Experience Your Best Grand Canyon Vacation

The Grand Canyon in northern Arizona is one of America's premier tourist destinations. A natural world wonder, the canyon attracts millions of visitors a year, all looking to experience the incredible valleys and cliffs developed over millions of years by the movement of the Colorado River.

There are a large number of attractions available in the Grand Canyon, from the Inner Canyon deep in the interior that's accessed by hiking, mule back or by raft, to the beautiful Havasu Falls on Havasupai Tribe land. Whether you're looking for a hike along beautiful trails or simply want to choose one of the outlooks on the rim and gaze over the canyon's expanse, you won't be disappointed at making the trip. Travel arrangements and lodging can be arranged using Orbitz.com.

  • As with many vacation destinations, the Grand Canyon may be best when visited during the off-season. From October through May the crowds thin out significantly. Snow closes off the canyon during the winter to vehicle traffic, with access limited to hiking or skiing. The trails can be covered with snow or ice, and during the warmer month of April, visitors may experience high winds. If hiking doesn't suit your taste, in October and November you can enjoy the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art on the South Rim, an annual event featuring artists from around the country painting the scenery of the Grand Canyon.

  • Coronado Dining Room

The Coronado Dining Room is located in the Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn south of the park and specializes in tasty steaks in a formal atmosphere.

    Desert View Snack Bar

This is a great place if you happen to be camping out at the Desert View Campground. Grab a sandwich or a burger for the trip to the Grand Canyon, or have the French toast and eggs for breakfast.

    Phantom Ranch

When you reach the bottom of the Grand Canyon, stop and enjoy a meal at the Phantom Ranch. Dinners consist of a vegetarian option, steak, or delicious beef stew.

    Arizona Room

A local favorite, the Arizona room offers a variety of dishes from steaks to ribs, along with a selection of California wines.

    Grand Canyon Lodge Dining Room

Enjoy a meal with an unforgettable view at this lodge, with windows that face the Transept Canyon. The restaurant is open early enough to enjoy breakfast before making your way to the Grand Canyon.
