Last September my husband and I were having a vacation and we find this hotel an amazing and exceed our expectation .Breakfast is superd, very accomodating staff and the facilities were great ...awesome and indeed a great experience.
We had 3 nights stay at kings room which is located at ground level. The location of this hotel is right in the middle of DMALL so if u are look for convenience, this is will ur choice. Pros: great location, spacious room Cons: hard bed, soft pillow & bathroom rainshower in the tub is kind of troublesome cos u get slippery floor after that.
I would recommend The Tides Boracay for the following reasons: 1. Great Location. It is situated inside D Mall wherein you can find a lot of restaurants, souvenir shops and convenience stores. Its also a 3-5 minute walk to the beach. Location wise, its very convenient. 2. Awesome Staff. I have nothing but good words for their staff - from the front desk up to the house keeping. They are very attentive and considerate. We requested for an early check in since we have a toddler with us. However, since the hotel was fully booked at that time, they were unable to grant us this request. I think one of their front desk named Simon noticed that our kid was bored, so he gave her some beach toys she could play with. I really appreciate that sweet gesture. Although, I wish that the front desk had noticed that it was my birthday that day. I think that was just the missing touch :) 3. Breakfast. For their breakfast, in my opinion - you get what you pay for. Its average, but its okay. 4. Guest Needs. I think the hotel is pretty much complete when it comes to your needs as a guest. Beach Towels, First Aid Kits, Pail and Dipper, Clothes Hanger, etc. Rooms for improvement 1. WiFi. They offer free internet/wifi service. However, its very very very slow. Notice the 3 VERYs. I ended up using my data plan instead. 2. The hotel is clean, however, you will get that feeling that its quite old. Somehow, I think the hotel needs a renovation in some of their rooms. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as they were able to meet our expectations.
The moment we got our vouchers for Tides Hotel in Boracay, we knew that our stay in boracay would be a worthwhile one. And it actually did! Our experience with Tides was really an unforgettable one. From the approachable staffs, clean and modernized facilities, excellent room service, and other activities that you could try such as spa, gym, rooftop pool, buffet restaurant and a bar with amazing drinks. This is a super thumbs up!!!
The location was in the center. The room was clean, subtle and decent. 2 reason I gave it a three star-rating. First, they have an electric bug killer attached to the corridor's ceiling, and it makes a sound every time it kills an insect or bug. It is very noisy in the middle of the night when you try to get some sleep. Secondly, there's one staff in the gym that is so rude. I know there are rules, but when I said I wanted to speak to the manager via phone, he didn't let me talk to the manager. The worst part when he revised the story of the real concern. He thinks I do not understand their language. I cannot speak their tongue, but I can understand 100% of what they are saying. Other than that, the rest of the staff was great.
I spent a weekend at the Tides last month. My room had been newly renovated and was spotlessly clean. The hotel staff are great and extremely helpful. I also visited the hotel's spa upstairs for a foot spa/pedicure and full-body massage. I can definitely recommend both. The Tides is in a very central location, right in the middle of lots of shops and restaurants and although it isn't on the beach, it's less than a 3 minute walk away. I definitely plan to return!
It was just awesome! To begin, the server helped us wash our hands with citrus infused water - he held up the pitcher for each of us. Then they set up the table with a river of rice and topped it with adobo, grilled talong, assorted grilled seafood, kamatis and red egg, pinakbet with about 6 small bowls of dipping sauces. We ordered the Mano-manoc which was for 8 pax for just 6 of us. At 2800+ total it was really worth it. We requested to have the set up done outdoors near their rooftop pool and they kindly agreed. One of our best meals during the stay!
I booked the room for my relatives for attending my wedding at Discovery. I stayed at the Tides in 2012 and 2014. I had look this time round and my relatives are satisfied. In summary, it is simple, reliable while maintaining its services all these years. And of course, the location at D'mall is superb. Well done
Stayed here for 3 nights. Not bad for the rate I booked at Php3891/night via Agoda. Front desk and housekeeping were quick to respond on requests. Room was quite old but works well so not much issues. The food in Ka-On Restaurant at the roof deck was good and reasonably priced. We were wondering why no other guests eat there. Staff were friendly. Overall, it was a good choice of hotel for us. The only downside being not a beachfront hotel but they compensated it well by having an exclusive lounge by the beach infront of Epic Boracay.
We were at the Tides for a 5 day conference, and found it very appropriate for our needs. We had the whole family there and their needs were covered very well. Tides is very close to many of the night clubs and bars as well as some amazing restaurants too.
