My experience in this hotel was really good. The Hotel was chosen by the organizer of a Tango encuentro. I was surprised to reach a very high level hotel with a very good room service. Hotel good kitchen, open air swimming pools but also a SPA which is nice to visit making a circuit of an hour which relax you perfectly. I recommend this hotl warmly if you are passing by Calpe.

just been to this hotel for a dance festival. the hotel is very nice, the staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. I was a little apprehensive before we went due to some of the comments on Tripadvisor about this venue, but I have to say that we experienced no adverse service at all. the food is self service buffet for both breakfast and dinner and we found a really good alternating choice of food, alright I admit it was catered for the Spanish and German tourists but the choice and quality was very good, we had excellent meals. the venue for the event is very good, a nice large ballroom able to accommodate the large number of people who attended. our only disappointment was the lack of organisation (the organisers were very nice people). milongas were organised but not held, others were held without notification, the floorcraft of the dancers was medioca and we observed very rude attitudes from a lot of the dancers (we were the only british couple dancing). Calpe is a lovely town, I would return there again and to this hotel because of what it has to offer. we found it to be a little out of the main town, but it was a nice quiet area well served with buses and supermarkets

Yes, I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. Lovely public areas, great pool area, excellent well appointed room with great bath room with lots of hot water from a powerful shower. Nice balcony but overlooking a quite noisy main road at the back. Don't know about the front side...there may be noise from the pool area? Friendly staff. There is a separate restaurant apart from the main dining room but I did not try this. The main dining room is large, quite noisy and buffet service both for breakfast and supper. There is a very large choice available for both meals. The breakfast is very good. The coffee is not great coming from a machine. Also for some reason coffee is not available in the dining room for the evening meal. The evening meal is a bit hit and miss. You may get lucky and get something excellent, then again maybe not. Having said that everything is acceptable but not four star in my opinion. The group I was with (it was a special tango dance weekend) was given no charge wine with the evening meal....not great quality I am afraid but as I said, 'no charge'. The dining room staff were almost too efficient, whipping away plates almost as one took the last mouth full. The hotel is three minutes from the beach.

Just returned from the Diamante in Calpe. First visit to the area which we loved. Large spacious sea view rooms with excellent showers. We are not lovers of hotel buffet dinners, however it was pretty decent with good choise of food and excellent, helpful staff. Also, they allow you to have lunch instead of dinner if required. Reception staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and we were allowed to keep our rooms until 6 pm as we had late flights home. Very well run hotel. The management should be proud of their staff.

The Hotel Diamente Beach is located close to the beach in Calpe. It is a large hotel with12 floors, There are three pools and a large area with sun beds and umbrellas. The rooms are a good size, with a large balcony. The rooms are clean. The air conditioning is on the noisy side but you get used to it. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet is good with plenty of choice. Being a large hotel it is very busy. We were on half board. The dinner buffet is crowded and is chaotic. If you don't get there early you could be waiting 30-40 minutes. The quality of the food is poor to the extent that of our 9 nights we ate out on 8 nights in local restaurants. To sum up, good hotel but don't go half board, you are wasting your money

Stayed at the Diamante twice this year (June and September) We noticed a big improvement in the evening meal and would like to say how well the restaurant staff coped with all the guests. The food was plentiful and replenished quickly, well done to the kitchen staff. We really enjoyed our stay excellent view from the room .I would recommend this hotel and resort highly, if you want a laid back and relaxing holiday.

One of the best holidays we have had in Spain, the hotel looked fantastic from the outside and didn’t change on the inside. All the staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble, huge range of choice of food in the buffet restaurant, and yes it did get busy, but always found something to start with and then waited for the rush to die down. Caught the local Land Train to the old part of Calpe and then walked back along the promenade to the Hotel that took about an hour, with some really great places to drink or have an ice cream along the way. Will be visiting again. Well done

On arrival, I requested to pay for upgrade room on top floor, !2th. where, despite a picture in their brochure showing a coffee machine, none was provided. After some lengthy discussions they (did me a favour) and supplied one but each day I had to remind them that it also needed capsules for which I was prepared to pay if necessary. My main issue was the self service restaurant. The only one open. It was probably the worst food I have ever experienced in a supposedly good hotel. All the meats provided seemed to have come from the cheapest cuts available and like the fish completely overcooked. It was also very crowded when another party arrived. The advertised spa came at a cost of 20 euros per day.No coffee was provided after the evening meal, indeed all the coffee machines were covered up to prevent usage by the patrons. The bar staff were surly and very unhelpful, they were unwilling to bring your very overpriced drinks outside to the pool area and were very slow in completing ones orders. I cannot fault the reception and room cleanliness. However room service (only once used) was very slow, 45 minutes for a sandwich. I cannot recommend this hotel to the more discerning traveller and feel that stronger and better management is needed to sort out the many problems that at present pertain.

Very clean, great rooms and good views from the glass balcony. Frustrating to have to use the lift all the time. If you are traveling with others request rooms on the same floor otherwise you seem to have to go down to go up. The lift does not come if you press to go up. Disabled room I saw had a poor view at the back of floor 1. Considering those are the folk likely to be using the balcony more this was disappointing. Probably the worst views in the hotel. It does seem to be a good place for wheelchair users there were many there and charging poins for scooters in the hall. Dinner was a bit of a scrum. Huge choice of different foods but quality variable when busy. I agree with the review which suggests an earlier start which would spread the load a little. Evenings we took to going down to the prom and settling at the excelent Tango Bar. Good for people watching. The hotel seemed somewhat sterile. Excellent beach which would be great for children.

We were on a cycling holiday run by Vuelta Turistica, Jurgen and Inga. Their shop is 100 metres from the hotel, so its the perfect location. The hotel is modern, clean and the rooms are well appointed with everything you need and good air con. Lovely balconies to sit out at the end of the day. There's a brilliant swimming pool area and most guests stay here rather than walk the 100 metres to the beach. I couldn't get the wi-fi to work, but that might have been my fault. You have to pay to use the computer in the lobby and I struggled to get it to work and failed to print out my boarding pass. We were on half board and the breakfast was OK but the evening meal was a buffet and was a bit scruffy, but there are lots of restaurants nearby and a nice little bar across the street, Hijos de Ruta next to a well equipped supermarket. A good hotel ,well located but the staff could be more helpful and the food could be better.
