my stay was for 7 nights . the hotel is located around the embassy areas and is nice and peaceful. the rooms are large enough for a long stay and the service is great . the restaurant offers a good variety of food . i would stay there agian if i do not want to be in the hussle and bustle of the city
Stayed long term for business travel in one of the apartments. On the positive side, the apartments are spacious with full kitchen, and plenty of space to spread out. They are modern and quite clean. There is a nice little pool deck and restaurant has great food. The front desk staff are generally pleasant and attentive with the exception of one or two, doormen and wait staff are also very nice. But several things can be improved. Housekeeping is the number one. To start with I had an incident where specific detergent I had brought from home (not valuable but also not replaceable) was taken/used without my permission, which I did bring to the attention of the front desk/housekeeping manager. After that there was no further theft but I was careful to lock up everything. However service was inconsistent-some days they would leave enough bathroom and kitchen linens, water etc other times I had to ask for more. A few days they came and emptied my garbages and left water but also left a sink full of dirty dishes; to be fair I stated that I did not need the entire place done top to bottom every day but to ignore a dirty kitchen right there is sloppy. Another day I returned home to find the satellite box on the tv had been turned on (I had not used this box at all and in fact didn’t know it was an option) but it seems as if someone must have been lounging and watching tv in my unit or else why was it suddenly on and tuned to a popular movie channel. Several times I saw staff watching tv in suites while the door was open and they were in there for cleaning. I made sure to leave a generous tip weekly but it seemed like if I was late to drop it off the service also dropped off accordingly. Gratuities should always be optional and as a thank you for service, not as a mandatory requirement to be given the minimum. Other things are that the apartments lack basics like salt and pepper, oven mitts (I burned myself many times trying to use towels to pull heavy dishes out of the oven. Again, coffee packets not replenished until the day before I was checking out after a stay of weeks. Design flaws also frustrate. Gigantic bathroom full of unused space but master closet is modest. TV in bedroom only gets limited channels, and you can see the wear and tear on the furniture and some of the finishes. Shower nozzle in tub is snake type and the fixture doesn’t stick out much forcing you to stand at an awkward position. And the glass door leaks and water inevitably ends up all over the floor, which travels all the way to the main door, which I found out on one of the first days, the hard way when I stepped into it unexpectedly. And then had to hope there would be more than one bath mat left for me. Bathroom lighting is totally inadequate and I had to plug in a desk lamp and perch it atop the mirror in order to see even moderately well enough to apply makeup. Gym is ok but very very small and no space to do floor work. Only two treadmills and one bike, minimal other equipment like weights. Finally, the wifi needs a vast improvement as it’s very unreliable and the system is overtasked and often difficult to connect to or stay connected to. And every time you want it you have to log in despite the useless check box that asks you if you want to stay recognized. Overall relatively comfortable but could be much much better if there were more quality checks and the place wasn't designed to save money on every little thing.
Fantastic staff, good food, best reception staff ever, clean rooms, OK location, rooms ar good, not the cheapest, but value for money anyway. I can recommend this hotel. I will come back. Have already been there twice.
I would describe the flavor of The Grill Room’s creme brûlée as something between vanilla and caramel .... It’s a dessert of custard topped with caramelized sugar... creme brûlée ‘s seductive secret lies in the contrast between the brittle caramelized topping and the smooth, creamy custard beneath.. and I think The Grill Room may have JUST 👌🏽 gotten it right ... 👍🏼😁😋
The service was good. Very attentive from the GM down to the wait staff. Chef Miguel and his team will give you 1st class fresh and very tasty food. He made sure all dietary requirements and requests were delivered beyond what we expected. We have a very pleasant experience and I think its one of Accra's hidden culinary gems. Go try it. PS: Cleanest toilets in Accra :-)
Once again in Accra and decided not to stay in the usual hotels, instead we opted for the Fiesta Residences, apartments and hotel in one site. We have been bowled over by the quality of the welcome! The rooms are great, the service is fantastic too! But, oh my, the quality and standard of the restaurant is the greatest surprise! The food is exquisite, well prepared and well presented. Having met the chef and chatted, I can say he has a passion for good food and fine dining. If you are tired of the usual buffet style restaurants and off hand treatment of hotels, try this place. You will not be disappointed! Highly recommended!!
Our KLM flight to accra was delayed. We got to accra at 01.30 instead of 8pm. On arrival at the airport, our pick up driver was waiting, the Hotel had taken time out to follow our flight and knew we were delayed and what time we would be arriving, which was a huge relief, we instantly felt safe. On arrival to the residence, we were immediately checked in. On arrival to our room, a welcome letter addressed personally to us from Giselle was a nice welcoming touch. I requested a ground floor apartment as we were travelling with 2 toddlers and there are no lifts in the Apartments. Early the next morning, staff promptly moved us into our desired apartment. During our 21 day stay, we travelled outside accra for a couple of days. Came back to our apartment and all our Stuff in the safe and rooms were intact. You cant fault this hotel on security, i would easily say its the Safest place to stay in accra and would highly recommend it. Willingness of all staff to help, friendliness of staff, great food served in the restaurant. The chef even went out of his way to engage my kids whilst we were sat in the restaurant. Henrietta at the front desk, Rachel Sales manager and Moses Duty manager, were exceptionally helpful during our stay. The only down side to this hotel is the location of the pool, you cant really enjoy a private swim or any down time by the pool as you in full view of all the resturanteers.
I stayed there for four nights and I was quite satisfied with everything. First I was met at the airport so it saved me time and effort looking for a taxi. The minivan was new and with air conditioner. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast OK, fresh fruits and juices, etc. Friendly staff. The girl at the reception even lent me local money to pay for the taxi when I went to the city.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, the rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The free breakfast buffet was awesome with both continental and Ghana breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and recommend staying there.
I really enjoyed my stay there but one of your stuffs called Yvonne..she has a problem with dealing with guests especially the young ones..She needs to be talked to. This happened on several occasions. Thanks.
