Good city centre location, conveniently placed by a car park, which is free overnight, but must be paid for by card from 8.00 am. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walking distance or the option of eating at the hotel. We opted for a leg-stretch and returned for a night cap after eating out. Really impressed by the staff who went out of their way to help with queries, even to the point of looking for me to advise when an answer was finally found to my earlier query.
I stayed many times in this hotel and it was time for renovation. Had a good room, clean and nice, But the bathroom is a catastrophe, when you take a shower the total bathroom is full of water ! And the pressure of the water is absolutely unsufficient and I took a shower at 16h and not at ' rushhour'. Breakfast average. Relation price/ quality ok
Spent 2 nights here on a business trip. Hotel has a nice facade and is placed near the city centre. Finding a decent parkingspace was a crime. There is a small marketplace en face of the hotel which was full all the time. Staff gave a warm receiption. But the hotel is understaffed which resulted in unnecessary waiting in a busy line. The room was spacious and had a modern look. It was clean. Good bed. But terrible hot. Not able in lowering the temperature. Not good. Most annoying was the poor sound isolation. Looked like door was open, so noisy it was. Actually checked door several times. And loud piano playing, waking me up. Bathroom ok. Decent shower placed in bathtub. Breakfast ok. Good Coffee and enough fresh products. All in all too expensive for what hotel offerd.
Basic hotel offering all one needs on a short city stay. Nothing fancy but it does what it says on the tin. Friendly staff and very good location. Quiet and clean throughout. Decent sized rooms with good facilities.
Ok hotel with an impressive facade but quit modest rooms behind it. Our room was quit basic and small, no personal touch nor warm elements, just a practical room which is ok but not quit special either. the breakfast area was quit dark, busy and annoying, not a place where you like to sit and relax to enjoy breakfast at ease. nice breakfast-buffet though. overall just ok but nothing sparky.
Very close to the centre of a great city. Shopping, gastronomy, sightseeing, nature all in walking distance. Clean rooms, large breakfast, tapas bar in a beautiful 19 th century house. Friendly staff.
The hotel is a combination of a historic building, it's origins dating back to the 17th century, and a modern shell around that with the rooms and a nice restaurant. The old part has some nicely decorated function rooms. My single room was a bit smallish and basic but otherwise clean and comfortable with good working free WiFi. I believe that due to restrictions they could not install an AC system in the rooms. As it was pretty warm during my stay this was missing. In front of the hotel is a big terras with a splendid view of the church on the other side. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of food.
We stayed here for 2 nights in July. The hotel is well-located in the historic centre, only a 15 minute easy walk from the railway station. The main building has lots of history and character although the rooms are located in a more modern part attached to the main building. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and our double room was of a reasonable size with a bathroom with a shower but no bath. A slightly annoying feature of the shower was the absence of anywhere to put shampoo, shower gel etc except on the floor. The shower also had a tendency to spray water all over the place but these are minor quibbles. The room had no aircon and the weather was little warm during our stay. We opened the window but as our room was at the front of the building we had some noise from passers-by in the street below. This didn't really bother us but it may be an issue for light sleepers. Breakfast was of a good standard with both hot and cold options. The breakfast room did get a little busy but this may only be a factor at weekends (when we stayed). The hotel has a pleasant bar and bistro with outdoor seating in front of the main building. There are also numerous bars and restaurants in the main square and elsewhere. We particulalry liked the Cafe de Korenbeurs. Zutphen itself is very attractive and interesting and it is worth getting a self-guided walking tour from the Visitor's Centre. There is a market in the main square on Saturdays. For an excursion, try taking the train to Deventer.
Clean, good position in mid city, nice locality, staff on reception friendly, helpfull. Breakfast good quality , wide offer meal. Room standard quality, clean, lot of space. Wifi work properly without problem, big tv on room, good condition for work.
In the centertown the Hotel location shows a Netherland characteristic enviroment and style. Reception was very kind and fasten in check in. Drink must be taken at reception, no frigobar in the room. Very good ospitality, room, breakfast. and alo price
