Test Engineer

SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for gathering business requirements, assessing reporting requests, writing detailed functional specifications, providing guidance to developers throughout system implementation, and validating the final product prior to production release. The primary focus of this position is Business Intelligence and Reporting

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Define, automate, and execute test cases with WinRunner/QTP.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot automation issues and test results.
  • Develop effective and efficient automation test strategies.
  • Participation in developing formal automation testing strategy and plan.
  • Script development
  • Maintain automated test servers.
  • Defect management.
  • Providing recommendations / suggestions for improving automated testing efficiency.

EDUCATION - BS or relevant, related experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with parameterization, flow-control, data arrays, custom functions, and other advanced WinRunner scripting techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodology.
  • Extensive experience with testing web-based applications.
  • Experience with Mercury's WinRunner or QTP test automation software.
  • Knowledge of C, Java, Perl, Python or other programming languages.
  • Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, DHTML, SQL, and web protocols.
  • Travel industry and/or web experience a plus.
