My wife and I have just stayed here for 1 week in a superior sea view room on the 7th floor. The room was clean, well furnished, adequately proportioned, quiet and comfortable at all times during 7 days of temperatures above 30 degrees. The hotel caters for both business and tourist visitors and the absence of package tour holiday folders might indicate not many tour operators use this hotel. The local buses run from just across the road; the ho-ho bus is on the next corner; a small supermarket is less than 100 metres; sea front promenade and main car park are a few minutes level walk; nice eating places close by and the old town is within easy walking distance. The ambience, view and atmosphere in the bar/eating area on the 9th floor are a bit reminiscent of being on a cruise ship, and perfect for enjoying a cocktail whilst taking in the night time harbour scenery. There isn't a swimming pool and the number of rooms with balconies is limited. However the hotel has a free shuttle bus to a nearby beach (approx. 25 minute walk) and provides 2 sunbeds + 1 umbrella at no charge. Own towels required as the hotel does not allow their towels to be taken out. If hiring a car, parking is really only feasible on the public car park at a cost of 1 euro per hour. Midnight until 09.00 hrs is free and any over payment at night is carried over and contributes to the next morning. Hotels do not change foreign currency and the only facilities for this are ATM's, banks and the post office (form filling and passport required) We didn't use the restaurant because we prefer to eat out and therefore could not comment on the food other than to say a 3 course meal for 30 euros per person is on par with other eating places. The buffet choice at breakfast was good and more along continental lines.
Me and my husband spent the first wedding night there. The hotel is rated 4* but it lacks of 4* services. Not even a card to say "congratulations for your wedding day" was left in the room, that would have been a nice touch. Staff seemed a bit miserable at the reception desk and also confused on which room we were meant to take. The room was clean, however no tea facilities were provided and neither sleepers and branded towels. You can defiantly find better hotels in Alghero.
We stayed two nights, the room was excellent & good value. The rooftop bar ( also where breakfast is served) is a real delight with superb views across the bay. Parking is difficult in Alghero so take advantage of the 10 euros per night parking which is about 500 metres from the hotel / 5 mins walk. You can use for free the facilities at a private beach ( loungers/ umbrellas) albeit 20 mins walk away ( or twice a day shuttle bus). Handy for Alghero old town which is great to visit at night.
Had two nights bed and breakfast at this establishment. Soundproofing could do with a little attention. Breakfast was fairly basic. Nice views from most rooms and especially from the bar on the 9th floor.
Called at the hotel to use the Sky Bar for drinks and nibbles. The staff were pleasant and efficient but the main selling point is the fantastic views you have over the old town and harbour, enhanced by a setting sun.
One of the larger hotels in the town of Alghero situated with in meters of the marina and the old town. The room are spacious, clean and tidy, but the floors are lethal when wet. Arrive too late for breakfast and you are left with the scraps and we didn't get to try the restaurant as it was booked for a private party.
This hotel is well placed near the sea front and visible from almost everywhere. The rooms are big and comfortable and even have a tea and coffee making facility.unusual for Italy. Our room on the fifth floor had excellent sea views, the old town and the park. There are many restaurants around this hotel and as it is so close to the sea front there are many choose from. Breakfast was satisfactory and had scrambled egg. The breakfast room is on the top floor with spectacular views. We had a meal at the hotel and this was good. Wifi was good and free. One could walk easily to the old town which was really worth visiting.
A very comfortable hotel in an excellent location. It is quite near the waterfront/marina and the old town. It has some rooms with excellent views of the harbour but you would need to be in one of the rooms on the 7th or 8th floor. There is a wonderful rooftop bar to take in the views while having drinks.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. It's near to the old town and marina, but also only a short walk from the beach. We stayed for 1 week in a junior suite on the 8th floor which was a very spacious room with a wonderful view of the sea and the old town. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Blau Skybar on the 9th floor is great for an early evening pre-dinner drink. The staff are so friendly and the views from the bar are fabulous. Breakfast is good, with a good choice and daily specials, and is served in the bar on the 9th floor. Would definitely stay again in the future.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. It has excellent views of the harbour and old city and we had theses views from our room on 7th floor as well as from the restaurant every morning on the 9th floor for breakfast. It is easy walking distance to the old city and the all the shops and restaurants as well as the harbour. Also the road opposite the hotel is where all the buses depart from so is very convenient. It is so easy to get the bus from the airport to the hotel and it is under 2 euros. The hotel was very clean and quiet and we are really looking forward to returning. It is difficult to see why they don't have 5* as we couldn't fault it.
