This was our first all inclusive experience in Europe and we absolutely loved the Sandos Monaco Beach Hotel and Spa. We stayed for five nights 15th to 20th October 2017. The hotel is situated very close to the Levante beach and 5 mins walk to the English Square area with its Cabaret bars and entertainment. Food and drink at the Sandos was excellent and facilities are first class as is the service from all staff . Cleanliness is important and the Sandos should be congratulated, as the hotel, as well as pool area is always spotless with staff regularly cleaning and clearing any glasses or dishes. A quick mention for the spa which is beautiful, calm and relaxing and for 13 euros, excellent value. You would pay three or four times this much for similar spa facilities back home. We are already planning our next visit. Cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and the Management and Staff should be very proud of a first class team effort which made our stay so enjoyable. Muchos Gracias!
best hotel I have stayed in Benidorm but compared to one other sandos hotel in the canaries, does not meet the mark, food is good but after 8 days out of 14, food became very repetitive. alcoholic drinks branded but not enough variety.ie pink or other gins. pool and sun bed situation for me not good, so went yo the beach every day.
I stayed here at the beginning of July. First time and wow I was really looked after from day one to day day Severn. Food was plentiful and a good choice, drinks every thing I could possible want, nuts and crisps a nice touch. Did not see the point doing select, why would I want to shut myself away from other people, I like to mingle and chat. Room spotless no complaints, nice little touch with the shot bottle and glasses. Pool just fine for us, we went to beach in morning and pool in afternoon, always managed to get sun beds no probs even in July. Met some nice people when doing the activities, I will be returning ,hopefully next year
Loved this hotel, staff was lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Excellent selection on food with plenty of choice for everyone. Entertainment could do with a little improvement though. Also felt that the pool was slightly in the wrong position as it gets shade but also the temperature of it is icy cold.
Our first visit to Benidorm and we were recommended the Sandos Monaco Beach Hotel & Spa by friends for our stay, we were not disappointed. The Sandos is very clean throughout and the staff are all friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was well appointed, clean and airy with TV, safe, fridge, kettle and hairdryer in the bathroom, everything that we required. The entertainment staff are so friendly and work really hard, the evening entertainment varied from really good tribute acts to flamenco dancers to disco and karaoke. We enjoyed it all. Our holiday was over all too soon, but we will definitely be back to Benidorm and the Sandos Manaco.
This hotel ticks all the boxes. Food is good and plenty of choice. The entertainment was pretty good too. Liked the fact that you could get crisps and salted nuts from the bar included in the all inclusive package. We requested a low floor room as my partner has mobility problems and were allocated one on the second floor which was brilliant. There wasn't an issue with sunbeds as with a lot of hotels. These were plentiful and you could get one whatever time of day that you went round the pool or around the snack bar. On our return to Benidorm we will definitely choose this hotel again.
The first time we stayed here was 5 years previous out of season and now our daughter Is 18 we choice to go here as a family Sept/Oct 17. Upon our arrivial again was a very early flight ( inwhich we hadnt slept) our room was Smaller than when we previously stayed even though their was 3 of us with a single bed in front of patio doors .After speaking to reception we were offered a room with two doubles if we were prepared to wait an hour or so...so we had lunch We were so glad we did because the room was much better over looking the pool. The place in general is very clean and rooms are cleaned well daily with fresh towels. The "inc drinks" are of good standard....but my partner craved a quality pint!!! As there us only one on draft available unless pay supp for bottles. I on the otherhand was lucky as i drink Ron Bacardi and got this but all other spirits are local unless you pay for a premium stay (vip) inwhich if you do that was a lot more!! The thing i would say ( inwhich i thought these words would never come from my mouth) the amount of alcohol is huge in comparison to the size of glass you get? So very strong and they dont seem to have bigger glasses so you can have more of a mixer? Wine was ok and Sangria...( nuts and crisps too).plenty of selection of soft drinks...great coffee and selection of teas ( selection of biscuits) The restaurant- was lively and very busy morning was "the fry up "about 4/5 diff eggs cerals fruits/pastteries jams and juices and continental style lunch and evening with diff fresh fish, joints of meat ,pizza bar huge salad bar with an array of other buffett style dishes all of good quality . Gluten free area and "wellbeing food area" great selection of fresh fruit /yoghurts and fresh bread(s) puddings/sweets and ice cream on pump! The pool bar was more casual offering Burgers, hotdogs, pizza, chips and Doner salad and fruit. Our only criticism on the food even though we felt was of high quality was after a few days we felt "fooded out" and needed something different as we felt it started to merge . We craved "spice "and flavour as fresh herbs we didnt see and vegtable selection was poor!( maybe due to seadonal?) And one day i just wanted a sandwich on a soft roll but the only soft rolls were in the pool area but hot and cold meats were in the restaurant with crusty bread(s) too hard for a sandwich...which i felt was not a hard thing to ask for? And no ice cream around the pool but just in restaurant? But it didnt stop me putting weight on!!! We did take advantage of our free meal at their local sister hotel for an indian meal ( we felt this was on trial run) and our craving were not met here and have to say worst Indian ever!! Bland all looked and tasted the same and all pre-cooked away from restaurant no authenticity ,no herbs..sorry it was just terrible!.., but again lovely ambience and under the right direction and Good onsite chef it would be a big hit!!! The day/evening Entertainment was "ok" if you couldnt be bothered going out and i have to say the entertainment staff were all very nice and couldnt of worked harder with what they had...but maybe bringing a few more live acts inhouse would be good. The evening bar was good and freindly until it hit a few mins before 12 ( closing) then turned moody and generally ( even then if paying) were relecutant to serve and made to feel uncomfortable if we had been out all night and returned for a nightcap! The gym was ok snd nice as a free added extra and obviously if your out for a true splash out try the spa! Pool alway freezing! Didnt really fight for sunbeds either and can hire towels. But lovely staff and central location.
Came home yesterday after staying here for a week and its the best hotel I have ever been to. Service and staff are wonderful and hotel and rooms very clean, bright and cheerful. Good sometimes repetitive but never went hungry. Entertainment was splendid and the bar staff very friendly and Energetic. I had a small problem regarding the safe in our room however reception staff were always on hand to help. I'm thinking of booking again for next year.
This was our second year at this hotel, it's the nicest, friendliest hotel we've ever been to, it is spotless, food is exceptional, staff in restaurant and reception can't do enough for you. Entertainment was really good and the bar staff fantastic.
