This was one of the best stays we have ever had. Our suite was so well-designed - modern, clean and very elegant. The staff were incredibly friendly. The full gym is awesome for staying in shape while you're away. The pool is fabulous. My fiancé and I had such a wonderful romantic stay here. It's also a short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen, and super-charming downtown Lagos. We so highly recommend. Thank you Aqualuz!
I stayed with my wife and 1year old in a 1 bed apartment with pool view. the overall apartment was generously sized with a large living area. It was equipped with a fridge, microwave and cooker, TV, kitchen table and chairs and sofa with pull out bed. we had requested a cot which was provided free of charge. the apartment was clean and serviced daily. I'm glad we went for the pool view and it was worth paying the extra bit. The hotel has 2 large pools with ample deck chairs. the pool area is clean and well maintained. We had breakfast and lunch a couple of times and cant fault the food. it was simple and good value for money. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived late and there is a very handy store at reception which sells essentials, bread, cheese water etc. we stayed mid-may and the spa, leisure centre and roof top solarium were not open. I think we arrived just ahead of the busy season. There are 2 supermarkets within a 6 minute walk. the closest 1 is small but has most food items. there are 2 pizza take aways within 7mins walk. the town is approx. 13. walk. the beach is about the same distance. the 1 slight problem is that the hotel is at a high point in the town and the walk back from the town and beach can be difficult with a buggy. overall, we were delighted with the hotel and would have no problem recommending it.
We stayed at the Aqualuz for 10 nights and could not fault a single thing. We had a premium studio, it was spacious, modern, clean & had a pool view balcony. The hotel was situated just 10 minutes from the center of Lagos. There was a shop just outside the hotel so was easy to get things we needed. The staff were very friendly & proffesional, as we had a late flight on the last night & the hotel was fully booked so we couldn't keep the room, we were given towels to use at the pool & again to use the showers in the gym. Would 100% come back.
We booked this hotel with friends as they have stayed here a couple of times previously, having relatives that live in Lagos. Bar and restaurant staff were fantastic! Clean and well maintained. Although we were in the older apartments, which was a little disappointing as our friends had raved about how fantastic the newer ones were! We did watch as people began to put towels on the sun beds very early!! But after a couple of days complaining the staff kept an eye on those towels that had been there for quite sometime and removed them. I did hav a couple of massages at the hotel spa, which were excellent. Overall as two families with children we found the hotel to be of excellent value. Our friends are returning again this year and we will be in the future. We didn't use the airport transfer as we hired cars. We did have to pay for car parking spaces.
We have just returned from a lovely holiday staying here. The hotel is really well equipped and feels clean and fresh. The staff are helpful and friendly. Enjoyed breakfast on our balcony each morning and watched the swifts do their morning flights. Lagos is a lovely town which we have visited before and it was great to be back.
We picked this accommodation for a family holiday and we're really pleased with every aspect. Pool area was amazing, really comfortable sun beds and generally a very nice, clean area. We went for the two bedroom premium apartment which was huge with really modern decor, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sofa bed, very spacious kitchen we couldn't have asked for more. Other family members stayed here also in an apartment for 2 which was nice also but definitely older. In general would definitely recommend. About a 10 min walk from a very pretty town with lots of choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
Stayed at Aqualuz for a second time, the first being last year. Loved this place. Immaculately clean hotel with relaxed atmosphere. Small kitchenette in apartment if self catering or nice snack bar serving breakfast and lunch. Change of towels every day and bedding changed very frequently. Maid service excellent. Two pools, one large and one children's. Also a well equipped fitness centre and indoor pool on site. Within walking distance of the lovely town of Lagos, albeit uphill walking back. Hotel car park charged at 4.20 euros per day. Hope to return next year 😊
My wife and I stayed in Aqualuz hotel in February this year, and were pleasently surprised to say the least. Aqualuz is really well kept with lovely grounds and beautiful big rooms, with a seperate bedroom and bathroom, kitchen consists of cooker hob, fridge, sink and utensils, this was not a problem for us as we ate out during the day only making something light to eat at night. Our rooms were cleaned every second day and beds were made every day, the cleaners were very nice people and made conversation with us while cleaning. Staff on reception were also very helpful giving us directions to local bars and eating places within a short distance from hotel. We had breakfast a few times in hotel dining area which was good wnd not too pricey. We have stayed in this area of Lagos before, the Vilabranca is about 500 metres from Aqualuz, so we know our way around there are two large beaches at either end of the town the furthest being about a 25 min walk, there are also a few smaller beaches in towards the town centre all are worth visiting. Lagos has lots of good to great restaurants one or two are a little pricey but, you get what you pay for staff in all are very nice, 5ou must try the grilled sardines or another local delicacy the custard tartlet. There is a beautiful walk along the marina which also has some fine restaurants and bars, shops are plentiful ranging from the small holiday items to some serious pottery and jewellery. As I said already we visited in February and it was like a fresh Spring day here in Ireland weather wise, we were walking around in shorts and the locals were in coats and trousers, a bit breezy but not too cold. Can't wait to win enough on lotto to buy a small house there. The journey from airport to Lagos can be lengthy especially if dropping off people on the way there but, it is worth it. Go and enjoy yourselves. James Coyle news at ten Derry.😍😍😅
We recently stayed at the AquaLuz Hotel in Lagos, and had a fantastic week away. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. Our apartment was nice, clean and had everything that we needed to be self catering for the week (we have two young children). We had a microwave, cooking stove and Kettle - which was useful. We used the indoor swimming pool at the Solinca Health Club (part of the hotel) daily, which was nice, but sadly the children's pool was not open during our stay. You do need a swimming hat to use the pool, but these are provided by the health club. We parked our car in the hotel car park for the duration of the stay, and paid 4.20 euros a day to do so - which we thought was reasonable. The hotel is located close to the town, and the beach. All in all, we had a great holiday, and would stay at the AquaLuz again.
We spent 3 nights here with 2 young children in a 1bed pool facing apartment,,have to say i would return... The apartment was smaller than expected with a galley kitchen in hallway between living area and bedroom but it was so clean and modern, lovely to sit out on balcony and have breakfast in sunshine!! The facilities are excellent, children loved the pools as it was early May it was soo quiet. I cant comment on food as we ate out and found the reception staff lovely.
