Very pleased overall. Had a few minor hiccups with some of the hotel's facilities. Vending machine's receptacle for dollar bills was broken, ironing board had a finicky release button for folding the legs up.

Very clean, great breakfast, convenient to dc. Quiet, great bed and water pressure. Staff outstanding

Very satisfied. One thing about the wifi - was advertised as free but they upsell $5 for more bandwidth. As I needed to work remotely at the hotel and needed fast wifi, was disappointed that they did not specify this before I reserved. Aside from this, was a very good stay.

We had a wonderful experience. The warmth and friendliness of every staff member made our stay an amazing one, The room was very clean and breakfast was very good. We really appreciated the free shuttle service provided by the hotel.

This was a nice hotel that was within walking distance of several restaurants like Longhorn & Fridays. There was also a Target up the street. The hotel exterior was pretty basic, but the rooms were very nice and comfortable. My mattress was super comfy and the bath was modern and clean. The complimentary breakfast and round the clock coffee bar with cookies (sometimes freshly made) were both appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful. For the rate of only $109, I really could not complain and I stayed for 3 nights. BTW, there was plenty of free parking AND they provide a FREE shuttle to another restaurant area so you don't have to worry about drinking or parking :)

The staff couldn't be kinder, caring, and welcoming. Very comfortable the entire stay. Loved the 24 hour coffee bar! The breakfast was adequate- the waffles were a big hit with other people, bacon or sausage each morning, toast or bagels with cream cheese, jelly, and butter, and oatmeal. We eat lighter than that and only ate the fruit, eggs, and yogurt.

Breakfast was excellent in taste and variety. Located near enough to D.C. for meetings and far enough away to provide a comfortable escape at the end of the day.

Everything was excellent...room, staff, breakfast...!!!

Clean, comfortable, outstanding employees. Never had a maid ask about our comfort at any hotel ever!!!. The breakfast staff were constantly checking food and supplies. Will return when in the area.

Overall, it was a nice stay. I found the mattress uncomfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great!

Good hot breakfast and convenient to DC if you have a car.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and good hot breakfast. Down side was that it is over 3 miles away from Metro. Yes, they have a shuttle service but they only give out shuttle passes 30 minutes before you want to leave. Very stressful making sure we could get a family of 5 on a bus that holds 10. Next time I'll stay in hotel walking distance to Metro. Also, when we checked in we were given a room that was already occupied. Me, my husband and 3 kids walked in on the couple that was already checked in to that room....not happy!

We stayed Saturday night at this place while visiting DC. This is my fifth time visiting DC and the second time staying outside the city. Comparing to Crystal City, Alexandria is a little bit further but same convenient if you drive. At least I enjoyed free parking, free breakfast, free wifi and very reasonable hotel price. The staff we met were all nice and professional. The room is standard but with fridge and microwave to use and very clean. I only wish there were two queen size beds instead two doubles. The complementary cookie and coffee in the lobby is very nice. Hot breakfast also exceeded my expectation. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. The only annoying thing was that on Sunday morning about 8:30 a group of guests talked loudly in the hallway and waked me up. They knocked doors, greeted to friends and the housekeeper. They sounded all polite but very annoying. Of course this would happen anywhere. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Suited our needs perfectly--close to my grandkids home, very comfortable, hot breakfast, helpful staff.

EVRYONE connected with this inn was super. They were helpful and attentive. Having a shuttle to and from the Metro every half hour was a real plus.

Everyting was good but the beds are not comfortable

This was our first visit to the DC area and this hotel helped make everything wonderful!! Great breakfast every morning!! And a different variety every day. Free snacks available all day!! They even had breakfast bags packed with granola bars, fruit, etc if you were in a hurry!! Would definitely recommend this hotel. No metro close, but they do offer a shuttle service. You can also drive to a mall nearby and park for 4.00 per day, park free on the weekend.

Hampton Inn Alexandria is a good hotel with comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. However, it has no shuttle service and is over 4 miles from the nearest Metro stop (King Street). This hotel will only work if you have a vehicle, you cannot access public transportation or restaurants. The website states it is accessible to Metro but this is false - there is no shuttle service to Metro or either airport. Recommend stay at hotel with shuttle service instead.

This hotel was a business person's dream -- fitness center with state of the art equipment and technology, coffee available 24 hours, a small "office" with copier, fax, printer, and 2 PC's, a staff mindful of a business person's time, closeness to a diversity of restaurants, and hotel breakfast to-go bags. It was easy to get in and out of the parking lot. I can't think of anything I would change -- if you can replicate this service and setting, do it.
