Reception not helpful at all. Clearly having a bad day. Room fine and clean. Alright for a stopover but any longer than one night would not be a good idea. Location not bad.there is no outside space. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, we didn't eat there but not sure if there is access via the hotel or you have to go outside the hotel to get to it. Shame when you are in Spain not to be able to sit outside with a glass or cup off. Yes I would say this hotel is soulless
A group of 8 stayed at this hotel on a room only basis. Lovely hotel, centrally located for food and drinks. Helpful welcoming staff. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped. Aircon, radio/cd, tv, free wifi. The hotel also had a private underground garage for our motorbikes. I would definitely stay here again.
There is nothing typical about this hotel. A standard, modern business hotel with decent accommodations but not much soul. Regrettably there is no relaxing chair in the room to sit in the evening. Restaurant in hotel is ok.
A nice modern hotel in lovely Spanish town Helpful staff Rooms are a good size and bathrooms modern If you have a room at the back of the hotel you have a great views of the ancient bridge The gym was really disappointing, only two bikes and a running machine - running machine did not work and only one bike was working properly There is a very small spa area with a jacuzzi and two beds - it was a nice space for us to use after a day out but wouldnt like more than two people to be using it at once Breakfast was good (but only really if you pay when you book the room) - 11 euros otherwise which i think is a lot. Fresh juice, coffee, breads, cheeses etc - enough to fill you up for the day Alcoy old town is about a 5-10 minute walk Next to the hotel is a large shopping mall and cinema which is worth a visit many restaurants and bar within a two minute walk of hotel will stay again if visit Alcoy in the future
A nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. The bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable beds but a tiny tv. The view from our window of the river valley was quite impressive. The bathroom was very stylish, but I pity the cleaner who has to shine the glass sink. Breakfast was continental with reasonable choice considering the cost when booked with the room, although if ordered on the day the cost was around double and maybe not such a bargain. There is a gym which consists of two bike trainers, a running machine which was not functional and weights. There is also a spa consisting of jacuzzi and a tepid steam room. Some reviews state that there is a free mini bar... Not really. You have a fridge with free water which is replaced daily. Not what I order when I go to the bar but a welcome bonus.
This hotel is perfectly located in the center of Alcoy. Cobblestone streets, a view of ancient bridges, but with all of the modern amenities you would expect in Spain. The rooms are modern with gorgeous bathrooms and a well-stocked (and complimentary) mini-bar. The staff is exceedingly gracious and helpful, and most speak English. I will be returning!
Alicante was absolutely stunning with it's beautiful gardens and amazing Ficus trees. If you've never seen one, you need to google and take a look. They are something out of what you would visualise in Lord of the Rings. We had plenty of opportunity to experience the gardens because the hotel was a good twenty minute walk from the beach and centre in what can only be described as to docklands area. The hotel itself was very well appointed and the rooms were basic but clean and well furnished. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. The bar and bar staff and reception staff were absolutely fantastic. Food was somewhat expensive but quite palatable. All in all a very enjoyable stay although you should be choosy when deciding where to dine in the evenings. The old town is stunning and there is a huge choice of restaurants but there are some that need to be avoided at all costs. I would say this is more a business hotel than a holiday one.
This is a nice hotel that is close to the center. I will give my review in the form of pros and cons: Pros: + Limited selection breakfast, only cold stuff but good quality + Nice room, very good bed + Very nice bathroom, with a designer transparent sink + Good internet (though you need the free daily password) Cons: - Small LCD TV, lots of stations did not work - Minibar only supplied with water, but you can buy soda or sweets at reception - There was no safe in the room
My friend and I stayed at AC Marriott for four nights (room 612). This was a lovely hotel overall. The staff were so attentive and were very friendly. The rooms were of a very good size and had excellent air conditioning. The bathroom was also a good size bathroom with really fluffy towels. There was a mini bar but no safe in the room. The breakfast was very good but at a price of €15 was a little expensive. However there was a good choice. Maybe if you booked the breakfast in advance when booking the room it would be cheaper? The location was not bad....it's around €5-6 to the port and centre of town so not as close as I would have liked but taxis do come pretty quickly so not a big problem for us. The only down side was the pool...or rather the amount of sun loungers that are around it. There are only around 15 sun loungers there and it would be almost impossible to have any more due to the decking area. This is very disappointing because even if you get up early they've been taken already...you really would have to be there around 8/9am to get a sun lounger in peak season. Out of the four days we were there we only managed to get sun loungers once and one day we got one lounger and one chair. So not ideal. Unfortunately I can't see what the hotel can do about this due to the restricted area of the decking. It's a shame as if this problem could be solved I'd stay here every time I visited Alicante. Everything else was really good. Great pink gin too!
Service level was good. They had plenty of parking. Room service menu was great and the food was top notch. View from our room was really nice. Clean, good hotel. Centrally located, yet quiet street. They had good enough English at the reception and the breakfast was nice. They even had nespresso machines. All in all a very nice stay. Alcoy was a great place I will go back to.
