Best time to take a vacation to Ohio

  • The best time to visit Ohio is during the early fall, when days are sunny and temperatures range from 60F to 70F. If you're visiting to see the changing colors, book your flights on for the month of September. Summers are hot throughout most of the state, and most days get up to 85F or 90F. In general, temperatures are higher in the southern part of Ohio and more humid on the Lake Erie shoreline. Ohio experiences cold winters, and temperatures often dip below freezing. The northern part of the state also gets lake-effect snowstorms during December, January and February.
