  • Big Bear is known for its beautiful weather, and summer provides ample sunshine. Temperatures range from the 20s in January to the 80s in July. Snow falls from November to March, and visitors can enjoy skiing and snowboarding. The fall brings more pleasant temperatures and smaller crowds, making it an ideal time to find a bargain. The Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater hosts a music festival in the summer. This Music in the Mountains event draws visitors from home and abroad and is usually held in July.
