This place is very relaxing. If you are going to visit alexandria, this is a place to stopover at night. It is a bit outside the city, but this is a must visit place. Nice hotel, at bare minimum price for a resort like this. This also has a private beach, which adds up to the the flavour. Sea waves are very huge and unblocked, so you can enjoy the sea as well.
The hotel is very nice as a beach resort but the service is very bad and week educated staff, you need to go to the reception to take a coupon to be able to collect a beach towel, the management respond for your request is very week and the breakfast have no clue about hospitality service, the place is old hotel and not cleaned well because you might see some ants in your room passing by saying hi to you and your family on daily basis
Overall the hotel is about a 4.5. Downside - hotel is 1 hour away from downtown Alexandria, so if you are looking to stay close to the city, this isn't the hotel to stay out. Also there were chunks of chipped painting on the outside of the hotel. I was a little bit discourage at first, but inside is nice, clean and decent. Some of the beach stuff could be updated, but it is not bad. If you are looking for night activity or things to do at night, you are remote from everything. Nothing is near. A little secluded, so watch out for signs. Wifi is pretty much nonexistent. I think the only place that you could get wifi was in the hotel lobby, but even then there were problems connecting to it. So if you need to be connected to the world, using the internet, this is not the hotel. However, getting cell phone serve was great. I was able to do my normal media browsing and talk on the phone. Upside - It is right on the Mediterranean. If you get one of the sea view rooms, you can literally walk outside to the pool area and then straight to the beach. Rooms are clean and decent. Staff is nice. Breakfast was great. There are various pools and you can get decent rooms with a sea view. Property is big, so when they offer to take you to your room, say "Yes." You do feel like you have privacy. It is quiet and safe - away from the chaos. Have I mentioned the amazing Mediterranean view? I spent one night at the hotel with a friend and her 2 kids. Thankfully they had adjoining rooms (we didn't even ask and I booked the room through Expedia). The kids (12 & 13) LOVED it. They went from the ocean to the pool, running around. We relaxed and took it easy. Enjoyed the ocean and the sunset after a day of site seeing in Alex.
I went there yesterday the hotel is good but not great it deserve only 4 stars . Rooms are good furnished . It has 2 clean pools . The beach is great sea is sandy but there is some jelly fish . Service is not good .food is good but not great .
Lovely beach, friendly staff. Rooms outdated. Could do with a face lift. Breakfast room too crowded. Close to Alexandria. Value for money though. There is an onsite pharmacy which is always a bonus. The weather towards the end of Aug was amazing.
Hotel was very good in beach and staff but rooms needing improvement and food quality was low Pools was good but if you will take room pool view donnot care about people near to your room because of pools Staff was friendly and special thanks for mr/ wissam
Defiantly can't classify it as 5* hotel , the place is old , rooms are old and not really maintained , we stayed there for 1 night escaping from the city , view is amazing , plenty of swimming pools and one kids pool , nice beach even if there was jelly fish in the water but again that they can't control .... the place is an average , can be better with some renovation for example the air condition in the room generates more noise than air :))) . Just my 2 cents that hopefully will help to assist other travelers Regards Ahmed H. Karkar
I visited the hotel September 2016, the sea-view room was very nice and clean. The service was very good and the food was great. There was jelly fish in the sea at that time but we enjoyed the swimming pool.
It's a good hotel but not great. The hotel's accommodation is very expensive for the value you take. First day the breakfast was a disaster. First, we didn't find any place to sit so they opened an extra restaurant. Second, when we went to the other restaurant we also didn't find a place to sit although some managers were having breakfast on the tables. This is the first time to see this in a hotel and they didn't even bother to leave the tables for the guests although most of us are families with kids. To be honest the dinner was great and good variety of food. The rooms are clean but not that great. The best in the hotel are the staff especially Abdo and Mahmoud from the beach bar and Mohamed the beach boy. The view is the best and it has the most clear sea I have ever seen. For sure I will visit again next year :)
This is my third visit to the hotel and still one of my favorite spots in north coast. Hotel is very well located at the beginning of north coast which makes it perfect for short stays and week ends, nice beach, good staff and very good food quality too. As a repeater guest, I have few points that I wish the management takes into consideration: - Hotel is still suffering from a poor lighting system which really needs to be improved (check my last year review). - Although hotel clearly states that reservation of sun shades on the beach is not allowed, one of the beach staff (wearing red) offered to do so for us which I did not accept but of course other guest would agree and pay to the guy especially that staff reserve it since early morning while guest come to the beach in the afternoon!! - The evening show presented by the animation team was sometimes very weird and not up to the standard of a five or 04 stars hotel, one day they presented a fire show consisting of a man playing with fire, burning his body with it and getting it from his mouth, like what we call it in Arabic (7awi), this was not nice at all, pollution & gaz was all over the place, not only on the terrace but you could still smell gaz till beach chalets. it is very unsafe to present such show especially with kids all around, in addition, any fatal mistake could occur because of fire and it would be a disaster in the hotel. !!! The other day the show was about broken glasses , the animation guy was walking on it , sleeping on it !!!!! etc again 7awi style..... in my opinion very silly shows not be presented in a respectable hotel like yours.... I still recommend the hotel to everybody & will definitely come back....
