Got there during a trip with my wife. Had an excellent room and I would like to get back as soon as possible I won't say it's cheap but I would dare say that it's money worth spending.Fine restaurant, lounge bar and room service.
If you are coming to Panarea you must know that it's a rustic place, a tiny island with no roads or cars, where electricity only arrived a few decades ago. Nearly everything must be brought in by ship, so it's a simple rustic place. That, and the fact that it is so complicated to get there, is its charm. The Hotel Lisca Bianca is an embodiment of that, simple rooms seemingly carved from rock, whitewashed walls, tiled floors and bathroom walls ... the rooms are simple, but quite beautiful, like the island. The front desk staff, headed by Angela, is competent, helpful, and friendly, and the daily included breakfast is delicious and made romantic by the spectacular view of the port, the Mediterranean, and the nearby islands Dattilo, Basiluzzo, and Stromboli. The TV is small and the wifi a little spotty, but I come to Panarea to disconnect! The situation of the hotel near the ferry pier, on the main road (really, a paved path) that leads to the rest of the island, a short walk from all the restaurants and attractions of the island, make it ideal. This was my fifth visit to Panarea and my third stay with Angela and her staff. I will be back!
My husband & my elderly parents spent two nights here and enjoyed it. The staff is helpful and the hotel is convenient to the port. Great views. The staff even picks up & drops off at the port. Breakfast was great on the terrace with a spectacular view of Stromboli in the distance.
We were here for the wedding. We met the team of the hotel. Everybody are very friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful near the harbor. View for the breakfast and diner time is incredible ! We had a quiet apartment a 5 minutes of walk from the harbor and we were very satisfied because it's less noisy and you can have some quiet moments. Thank you one more time for this perfect experience !
Breakfast is served in one of the most beautiful beach terraces in the Mediterranean and the hotel is very well located. The service was good for being a 3* hotel - stuffed minibar, very clean, luggage service. We had much higher expectations. The property needs major renovations. The bedroom in particular was not ok: old and very small TV, old noisy air condition system, open shower that wets the whole bathroom. Internet was very slow and did not really work in the room. What was NOT OK is that in the main building there is a club playing loud music from midnight onwards, even if our room was on a separate building we were not able to sleep... they should make the rooms soundproof.
We stayed in Panarea for two nights in the first week of September. The hotel is well situated in the center of the town by the harbour and everything is easily accessible. The complex of buildings is also very charming, especially the main hotel and restaurant where a very good breakfast is served. Spectacular view. If you are seeking the latest in modern amenities, then maybe it's not for you but definitely recommended for its ambiance and laid back flair-- it's a classic jewel that has been going since the 60's. It's true that drinks are a bit pricey, but they are everywhere in the town-- especially by the port. The highlight was the service and people running the hotel, who were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a small issue with our itinerary as we planned to extend our initial booking an extra night to do the evening trek in Stromboli, only to discover upon arrival that the trekking companies do not collect people from Panarea despite it being the nearest island. Therefore we had no choice but to cut our stay back to two days and make our way to Stromboli for a night. The amazing thing is that the hotel was flexible given the circumstances and helped with the arrangements with Magmatrek. The hike itself was the highlight and focus of the whole trip, so we were very appreciative. Great place to stay in Panarea!
this hotel is spread over several properties by the harbour and nearby. the rooms we had were very small, but clean and functional and both had AC - which in summer is a real blessing. The hotel looks very charming but sadly the feeling is not reflected. we had several shocks to our system during our stay: 1) as we sat down on the beautiful patio for sundowners and to enjoy the amazing view of the bay and over to stromboli we ordered a few long drinks. what we didn't check was the price and at 15 EUR a drink were rather stunned after 2 rounds. However they did service lots of very scrumptious nibbles and snacks to go with the drinks. 2) the place turns into a nightclub after dark. thankfully we had been warned but I can't stress it enough. our room was quiet, that of our travelling companions felt as if they were on the dancefloor. the island is so beautiful but sadly has been ruined by brash, cash, bling party crowd - a bit like monaco meets ibiza. definitely NOT for us. 3) Due to the overall atmosphere in Panarea (not the fault of the hotel!) we decided to cut our stay short but were told that we would have to pay 100% of the planned 3 nights (company policy). Only after a long (although friendly) discussion did we manage to only have to pay 1 extra night - which still hurt but was at least a solution to a rather disappointing problem a good hotel (with very decent breakfast) but sadly on an island that has sold it's soul to commercial bling tourism.
I loved this hotel. It is positioned very centrally, the huge balcony overlooking the harbour. The atmosphere is very sophisticated and the hotel has focused on all details to make it look fabulous. Our junior suite was large, comfortable and with a lot of Mediterranean charme. I loved this place and would go back.
We struck lucky as our ferry to Stromboli was diverted, so we turned up here late afternoon with no reservation and could not have been made more welcome. The terrace bar, which served good, homemade aperitivi dishes, has an amazing view of other islands. The view was also an idyllic backdrop to the very good breakfast. Very nice, newly decorated rooms.
Last time for me in this hotel was 20 years ago and I had good memories; this year I had a room (n.25) which was in the middle of two discos (the whole Panarea becomes a disco in July and August) , one was the lobby of the hotel itself, the second was the bar on the other side of the street; both served as a disco from 7 pm to at least 2 am every day. What is really upsetting is that, when I asked for another room, the property of the hotel told me that I had to read the explanation of the hotel on the internet during the booking process. The way it is reported is deceiving, the music is truly booming, makes the wall of the room shaking. So, if you want to experience sleep deprivation, ask for room 25! Eventually, the last night I had another room, very quite, even though not worth the price.
