Our stay at Las Briasas was OK. To be honest, I was pretty let down.
Landscaping is well maintained
View of the bay is extraordinary
The pool club area is nice (wish there was a beach)
When we arrived there were no towels in the bedroom and the TV remote didn't work. I find that the hotel lacks attention to detail. For example, there were magazines in the room and the covers had huge rips in them. The lampshade was sideways (we tried to fix it but couldn't be fixed), the light over a vanity did not work, the garbage can was chipping and looked old. There were large cracks in the wall and marble. Our sink also made a high pitched squeaking noise when using the cold water for more than 5 seconds. The room overall felt very dated and truly needs to be updated. One of the issues is this hotel uses white everywhere and because many things are white, it looks dirty.
The concept of Jeeps taking you and picking you up from your room is a good idea in theory (if you don't have a car) but we had issues. On Friday night, it took 50 minutes to get picked up even after we called three times. No exaggeration.
We booked a room with a private pool and while the pool itself was private, there was a room above ours that had a balcony. So we did not have "Privacy" but did have a private pool. The neighbors also could be heard inside and outside.
It seems management has slowly let this hotel slip away. Would not stay again at this price point.
