We arrived at noon by private transport. We were given welcome tea/biscuits and options for activities, lunch/dinner. We were then taken to our tent (No.8) At first I was slightly disappointed as the tent didnt seem "luxury" at all. There was an ugly rusty blue bathtub which seemed out of place. The toilet wasn't screwed into the ground so wobbled. And we had no hot water. To top it off we had men working nearby our tent. This was all sorted on request and we were moved to a much better tent (No.12) which now felt more luxurious. Tent was very private which was ideal for my wife as she covers for religious reasons. Staff were friendly and breakfast was amazing. Would recommend as it was an amazing, peaceful experience.
Breathtaking view, staff very nice, professional and welcoming. Totally felt like being home! The tent is beautiful, towels and bedsheets are soft and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Bring a sweater or a jacket. Before going to bed, look at the stars from the front porch of your tent in perfect silence. Awesome! Have some beer by the pool and book the camel ride at sunset. We stayed 1 night.
This camp is a mixture of aficain and oriental style and a touch of colonial and bohemian, tents well decorated and sufisally equipped, air conditioner, bath, electricity, .. and a large wooden terrace with a beautiful view, it is an ecologic camp, all the ecliticity comes from the solar panel, a big swimming pool with a big wooden terrace,
Price, food, service, staff... The experience overall was breathtaking. We were a group of 9 friends and were heartwarmingly welcomed. Food was amazing. The tents are equipped with all necessary items. I would definitely recommend it to someone who is looking for a desert experience
The camp is absolutely amazing. I would recommend this experience to anyone, you will not be disappointed. The landscape is dramatic, unique and really breathtaking. The safari tents themselves are very well furnished and waking up looking out over the desert was something quite special. We received complimentary tea on arrival and a very warm welcome from the staff. After checking in we spent an afternoon relaxing by the pool taking in this spectacular setting. There are lots of activities available although we preferred to relax for the day. The evening meal was exceptional and the camp is all lit up at night with lanterns, lights on the trees and a specially made fire. After a delicious chicken tajine dinner, we enjoyed the live traditional music before retreating to the tent for a nightcap and a game of cards on the veranda underneath the sea of stars in the night sky. I cannot say enough good things about this place, especially the staff who were just so polite, patient, friendly and attentive, they really couldn´t have done any more for us and made our stay something to remember and treasure. An incredible experience and we look forward to going back!
Myself and my group of friends really enjoyed our stay in desert. Unlike the negative reviews we felt it was exactly like the pictures and service was great. Our stay was fantastic and you can get over all the travel bloggers hogging the pool and sunset spots even better. Although we did see a staff member kick the camel at one stage..... that's a big no no from me. Sort your camel staff out agafay.
Sleeping in the desert is a once in a lifetime experience. Watching the sunset from the top of the hill was amazing. Then we had dinner next to the fire place with local Berber entertainment. The food was very nice as well: Tajine or Cous Cous with a view over the desert. Then the next morning we watched the sun come up over the dunes of the desert and enjoyed a typical breakfast. We also booked an airport transfer with them and everything was well organized and on time. Well recommended!!!
Agafay Luxury Camp completely exceeded our expectations. My partner and I had read some reviews that were all over the place (either very positive or very negative) so we were a little bit apprehensive. We had no reason to be. We were taken there in one of the nicest cars we saw in Marrakech, were greeted instantly by the staff with mint tea, and our room (we feel like we got the best test in the camp) was ready early for us. The bed is the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in, the food portions are huge, the bathrobes and toiletries are perfect and the decor is the perfect mix of trendy/bohemian and luxurious. There are so many components of the camp that make it stand out - the art is quirky and amazing, there are these beautiful rainbow stairs that take you to the top of this mountain with an incredible view. AND the pool - there are no words. I am baffled that people have anything negative to say about this place - then again, I am sure there are some very difficult and tough to please clientele that come to this place. Perhaps people say it is not luxury because it is more of a bohemian, eclectic feel. Unless you are expecting marble in the desert - then this will be one of the most luxurious and unique experiences of your life. It is better in pictures than it is in person.
I went to this wonderful camp with my family ,we had so much fun. We did a safari pic-nic , I Really can not discribe that feeling. It's an adventurous trip. I recommend it to you guys. Foods is delicious and deserve the price. Also for transportation the driver is on time. Staff and the booking manager were helping us in each step. God bless u.
The view from tents, area, location is very nice and the facilities itself were nice. We spent the night outside and really enjoyed watching the stars. Communication is a bit of a struggle, on the phone before arrival everything was great - all bookings, etc. When it came to the activities that we have booked, we arrived on time and no one told us anything until we asked and they just told us that it's half an hour delayed. We have also booked a special private dinner which costs 10EUR/pp more but the food is nothing special (they have exactly the same food every day) so I guess it's just for privacy. The price of a can of a sprite is 5 EUR! - I really find that ridiculous.
