very well washed down each day and kept well by bar staff.Evening entertainment was ok loads of entertainment in resort if you wanted but we had good nights in house and with the ai deal all bills are dealt with.To sum up this is a clean friendly hotel with good food ,we didn't use the spa however as the weather we had was good so we spent time on terrace Shopping in old town not far away and good prices are available boss got great dress for only 40 euro
This was my third year visiting the hotel with a mixed ages group and family and friends. As always the hotel was excellent. Staff are very friendly especially the bar staff who make an effort to get to know you (and your drink). The hotel is spotlessly clean and beautifully designed inside and out. The food is just... wow! Amazing. So much choice and everything is the best of quality! You will never not find something to eat in the Sandos! The location is great as it’s very close to the beautiful old town but close enough to the pubs and clubs on the strips. The only small down side was the evening entertainment which seems to have taken a dip compared to previous years. The entertainment staff keep changing which means they don’t have a rapport with guests and things fall a bit flat. There wasn’t the usual buzz in the evenings and the salon was actually a bit empty as people must have decided to go out with the hotel. The spa is amazing and I would highly recommend! Overall it was a fantastic holiday and I can’t wait to get next year booked up already! Well done Sandos! 👌🏼
I stayed at this hotel with my family in July 2017, & I’ve got to say just one thing - Fantastic! I met a lot of nice people while I was there, especially Mickey & Romina, the bar staff as well. I also won the killer pool completion, and the best singer on karaoke with Kingston town by UB40, sacrifice & something about the way you look tonight by Sir Elton John. The food was excellent, but we had 2 bad rainy days, but the weather can’t be helped I guess. I hope one day I’ll be back. Look after yourselves, John Clough.
Had yet another great stay at The Sandos Monaco in March to celebrate my birthday . Everything was , yet again , perfect ! We requested a high floor with pool view and we were given exactly that ,a lovely room on the 16th floor with great sea views too ! We arrived back to our room on my birthday to find a bottle of bubbly on ice and 2 glasses ,this was a very welcome surprise ! We took advantage this year of the invitation for an Indian meal at the sister hotel , Sandos Benidorm suites . The meal was lovely and so was the wine and we were made very welcome and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere . Sandos Monaco continues to please us every year as everything is just perfect , the staff , the rooms , the food , the cleanliness and the great location ! We just wish 3 or 4 night stays were available so that we could visit more often for mini breaks throughout the year . Will definitely return and will carry on recommending to family and friends
This hotel was amazing, we enjoyed our stay during the Valentine period, we thought the food was plentiful we had wished for a bit more Spanish food however the paella was divine... The bedroom was spacious and comfy, we were on the top floor and enjoyed some sunlight. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly on arrival and each time the maid came she left us another very strong drink. Most of the bar staff were quite accommodating, the milkshakes were a lovely touch. Unfortunately we did not get to experience the outdoor pool as it was far too cold. We did enjoy the indoor pool and spa facility - a much more enjoyable experience when empty. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us information about the nightlife in Benidorm and what to expect. The only thing I would say is that as a hotel when giving gifts to the guest, even if it is just the females..ensure there is enough for all. In all this is a great hotel to relax in and a lovely getaway.
A first class hotel service excellent very friendly staff. We had some massages while there a big thanks to the lady who did them she is very good.Looking forward to our return visit hope it will be soon
Fabulous hotel nice food nice staff and very good entertainment all members of staff made you very welcome from the reception through to the house keeping staff the hotel is set back from the prom four blocks but only five minutes or so up a slight incline so if you have trouble walking this might be a bit of a problem
