We thought we would try something new and staying at an apartment instead of a hotel. We were wanting to have a kitchen and be able to be flexible with preparing meals instead of going out every single day.We were dreading about the uphill- wasn't as ideal- but managed. Check in only at 4:30pm which they were kind enough to get us in sooner, which was great. But when we got to our apartment and wanted to have a nice meal- our stove didnt work and when the technician came- he said he was there to fix the freezer door lock and didnt know about the stove and would see when he had time- which could have been a couple of minutes or hours- he couldnt say..😏They ended up having to replace the slap entirely- took about 2 hours and a half and when he left- we tried it again and still didnt work so he had to look at it again- we decided to step out though because we were fed up. In order to access the pool you need to get a card for 1€ deposit to access it- however it wasnt really working for all- so we were constantly having to open for like 20 people- ridiculous! At our stay we wanted to play tennis- however it didnt give clear instructions how to get in the actual court and since we were only allowed to play for 1 hour( despite the day being completely cleared) we had lost 10minutes. The balls were also a little aged so that was a shame since you have to rent them for 2.50€. The shower didnt really draining properly so not sure when was the last time there was a proper cleaning since it mentions on their website "daily cleaning" and they came to us once- unannounced at a strange time- like at 5pm. The balcony was great, sunny and nice and idea that there was a clothes rack. The shop was quite pricey I must say and offered nothing for short term stay like washing powder/gel for a few washes. They had mentioned that wifi was only at the reception but upon request and with 35€ deposit and 5€ a day- you could get wifi in your apartment. However, they were all out and for some reason asked my husband for a 40€ deposit-strange. Positive side that we had plenty of towels and good warm water however the pressure coming out of for example the kitchen- it kept on turnning off when it reached a certain angle of the handle and temperature and if opened slightly too much it would spray out agressively. The pans and pots were horrible- no proper antistick layer- so when you would try to simple fry an egg- let's just say you got a scrambled egg- unwillingly.😉 Good airconditioning despite the noise and the beds were a little soft.Washing machine programmes were way too long- would have been nice if they had programmes with like 20min or at most 45minutes.Checking out was at 10am- not an ideal time- and if you wanted to stow way your stuff so you could go away to enjoy the reamining time you had-all they could do is put it in a corner infront of pigeon holes of the reception- if you were the first ones- like is- it was a diaster to try and recover your luggage.😓 Overall, it was an okay stay- could have been better though. Not sure really if worth 125€ a night. Probably a place more for locals than tourists. Just thought I would share this in the case of doubts😉
This was our second visit to Vitasol Park, having previously stayed in summer 2016 and had a great time. It was far busier this time round, though it was good to see the pool bar had finally opened and they seemed a bit more tolerant of allowing kids to have inflatable toys in the pool. There are lots of reasons to like this place including: Very spacious, clean, two bed apartment Very well kept landscaped gardens Nice pool area and bar (though we ate there one night and it was deserted!) Other things that were not so good: Only toilet rolls provided in apartments - no soap, basic cleaning materials or even a kettle (we were provide with one on request, but it was broken!) Poor soundproofing. We requested a quiet apartment but were kept awake well into the early hours by teenagers next door scraping furniture around. Dogs are also permitted and the howling and barking from other apartments, again very late at night was definitely a problem. No free wifi It's also worth mentioning that the complex is at the top of a fairly steep hill around 10 minutes walk from the Marina, and 20 minutes from the town and beach - not a problem for us as we had a car. I'm not sure whether we would go back a third time - the noise problem was quite an issue.
This complex has very nice spacious apts and a great swimming pool. It is a 10 min walk to the Marina where there are bars and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk to town. The apts have kitchens, air conditioning and separate bedrooms. I would recommend BUT I booked one of the four bedroom apartments for my family in August 2016 for a holiday in August 2017. The booking was accepted, the deposit was taken and I had two confirmation emails. I contacted the hotel about 3 times over the year to confirm a couple of things and each time they confirmed back that I had a T4 apt. I even had a reminder email from them 2 days before I travelled that we had a T4 apt booked and that they were looking forward to seeing me. Imagine my disappointment to arrive at the complex to be told that they had double booked the room and that they were to give my family 2 x 2bedroom apts! Very nice rooms but not what I had booked. The most frustrating part of this is that they had 1 year and four contact emails to explain the mix up with me. In the interests of fairness the manager did kindly pay for us all to go on a trip, I would rather have had what I booked. One point to note is that the complex is at the top of a very steep hill.
