Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel.I believe it is 26 storey high. and my wife and I had a one bedroom apartment on the 21st floor room 2101 which is on the side but had two balconies one on the living room with seaview looking towards Alvor and bedroom balcony looking out the back with town and mountain range in the distance. The apartment looked like it had a refurb, very clean.Kitchen with electric cooker and 4x hot plates.Kettle, toaster, microwave, plates,pots/pans etc.Quite well sorted for anyone who wants selfcatering. The bedroom had a double bed and chest of drawers and bedside table with table lamps. Tv in living room with ITV and BBC and Sky news.Safe in room but a fee is payable.Plenty of coathangers in wardrobes. Bathroom in good condition with bath/shower,toilet,beday,elect socket next to wall mirror. Do not know about hairdryer because we brought out own.Room cleaned and towels changed regular. Towels are not provided for the outside swimming pool which is accessed via security gate using a card you get from reception for 10 euro refundable deposit.Plenty of padded sunbeds around the clean well kept pool. The location of this hotel is a stone throw to beaches. When heading towards beach on the left is a supermarket and left around the corner there is a Spar supermarket with another bigger one further down the road with plenty of restaurants and bars a minutes walk away.We had no issues with our stay and found Gemma on reception and the other members of staff very helpful regards travel and places of interest etc. Would stay at this hotel again if we come back to Praia da Rocha.
From the very excellent warm reception we had on arrival it just got better it was a joy to stay here hassle free I had reservations about staying in a high rise block but would have no hesitation on going back here we had been upgraded to a one bedroom apartment from a studio which was very spacious and we would book one of these next time we go there was two balconies all our dealings with staff was excellent not that we needed many as it was run very efficiently room service spot on the location is good as well just a few steps up a small hill and you was on the sea front leading down to the bars and restaurants ATM there is also a very good supermarket just at the top of the hill good for if you want to eat in
One bedroomed apt, basic enough. Empty press plumbed for washing machine, why no washing machine? Loved the idea of access card only to pool, gave you great security. Plenty of space & sunbeds around pool but beach far nicer, & so close. Staff at reception during day abs lovely, but omg! Come evening this little whippersnapper came on duty & he was a nightmare! Loved to make life awkward. We came in one evening & cleaners had been in, taken used towels but hadn't replaced them. I asked him for fresh towels & let's just say it would have been easier get a heart or liver transplant. Left a very bad taste in mouth as basically it was cleaners mistake, not ours. I would have given this place a good rating but you're on holiday, you're supposed to be relaxing, & this guy is like a red rag to a bull. Too aggressive & argumentative to be in customer service. Would definitely not be in my employ. For that reason, I could not recommend these apartments to anybody
Once again we stayed at Apartamenos Jardins da Rocha our favourite hotel in Praia da Rocha. Excellent accommodation spotlessly clean very helpful staff. We look forward to returning next year. The location is excellent near all restaurants, bars and beaches. What more can you ask for.
Stayed 12nights and had emailed hotel asking for sea view and washer in room if possible. Both of these were given. Hotel very clean and big studio room. Beautiful views and pool area cleaned every day. Always sun beds available no matter what time of day. Location great with beautiful beaches couple minutes walk away and bars and restaurants few minutes walk too. Would use hotel again and never had long to wait for lifts. At the most 3-4 minutes. Wi-fi cheap daily rate and worked well in room.
Booked this hotel for an 8 night stay in January specially requesting a high level room only to be allocated a room on the 3rd floor on arrival. We asked if we could change at some point to a room with a sea view to be told this wasn't possible and no gaurantee is given. This was particularly disappointing as we spoke to other guests during our stay who were there for shorter stays, not booked as far in advance and did not specify bigh level rooms but were raving about the sea view The hotel is dated but the rooms are large however the beds are small and the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in. The pillows are also small and lumpy. This seems to be a recurring issue if you look other reviews The room had a kitchen and is obviously aimed at self catering however when we asked at reception for 2 wine glasses the man said there are non thats it Wifi is free in the reception area but extra in the rooms On the plus side the hotel is in great location and has free parking and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the strip The hotel has a pool but no pool side bar.
We had trouble deciding how many stars to rate this apartment / hotel since the facility itself is really only a 3 star but in our view, the price and outstanding location make it a 4 star property. To be specific: The Pluses: . Large rooms . Air conditioning works well . Literally 200 meters from the beach, shops, restaurants . Secure parking right next door at no cost . Kitchen appliances worked well and we even had a laundry machine! The Less Positives . Rooms have minimal decor and beds are hard . Cost for wifi is 1.50 per day - no big issue but when was the last time that you had to pay? . No room cleaning on Thurs and Sunday
You get what you pay for here, the apartment we were given was HUGE and very clean. The hotel is in the perfect location so it makes a great base for exploring. The pool area is also fantastic. There are a couple of downsides, the bed in the main bedroom was AWFUL - I mean absolutely awful. The mattress was rock hard, and the legs on the bed wobbled so you had to be very careful just to even sit on the bed! We are both 26 and can normally sleep well anywhere, however we both refused to sleep on this bed after one night and a very sore back! We ended up pulling out the sofa bed which was slightly better but still not fantastic! Secondly, if you wanted a shower between 6pm-8pm, there was no hot water. We assume it's prime time for showers in the block however that doesn't excuse leaving guests without hot water. We had to boil the kettle every night. All in all we had a nice stay here for a short period of time, however we will not be returning to these apartments on our next trip to the area.
Very helpful staff who immediately gave us a family friendly room upgrade which was much appreciated...location is perfect as it is right beside the beach, the restaurants and a very handy shop...only thing wrong was the very small elevators but we hope to come back with the family again next year
The view is amazing, we were on the 16th floor! It's near everything, you need about 2 minutes to go to the beach and there's a bakery in front of the building. The reception is very helpfull, they speak clear english an help you with everything. The apartements are clean, the only problem is that you hear the neighbours. The only problem were the transfer to the airport: you need about 1 hour to drive from the apartement to the airport so we booked a shuttle from the hotel (for 59€) at 7.00 to be there at 8.00 (boarding at 8.40), the shuttle was there at 7.20 so we were in hurry to take our flight. It's better to take the shuttle 30 minutes before when you want to be there early.
