Hotel Belroy

Lovely clean rooms with the added bonus of tea and coffee facilities and a fridge in the room. Breakfast had plenty of choice, the English cooked breakfast wasn't great tbh, but plenty of other choices, even free cava at breakfast! evening meals were lovely, but you are right in the heart of Benidorm here with numerous bars and restaurants on tap. The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to help. Definitely would stay again.

We stayed at the Belroy Hotel in March 2018 and had 2 Superior Rooms. We arrived before the allocated Check-in time but the friendly man on reception made a few calls and we were in our rooms in no time at all (much appreciated!!) I was pleasantly surprised by the room itself. It was on the fourth floor overlooking the main road with views out to the sea. The bed was large and comfortable, there were some nice fittings (lamps etc) and a comfy sofa as well as a desk / mini-fridge. It was all clean and bright with full length (openable) doors along two walls, so there was plenty of light and air when needed. The bathroom décor will not be to everyone’s taste, but I quite liked the clinical plastic cement look and the whirlpool bath was enormous. Our room was located at the front of the hotel on a fairly busy road. As the air-con was not really set up for summer (it kept trying to heat the room not cool it), we often slept a balcony door open. This meant we got bitten to death for the first couple of nights (until we bought a plug-in repellent) but most annoyingly it also meant the road noise was quite obtrusive. I sleep quite well under most circumstances, but I was often woken up in the very early hours by road sweepers, bin lorries, drunks and on one occasion what sounded like a series of explosions (?!?!). So bear this in mind if you like to sleep with natural air coming into your room. We booked full-board which is something we never normally do, and whilst we did not make full use of this facility every day, we ate there often enough to get a good impression overall… I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and variety of the food available. I’m not quite sure what I was expecting from a hotel in Benidorm, but it wasn’t all fish fingers and chips. They regularly had varieties of stew type dishes featuring beef. There was lamb, chicken, pork, salads, different types of potatoes, breads, desserts, yogurts, ice-cream and many other items in-between. A word of warning for those Brits who like their British back bacon of a morning…. You won’t get it. It is the thin, streaky Spanish variety being served. This wasn’t an issue for me, as I like it. As we were out of season, the hotel was quiet and the age range was towards the upper end of the market. On entering the dining area for the first time, I did feel like I was on the set of Cocoon. It also meant there was no rowdy groups of stags/hens and everything was quiet an orderly (I nearly typed “eldery”), Whilst we are on the subject of seasons… As I say, we arrived in March and hotel prices seem to be a fair bit lower as hotels compete for the reduced traveller headcount, even so, this hotel is not cheap. Sure if is clean, pleasant and has quality finishes, so that makes up for most of the cost; however, after doing a quick price check for mid-summer, I can see that the prices increase fairly considerably, and I’m not sure I could justify the increase. I’ve spent less on stunning 5-star beachfront properties in South East Asia, so whilst not a fair comparison, it does sway my judgement. Because of the cost, the road noise and the lack of replacement bottles of water (unacceptable in a hotel of this cost) I am going to knock a point off, but that’s the only reason. Everything else, from the staff, to the room and the facilities met my expectations perfectly. Definitely recommended.

This is a 4 star hotel, nice friendly staff, clean rooms, well serviced by staff, cafe, bar, sun beds, highly recommended. Central location for the old, or new town, beach across the road, on level ground.

Myself & my wife stayed here may 2017, we found it to be nice, reception staff helpful & great location with fantastic views. 5 min walk to beach & just a stones throw away from all amenities. We will be returning to this hotel in the near future.

We arrived for 6 nights and were immediatiatly impressed by the reception and lounge areas, which were beautifully lit, with nice seating and modern, shiny tiled flooring. The central location of this hotel is good and we guess that because it's a more expensive hotel we didn't encounter rowdy guests. The bar area is nice and they had a singer on each night, albeit very staid. Prices of drinks: Diet Coke €1.50, Vodka €4, Brandy €3, Bottled Water €2, Amaretto €.4.75, Baileys €5, Glass of house wine €2.50, Glass of Cava €2.40 Food was fine. Plenty of choices at breakfast and for dinner, but like any buffet food it can be luke warm and get very repetitive. We liked the fact that they will label your wine up for the next day if you aren't able to drink it and that the house wine @ €7.50 was good value and not bad wine too. I would have given an over all rating of excellent if: 1/ Complimentary water was given with the evening meal. Strange because they provide Cava and water with breakfast? 2/ That water should be provided in the room on a daily basis. We were given 2 bottles on our arrival only and nothing for the rest of our stay. 3/ More than 1 sachet of coffee and milk should be provided on a daily basis. 4/ The indoor pool was tiny and much smaller than pictures we'd viewed. In fact, more than 4 people in there and you'd be swimming into each other.

We stayed here for 19 nights half board our room was comfortable nice balcony used kettle a couple times with bottled water and there was an oily top on water so used a full water bottle to clean it .towels were a couple times not replaced we had to buy our own tea bags coffee and milk as occasionally got a few the same with toiletries although we brought our own its supposed to be 4 * plus .the hotel was great location and nice to have inside pool this time of year the cafe bar very pleasant and entertainment on every night .food we didn't get down for breakfast much as I am taking that much medication for my illness my fault but was fine when did get up .the main meals at dinner was very repetitive we only used it approx 6 times out of our stay.and staff in restaurant hardly spoke .what i can say was 4*was the reception staff what a lovely lady she was couldn't be more pleasant very helpful so thank you to her and jake and the other gentleman they were all lovely couldn't fault them well done to reception staff . We would return I think a few improvement to make it a 4* though but still enjoyed our stay thank you x

We go to benidorm every year...have stayed in some dodgy places...BUT belroy has been one of the best is central without the noise...rooms really clean...staff helpful (thanks Jake in reception and mario in dining) breakfast is simple but i like simple in morning...fresh fruit every morning...we stayed in feb so plenty of sunbeds etc ...indoor pool pleased the teenagers on colder is really 2 min walk to can hire bikes etc in Marco polo beside hotel..(would recommend E bikes)...i would be glad to answer any questions Belroy hotel....

Just returned from a 10 night visit, booked into a superior sea view room which was excellent very spacious with good facilities the bathroom could have done with a separate shower instead of one over the bath as there is plenty of room for one. All of the staff are very polite and the facilities are maintained to an excellent standard. The only negative comment we can make is the food it was never hot as they did not top up or swap the trays frequently so it just stood there. But overall we would still return as it is in the right location for us.

Just had a short break in a superior room on half board. My wife now wants one of those baths which I must admit I also enjoyed although I normally prefer a shower. The room was well equipped and a good size, only downside was no bbc on the tv, only itv. The staff were all friendly and helpful with a special thank you to Jake at reception who helped us enormously. The food was good and varied, table cloths rather than plastic. T he bar was reasonably priced with a singer every night. We will definitely return.