Stayed here for 11 nights in August 2017, massive, clean apartment (we had a corner apartment which is bigger than standard) however the standard 2 bedroom apartments are very big aswell. kitchen well equipped, with full size fridge and freezer, toaster, cooker/oven and also washing machine. My sisters apartment did have some issues with ants but told reception and they did keep coming out to treat the problem. there are quite a few steps to pool and also a fairly steep hill to walk down to harbour. however my 72 year old mum managed to walk it every evening as it does get breezy in the evening (take a cardigan). Supermarket is about 8 minute walk and about 4 euros back in a taxi, ask at checkout and they will order one for you. harbour is about 8 mins slow walk and beach about 15 minutes. lovely place will be back!!!
Stayed here for a week check in was at 4.00 pm but arrived at 330 but emailed before hand to say this but when we arrived we were informed that apartment would not be ready for another hour by a very rude member of staff named tatiane apartment was clean and spacious and pool area was nice we again went to reception to ask for information about water parks but the same member of staff was not at all helpful so has to go else where for information.very steep hill up to apartments not good for families with kids in buggies.Towards the end of the week as we past reception we saw a different member of staff working so decided to go in and ask about a few things and was very pleased with the girl as she was so polite and helpful as receptionists should be if this girl was on the day of our check in we would have felt more welcomed.
Spacious apartment and balcony, lovely views over swimming pool and tennis courts. Well equipped kitchen, air conditioning in all rooms. 10 min walk down a hill towards the marina and old town. Fantastic family holiday
We booked VitaSol Park not realising its location in relation to Lagos. It's a bit of a walk, But not terrible. The worst bit is the hill on the home straight! The apartment is generally good with Air Conditioning. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed in the bedroom wasn't the most comfortable. Both myself & my partner had back ache the next morning. Also the pillows for the bed were half the size of most standard pillows which wasn't a major issue. But could easily be improved. The shower in the bathroom needed a new head as someone had obviously previously dropped it. Which causes water to literally spray everywhere! Also on our return home we didn't get a deposit back for the pool access cards as the reception was closed. So I would recommend returning them in the day before you leave or the day previous. With some improvements this holiday apartment could be up there with the best. All I can say is a weeks stay was reasonably priced, So we aren't too bitter about the situation.
The accomodation at Vitasol Park was excellent. Really spacious & clean. A very quiet place restful & the staff were courteous & helpful. It was only a short 10 minute walk to the marina & an extra 10 to the town centre. The beaches are so clean & the sand lovely. It was our second trip to the same resort & the same accomodation. We will be back.
We stayed here three nights with our little boys in a two bedroom apartment. The balcony was awesome and the pool was nice (but a bit of a walk from where our apartment was located). Besides toilet paper, the apartments came with NOTHING (soap, dish sponge, etc.). There is a grocery store about three minutes away by car. There is a beach nearby which we walked to once but decided (after walking back up the hill) to drive to instead (parking is free and easy). We drove into the old town often and found it convenient as well. Not the best place, but quite satisfactory for the price.
We stayed in an apartment for 8 people, but we only had 7 people. Honestly have no idea where an 8th person would have even slept. There was dried blood on one of our comforters and on the shower curtain. Thankfully they replaced the comforter after we told them. One of the showers had a SUPER slow drain and honestly would have overflowed if we wouldn't have turned off the water in between washing the shampoo and soap out. The hot water also ran out super fast, especially in the late evening. There was no free wi-fi. The place was semi-clean. The curtain in the kitchen was stained with who knows what and the floors made your feet black. Also, do not expect hand soap to be found anywhere in the apartment. The market next to the reception desk was convenient though. Thankfully we were only there for 2 days and we spent most of our time at the beach or out and about.
