Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide on Hindley

I was very disappointed with this hotel-it wasn't 4 starts at all. The lobby looks good and that's it. Everything in the room was very dated, my bathroom door had dirty fingermarks and the most shocking was blood stains on my comforter! I couldn't believe how dirty my room was. Very dirty place and totally spoiled my holiday stay. The furniture and the carpet was quite old as well. And noise from other guests staying on my floor. The whole building needs to be refurbished. Not worth the money at all.

Good stay, Great location. It's a 10 min walk to the Adelaide Oval cricket ground!

Lovely clean hotel. Nice spa and pool area. Lovely restaurant food.

staff were very accommodating, bed was very comfortable and restaurants and cafes within 5- 10 minute walk, can be a bit noisy on weekends, get a back room

Well located, professional staff and a very pleasant new room.

I have been coming to this hotel for some time now and I am always refreshed by the friendliness of the staff, they are welcoming, friendly and helpful. We love the location. If you don't mind the seedier parts of the Adelaide, Hindley street is convenient to shops, food, railway, entertainment. The on site car park is a real bonus, especially when you have kids and there is always something that has been left in the car. The facilities are fine, we sued the pool, gym, restaurant and bar. Rooms are a reasonable size and the executive rooms are very comfortable.

The Grand Chancellor on Hindley Street in Adelaide was the perfect stay. It was located within walking distance to EVERYTHING (busses, trams, trains, shopping center, restaurants, and pubs) We loved their outdoor pool and gym as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay within the city simply because everything is at your doorstep. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Nothing to complain, perfect! This hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It locates close to Rundle Mall and China town, which is very convenient for shopping and dining.

Great hotel and staff. Some rooms a bit noisy from load street music but otherwise ok. Rooms a tad small but clean.

It does qualify as a 4 star. I would stay there if I will ga back to Adelaide

The staff and location were great. Great restaurants in the area as well

We stayed at the hotel because it was close to the airport with a convenient shuttle bus available. The hotel was beautiful with a very friendly and helpful staff. We were there one night, then flew to Kangaroo Island for two nights and back again to the hotel for two nights. While we were gone, the hotel kept our extra luggage at no charge and it was waiting in our room when we checked back in. There is a computer to use in the lobby (free of charge) and taxis just outside the front. It is in walking distance of shopping, museums, gardens, and public transportation. During the day, the area is a typical downtown city. On the weekend, at night, there are long lines of people waiting to get into numerous clubs up and down the street. There are a number of adult themed businesses also with one right next to the hotel. There is a police station about a block away.
