We had the most delightful stay in Panarea in early October . On arriving by ferry from Milazzo via Lipari, a journey taking about 90 minutes, we walked onto the jetty and immediately fell in love with the island. The Hotel Lisca Bianca is very conveniently located a few minutes walk from the jetty, directly in front of the seaside promenade boasting amazing views to a cluster of small islands off the coast and the majestic, volcanic island of Stromboli which frequewntly emits plumes of smoke. On arriving at the check-in desk, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Angela, and informed that our room had been upgraded to a junior suite (room 208). The room was lovely having a very large bathroom with walk-in shower decorated with local ceramics and a beautiful terrace commanding stunning views of the islands and Stromboli mentioned before. Visiting Panarea in October has some distinct advantages if you are looking for a peaceful, restful holiday away from the summer crowds . In fact, we only paid €80 a night including a delicious breakfast served on a terrace overlooking the sea. The attached photos speak for themselves. Will definitely return in late spring or late September/ October.
We hadn't planned to stay on the island however our friends decided to stay on the catamaran we had hired and take it to Stromboli, so what started as a few hours on the beach ended in cocktails on the terrace and then an enquiry to the availability of a room. Angela and the staff were so kind and offered us an upgrade. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Home made delicious Sicilian delights and the coffee YUM !!! I am surprised by any bad reviews on here. All I can imagine is that the person had a personality clash with a staff member or it was the peak of summer and the crowds on the island may have frustrated that same person. Perhaps it is better to holiday off of peak season in that case. We LOVED our short stay here and only bad thing we can say is we wish we had longer.
Don't bother, you will be wasting your money. This hotel is an absolute overpriced joke and the management take cue from Faulty Towers. Read the fine print because when they say the bar plays music on the terrace it actually means they play BAD music excessively loud until 3am. The breakfast is RUBBISH!!! Frozen croissants and stale bread and the staff are ridiculously rude. The beds and pillows are rock hard. Probably one of the worst experiences of our lives (and we have traveled a lot!!!). Honestly you will find so many other options on the island better than this. Thanks Hotel Lisca Bianca for ruining our stay in Panarea!!! To the owner, you need to travel more yourself to understand what a hotel charging €480 a night should offer their guests.
Absolutely amazing stay. The hotel has stunning views, the room was extremely clean facing a fantastic courtyard. At night the place get packed with nice people and good music. Breakfast very nice at the terrace. The best of the hotel is the owner Angela and her staff all really kind and helpful. Please don't pay attention to some reviews here as there were crazy people complaining for nothing. I definitely recommend this place, the best in Panarea!
Very nice hotel, staff is helpful and friendly, the rooms are nice and clean, beautiful breakfast overlooking the sea and the location is very convenient next to the ferry port as well as the village. We had a really nice stay over there.
Got there during a trip with my wife. Had an excellent room and I would like to get back as soon as possible I won't say it's cheap but I would dare say that it's money worth spending.Fine restaurant, lounge bar and room service.
If you are coming to Panarea you must know that it's a rustic place, a tiny island with no roads or cars, where electricity only arrived a few decades ago. Nearly everything must be brought in by ship, so it's a simple rustic place. That, and the fact that it is so complicated to get there, is its charm. The Hotel Lisca Bianca is an embodiment of that, simple rooms seemingly carved from rock, whitewashed walls, tiled floors and bathroom walls ... the rooms are simple, but quite beautiful, like the island. The front desk staff, headed by Angela, is competent, helpful, and friendly, and the daily included breakfast is delicious and made romantic by the spectacular view of the port, the Mediterranean, and the nearby islands Dattilo, Basiluzzo, and Stromboli. The TV is small and the wifi a little spotty, but I come to Panarea to disconnect! The situation of the hotel near the ferry pier, on the main road (really, a paved path) that leads to the rest of the island, a short walk from all the restaurants and attractions of the island, make it ideal. This was my fifth visit to Panarea and my third stay with Angela and her staff. I will be back!
My husband & my elderly parents spent two nights here and enjoyed it. The staff is helpful and the hotel is convenient to the port. Great views. The staff even picks up & drops off at the port. Breakfast was great on the terrace with a spectacular view of Stromboli in the distance.
We were here for the wedding. We met the team of the hotel. Everybody are very friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful near the harbor. View for the breakfast and diner time is incredible ! We had a quiet apartment a 5 minutes of walk from the harbor and we were very satisfied because it's less noisy and you can have some quiet moments. Thank you one more time for this perfect experience !
Breakfast is served in one of the most beautiful beach terraces in the Mediterranean and the hotel is very well located. The service was good for being a 3* hotel - stuffed minibar, very clean, luggage service. We had much higher expectations. The property needs major renovations. The bedroom in particular was not ok: old and very small TV, old noisy air condition system, open shower that wets the whole bathroom. Internet was very slow and did not really work in the room. What was NOT OK is that in the main building there is a club playing loud music from midnight onwards, even if our room was on a separate building we were not able to sleep... they should make the rooms soundproof.
