Clean. Friendly staff almost family. Good breakfast. Restaurant down the road and extremely good with great owners.

Love to stay at this property has an awesome sightseeing. Breakfast is hot and delicious. Very friendly staff and accommodating. Recommended for couples, adult families and/or traveling solo.

I had a good time there. I will stay again if I has to!

Well I understand that double bed means two beds in one roo, not one big bed. They charge extra because they will get another bed in a room. I think the hotel is not clear with what the really offer.

Except that it is super cold up in the mountain at this season of the year and that the walls are paper so you hear everything from outside, there is a nice view from up there.

All i can say is that there is a nice view from the mountain to the city ;-)

Nice view, relax, good staff, for the price its the best

The best is the view, it is unforgettable. It is a little hard to find if you don't have gps. Good breakfast and service . Swimming pool is too small.

we arrived from FL at aprox. 1200. Fernando , the manager greeted us with a smile. We were hungry and despite providing a continental B/F only, within minutes Fernando and Julia had prepared a meal for us.They were very warm and welcoming.my only issue is that the hotel is located quite some distance from San Jose and if you need to go there a few times, it can cost you a pretty penny! also if you are scared of driving to the mountains/heights this might pose a problem.Great atmosphere, great scenery!overlooking the entire city! Priceless view, especially at nights!

We got to the hotel with difficulty, because the address mislead us to Escazu and is really located in Alajuelita , we were taking 3 elderly ladies, and there was no possibility for them to move or look for transportation, but the hotel management didn't want to help, so they didn't even offer a credit note or an exchange and we end up loosing our money and a lot of time

Best way to get to the hotel is by cab--don't try it on your own unless you have GPS. None of the roads in Costa Rica have signs. In fact unless you know your way around, don't rent a car--cabs are cheap--and the car rentals rip you off for insurance even if you buy it before hand. The view from the hotel was stunning and the staff very polite and friendly. However, the bed was uncomfortable and noisy. Bathroom shower was large--4' x 3' but the bathroom sink was tiny and there was no counter space to store anything or electric outlets in the bathroom.

The room was small, but clean. The view is amazing. Breakfast was included in the price; however, it wasn't anything to write home about: toast, jam, butter, oatmeal, boiled eggs, beans/rice, coffee, tea. There is NO SPA. The 'restaurant' is 4 round tables with chairs...menu only has about 12 items. What made the stay truly awful is that it is a very SMALL hotel...and the walls are VERY thin. You will hear EVERYTHING!!! If you're looking for peace and quiet, you may not get it if there are many other guests. Also, the last day of our stay the hotel had no water. We could not use the toilet, take a shower, brush teeth....NOTHING! The staff (and the owner) seemed unconcerned. They did nothing to rectify the situation and they even charged us for the bottled water we asked for (which we used for toiletry)! It was not a pleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff is really nice. But it was hard to find. GPS needed to locate

The staff were friendly and professional. I would warn that the hotel itself is very difficult to find. There is limited signage, and it's at the top of a mountain: great views, harrowing drive. My friend and I rented a car, and were lost for 5 hours trying to find the hotel the first day, periodically stopping to ask for directions, and it took us a couple days of getting lost repeatedly until we were able to drive straight to the hotel with all the confusing twists and turns. Google maps was not helpful because perhaps only 25% of streets are labelled. Once we got there the staff was nice and helpful. Continental breakfast left something to be desired: jam, bread, beans and rice, but the coffee was always stellar as was the fresh fruit.

Be sure to have a GPS to locate this place! It was very difficult to locate. Staff was friendly, room was comfortable and the view was amazing! Recommend and would stay again as long as I had a GPS!

very small room, poor breakfast an some things need moor cleaning (room and plates), orange juice is something like powder with flavor. Nice people (the owner)

It has a great view of San Jose from mnt. You need a car as food and everything is down the mountain. It is very small and the staff seemed to be helpful. If you want to get away from town this will be great. I only had one night stay.
