Maybe it is me that were tired and arriving late....but when I arrived the room were cold, and the room I got was not of the best standard. That I could understand since the room was rather un-expensive (about 900 NOK), but still I have over 30 nights at Choice hotels. The staff were very kind, and quick. The breakfast was OK, and there were a short distance from the hotel, to the place I should visit the day after. The TV-signal was poor, and the Wi-Fi connection not to good. Free coffee and tee is a plus. Sorry about this, but it is the truth....for me, it is important to use internet while at work.
From outside the hotel doesn't seem to have changed much since my last stay in 2007. My room was huge, bigger than your typical European hotel. It looked like it used to be a meeting room and the bathroom looked new. Breakfast started at 5am and it was very basic which was ok since I was on my way offshore. All in all it was a comfortable stay in downtown.
Hotel was clean and staff very helpful, free coffee and tea in the main area as well as chilled water. Room was clean and of a good size for a single room, shower and toilet were spotless and towels fresh and clean. No toiletries but these can be purchased from reception. Free wifi in all areas. Breakfast was of a good standard. Only complaint was noise level of the surrounding pubs and bars when people were leaving.
Staid here a few nights ago, in connection with work. I'm sorry to say that this was a terrible experience. Had to move room 3 times. If you do have to stay here, try to avoid rooms with wall to wall carpets, as they give off bad smell. The room I finally got, had initially a temperature around 35 deg C, but at least it was possible to turn of the radiator, hence getting close to normal temperature after a few hours. Other things was not up to standard as well, but I cannot mention everything here.
I received a very small room. There is no restaurant and the breakfast is better at the gas station. This was more like a motel or a bed and (close to) breakfast standard. I will not recommend this hotel, even for one night.
More like "good" than average. This is a comfortable hotel. Nothing fancy but reliable and decent for Norway. Have been here a few times and happy each time. The rooms on the water side have great views. Parking is limited and sometimes you need to find a park on the street. That's annoying. Staff are good. Breakfast typical basic Norwegian style.
Title says it all. Very nice staff. We stayed here because the other hotels in Kristiansund were all booked. (Very nice town, but hotels tend to be more busy than most because of the combination of tourists and off-shore oil business.) The room was small (granted, it was the last available room) and over-priced. The hotel a bit rundown and the breakfast not up to par. Wifi only available in lobby.
The Hotel is located in walking distance to downtown which actually makes it quite interesting! My Company booked the Hotel for me and after 20hour traveling I arrived earlier than expected, so I asked the female Receptionist if I could check in early, just before 10.00am? I was told that the early check in will cost me 250 NOK which I agreed too instead waiting 5 hour in the lobby after 20 hours of traveling. The Hotel does definitely not look over or even fully booked!!!!!! I will check out tomorrow at 7.30am latest this makes it not even a 24hr stay but still I have to pay extra fee for a room which is already paid by my company. When I asked if I could have a breakfast included for this additional fee it was of course declined! Make your own thoughts about a Hotel with great obligingness for long distance traveller's! The room is small but clean. I won't spend any more money for food in this Hotel but I will try the Breakfast tomorrow morning.
Quite surprised when I walked inside. The outside looks quite shabby, but the reception area is very nice. The room was quite small, but enough for one person for one night, especially since I arrived just before midnight and was due to leave early next morning. Breakfast was basic, but very good. Very good WiFi-connection in the room. Unfortunataly bad view from my room.
I got a room with a view to die for accross the bay.Very comfortable and very central....will be there again. The staff were excellent and friendly...room nice and cosy...oh and have I mentioned the view....
