The wife and I had a great time at the Marigold Resort Thanksgiving weekend, the owners, Linda and Kevin, treated us like family. We had an awesome thanksgiving dinner and very much enjoyed our stay, wether for a weekend getaway or a weeks long adventure I highly recommend a trip to Loon Lake and the Marigold Resort. Just a short drive up from the coast or even from Alberta you will be impressed by all they have to offer. Fishing, hunting or just sitting by the campfire and enjoying the view and the peaceful ambience, you won’t be disappointed.

Just stayed recently at Marigold Resort and loved it. Nice comfortable cabin with a great view of the lake, very helpful owners who gave us good suggestions to catching fish, and nice pontoon boats to get around on. I can see why people book to go back there year after year. We book to go back twice next year. One of my best vacations ever.

The cabin was nice, clean, all the appliances worked, beds were good, hot water fine and well stocked store especially considering the time of year. However the service at times was unfriendly and unprofessional, no communication between the the owners which all kinda ruined the holiday. The map and wording on-line is deceiving appearing like you get your own dock and fire pit right at your cabin. No privacy due the close trailer rental, no parking...I went to inquire about it she comes out thinks all is fine saying no one else has ever complained and yells to her husband as he drives in for the whole complex to hear "this guy is complaining about his parking spot"! He re-arranges one car and said he would get the guy's big pick-up moved behind us (which never happened). Watch your head on the low hanging roof on the one side which you pass as you unload the one with the Styrofoam hanging off it. Anything we asked about after that I was made to feel stupid. After two reminders to her for the boat the husband sees us from another cabin waiting by our dock (now its 2pm) calls us over to a boat at one of the docks down the line. He bailed it out filled up the gas and had us on our way pretty quick. Apparently every 2nd dock or so is pre-rented to people on the other side of the lake. They expect you to figure out which fire pit to use as the people next door have two which is confusing depending which end you start counting from. The bathroom window has been broken and repaired with duct-tape. The main kitchen drawer doesn't close. An old radio which doesn't work. They were selling extra clock radios leftover from the cabins but neither of our two bedrooms had one. After all that when paying they penalized us from the 20% late season discount to 15% because we changed our boat rental to half day on that first day. We didn't say anything feeling she would take the whole discount away. Crazy.

Spent 4 days 3 nights with my Father in law in cabin #7. The cabin was fully equipped with everything you need, Fridge, stove dishes and a great deck to sit and enjoy the lake. My father in law has Parkinsons so we went with a pontoon boat and it was a game changer, he was able to stay out on the lake for most of the day and not wear himself out. The week had everything you could hope for, we caught fish, had a campfire every night, good food, good rum and good memories. The owners Linda and Kevin were very friendly, helpful and had great knowledge of what to use and where to go on the lake to be successful. We will defiantly be back.

I was working at Loon Lake and stayed in RV 9 for the week. Waking up to the beautiful view of the lake made every day delightful. The RV was super comfortable and provided a nice home away from home. The owners were friendly and easy-going, they really helped me out when I needed to book an extra night.

Awesome relaxing, beautiful week. We stayed in cabin #7, everything you needed was there. The little store had everything I forgot to bring and extras. Nothing compares to waking up to a sunrise on this beautiful peaceful lake. We were lucky and caught great fish for a tasty fish fry thanks to Linda’s help and info on what the fish were attracted to. If you don’t have the right tackle she has it at the store. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked again for next year

Marigold Resort is definitely the place to go if you want to relax in peace and tranquility surrounded by mother nature's beauty. This was our 3rd year staying and we were not disappointed. My husband and I have made Marigold our annual anniversary trip and are already booked for September 2019. The owners; Linda and Kevin are always right there to answer any questions you may have about the Lake and are even super helpful with tips on fishing, right down to which colors the fish are interested in for that year. They are friendly and very hospitable. The Views; Stunning views of the mountains & lake are what greet you every morning outside your windows along with the beautiful sounds of the Loons. It's so quiet at night you can hear the fish jumping from your deck. The Cabins; Quaint and cozy they come with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The decks are large and come with patio tables and chairs, they all overlook the Lake. The Store; What more could you ask for than a store attached to the resort! Whether you've forgotten or run out of something, just walk a few feet and there it is! Pets; Marigold is pet friendly and when they say pet friendly they mean it. We have a large breed dog and she is just as welcome as any tiny pooch would be, this allows us to enjoy our vacation without having to worry about her in a kennel. Overall; If you want to relax and enjoy some quality time in nature while fishing your heart out, this is the place to be! The owners are friendly, the other vacationers are friendly, the whole atmosphere is that of being with friends even though you are strangers. Sitting toasty by the campfire, sharing laughs and stories, who could ask for more? Waking up to the sounds of the loons, hearing the fish jumping, smelling the rich mountain air, it's what soothes the soul. If you want all of this I suggest you book your next stay at Marigold.

We stayed in RV9 as we did last year and it has all the amenities you would need. We enjoyed the fishing as we always do, it is just so peaceful and serene being on the lake. We had to cut our trip short which we were disappointed about, but will make sure we get back up to the lake for a longer stay next year. Do not know why people were concerned about the air quality as it was clear, sunny and not a smell of smoke anywhere! One thing we really appreciate about Marigold Resort is we can bring our pet who we consider to be part of our family!

Our focus was the fishing. Having a cozy older style cabin that sparkled and offered newer appliances and all necessary kitchen items, was freshly painted, great beds and bathroom with a relaxing shower made for a comfortable four days. Marigold was perfect for my brother, me and our adult children. We rented an open 5HP boat in excellent operating condition - perfect for trolling. Great fishing - limited out by noon on our last day. My deposit is guaranteeing next year's reservation. The general store carried all necessary food and a good variety of fishing gear - a comfortable location to debrief the day's conquest.

Nice clean cabins overlooking Loon Lake. Well stocked and pet friendly. My wife and son plus two Golden Retriever's had a great time fishing in the pontoon boat.Lots to do at a beautiful place. Mike & Kathie
