Our closed captioning on the TV NEVER turned off. Even the front desk attendant could not turn it off. Then we tried to figure out how it got turned on??!! Better to replace the TV. I hope so because we're going back next weekend!

Great choice in Alamosa - why pay more at a characterless chain if you get better service in a quiet locally-owned place?

This is a very old motel. You can tell there is mold under the floor. Chairs in room were stained. Bed and bathroom were clean, but this place would need some major renovation. Internet didn't work (due to weather apparently). Liked that we could park right in front of our door.

Good room at an excellent rate. Can't beat it. Comfortable night on the way to hunt in the mountains

I wasn't aware that the check-in time was 8pm, but the staff was very easy to work with. The room had a warm feeling to it, with a bunch of small things to show attention to detail and comfort, including: a blanket in the TV stand, if you got cold watching TV, a nice sitting area with a table in the front room, well-folded towels, and some water in the fridge. No, this isn't a 5-star hotel, but it still felt like home - like you were staying at a cabin, or the likes. I definitely plan on staying here again, if I ever find myself down in that part of Colorado.
