This is our second year at this hotel and we are already planning our booking for next year! If you are looking for a genuine Greek hotel that really projects the uniqueness of the Greek people, here you will find exactly that. The hotel is not a five star resort but it is clean and inviting and provides everything you need for a fabulous vacation. The staff is attentive and efficient and constantly smiling!! Yes, we are already dreaming of next year.....
This is our 3rd time here in this lovely hotel, and as usual, we loved every minute of it! The renovation to the hotel is fantastic, the rooms now have sophisticated lighting with a control panel that controls all the lights in the room. We stayed in a room with balcony to the pool, and the view is beautiful. It can get a bit loud as it is so near to the pool and restaurant, but for us it was fine. The new spa on the roof is a great addition and the view is amazing, would very much recommend going there, even to only see it. We will be back next year!
We have stayed at Oasis beach hotel for 5 nights on September 2017. We booked 5 rooms (classic + sea view) for a family vacation. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We were traveling with a 2 year old and were provided with a big room and a baby cot. The breakfast was really tasty with a variety of choices (fresh orange juice, great cheese, omelette of your choice...). Most days we also had lunch at the hotel by the pool which was very nice. The staff was very nice and helpful! The only thing that I would recommend is improving wifi reception :) Overall had an amazing vacation and would love to come back!
This is the second time I have stayed at Oasis - the first being 5 years ago. Sometimes when you return to the same place, particularly after a few years, you worry if it will live up to expectation. Without a doubt my memories of Oasis accurate or if anything I had forgotten how lovely it is. It is hard to know where to start as so much can be said. I stayed with 3 children (4 year old twins and a 10 year old) and we booked a maisonette. This was plenty big enough for the 5 of us (the room is laid out with a mezzanine level housing a double bed so you have a bit of separation) but you are all essentially in one big space which may not suit some. However it was plenty big enough for us. There is also a nice balcony with lovely views of the harbour and church and hotel. The room was cleaned daily and the quality of the cleaning was very high. The bathroom is a bit basic if I were splitting hairs but perfectly adequate. The location of the hotel is very convenient and easy for either the ferry port or the Flying Dolphin port which is slightly further away in Milos (you jump on a direct bus to Skala which is very easy and about 10 minutes - the bus is waiting at the port when the FD arrives). A lovely little protected beach is at the front of the hotel and an easy pre booking system is in place to ensure that sun beds are available for residents. The sea is everything that you would expect from Greece and remains shallow for a decent stretch which makes it perfect for children. It is very safe and the small harbour beside it protects it from big waves. There is also a lovely pool as part of the hotel right by the beach too and beach service from the bar. The breakfast provided each morning is possibly the best breakfast I have ever eaten at a hotel. The selection is extensive and everything is beautifully fresh and tasty. There truly is something for everyone and you can eat as much as you like. There is also a chef cooking fresh omelettes to order which were delicious and a really nice touch. The service by the breakfast supervisor was fantastic. If for no other reason stay at Oasis for the breakfast! The food in the restaurant is in my view the best on the island. I like to eat at a range of places so tried out quite a few places but everything that I ate at Oasis was perfectly cooked and delicious. The menu is inventive and whilst not the most extensive there is something for everyone - and better to concentrate on a small number of things that you execute perfectly then have a large menu of average food. There are also at least 3 daily specials offered too. The chef at Oasis really is special. A review of Oasis wouldn't be complete without complimenting the wonderful staff all of whom are helpful, friendly and keen to provide the best service they can. They do this whilst still retaining a relaxed approach and atmosphere. This is a family business and that is very clear - in fact the family feel extends to guests too. You can't fail to notice that many people staying there are clearly returning guests who have built close connections to Michail, Martha and Dorina. My children loved being at Oasis. The relaxed atmosphere means that it's a great place to take kids but because it is small it doesn't feel like a hotel over run with children. The guests during our 2 weeks was very mixed. Skala doesn't have the most to do and I think that staying for 2 weeks was probably a very long time to stay. It really worked for us but if you like a more active holiday then you may run out of things to do without venturing further afield. Aegina is an easy ferry ride away and on a previous visit we went back and forth to Athens utmost people seemed to stay for 7 nights max. There is plenty to do for a short break though and lazing on the beach and relaxing can be done endlessly if that's your thing too. There is a bar behind the hotel that played loud music a few nights which I think has been mentioned in other reviews before but it wasn't awful and wasn't every night and even as a light sleeper I found that I wasn't really disturbed by it. The hotel bar stays open late into the night but again it was never disturbing - and I look forward to when my kids are a bit older so that I can take a bit more advantage of that! It's not a question of will we be back it's when!
Just checking out today after 5 fabulous days at The Oasis Beach. Food, room, people and setting are all 5 star. You cannot leave without having a massage at their rooftop spa. Bliss. The live music night was such a fun night with two of the most talented musicians I've heard in a long time. Plenty of little tavernas and bars around but the good and setting of the Oasis can't really be beaten. Highly recommended.
We stayed a week in Oasis beach hotel at the end of August. The worm welcome refreshed us as we arrived with 3 small children. The rooms were clean , every need that we had was replied with a smile. The breakfast was great and the kids loved running in the garden. we spent great week in Oasis beach hotel
The Oasis Scala Beach Hotel proved to be an excellent choice for our Greece summer vacation. We were travelling with 7 adults, two infants and one toddler and needed 4 rooms for 4 nights. The person handling room reservations there made sure that the room choice was the most suitable to our needs. The staff were always smiling and immediately answered our needs, whether big or small. The hotel is in an excellent location, right on the beach. We had an excellent meal at the hotel restaurant one night and continually took advantage of the beautiful restaurant setting for drinks, snacks. Breakfast is also excellent. The only thing that it lacked was a decent Internet connection. As facebook junkies who enjoy documenting our trip as it happens, the lack of a decent Internet connection was sorely felt. Hopefully, the hotel can improve that point. At first, I thought about giving the hotel only four stars because of the Internet problem, but taking into account everything else, the hotel definitely deserves a five-star rating.
We have stayed in Agistri for 5 nights and have picked this hotel upon recommendations and were highly pleased. the hotel is located just few meters from the very nice beach, with private sunbeds, that you can reserve a day before for the use. We loved the breakfast varieties. Dorina, the owner was very helpful, before we have arrived and during our stay (we wanted to add 2 more guests on the last minute and Dorina was taken care of it very efficiently with another hotel and at the hotel itself). Our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. Only thing was that there was a lot of noise, children shouting etc. but this is probably because it's august and there are lot of children in vacation. Double bed was pretty small. A larger bed would have been great...
We stayed at the Oasis hotel for 3 full days, and overall the place was lovely and the staff was very kind. We really enjoyed our vacation. Two things you should keep in mind. First, some of the rooms have stairs inside, (which can be problematic for some people or parents with little babies) and you may get one, if you won't specificly ask not to. Let me add a good word on the staff that put a lot of effort in find us more suitable room. Second, the Wifi is very poor, so you shouldn't count on a consistent connection.
The hotel is clean, comfortable , ideal location , it really is a lovely place to stay. The breakfast is excellent, eggs made to order and different food available every day . The restaurant is very disappointing, we feel we were ripped off attending a 'Greek BBQ' night, having been told it was a BBQ we expected a choice of food, what was served was a mixed grill, no BBQ in sight, had we known there was no choice we certainly wouldn't have paid the 15€, nor did they tell us additional charge for our non meat eater, it was our worst meal and most expensive on the island . Following that evening we never drank or ate in the hotel again, choosing to visit the hotel next door , always a smile and welcome there. We had a fantastic holiday in Agistri, it's a beautiful island .
