Repeat Visit

This is my second stay here. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially at the concierge desk. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. Location is great. Saw previous comments regarding staff and service levels. My experience during both stays was wonderful. If I find myself in need of a London Hotel room again I plan to stay at the Grosvenor.

Enjoyable Stay

After fleeing the initial apartment we had booked in Paddington that we had been very unhappy with, Staff at the Grosvenor were happy to show us the rooms before we booked and were sympathetic to our plight so we happily booked three nights at the hotel. Location was great, direct access to Victoria Station and close for us to catch our bus for our Cotwolds tour that we had to be at early in the morning. Room was clean and bed comfortable. It was a bit of a maze to get to the room though! We upgraded two of the nights so we could access the Executive Club which we thought was only average in comparison to others we have used. The room was must larger than the cheaper room we had on the third night as to be expected. The selection of drinks and food was fairly limited (one variety of red wine and one variety of white wine) in the Executive Club lounge and although not busy, the service was not attentive enough - you had to go to lengths to grab their attention to get a drink. Although it is still worth the upgrade to get a larger room and if you want to have a few drinks and snacks before dinner and have your breakfast included. Overall I would stay again and recommend it to others.

Great location

Have stayed here off and on over several years. Great location - access to trains, underground and buses plus good walking distance to Westminster. l However, as a single traveller end up paying for small, narrow room. Room was adequate, bathroom with shower stall very cramped. A bit disappointed this time, but since I really like the location I will go back. Did not have much interaction with staff.

Magical Stay!!!

Absolutely magical from the moment we walked in having booked to stay here as an 11 year anniversary celebration. Upon checking in we was upgraded from a standard double to the Grosvenor Suite on the 7th floor wing. We could not believe it, and the suite was utterly breathtaking. Staff went above and beyond. Will definitely be staying here again!

holiday weekend

We normally stop in the Royal Horseguards, but we was extremely impressed with this hotel. I do not remember ever giving as many 5 star ticks before, and we will most certainly be visiting this hotel in the very very near future. Our special thanks for helping us have an excellent time goes to the staff in the executive lounge, where we had our breakfast and evening nibbles. Cannot fault this hotel. regards Sylvia and Jim Clarke

Return Visit

Having enjoyed our stay at this hotel in March 2012 we decided to return after attending the Commonwealth Fencing Championships in Scotland. With extra sporting luggage in tow, clearly our original wing room wasn't going to work. For a reasonable price we were able to transfer to the first floor of the main building for the week. The charge for the three hour extension of check-out, beyond the one hour complimentary allowance was also reasonable given our circumstances of returning to Australia on a 10pm flight. Should we return to London in the future we would intend to stay at this very well located, friendly and atmospheric hotel.

Brilliant stay - highly receommend!

One night stay to attend a friend's party. Needed somewhere near Hyde Park/Park Lane but not at Park Lane prices! Got what I thought was an OK deal for flights and accomodation. Having read some mixed reviews on the hotel I wasn't expecting anything amazing. Great surprise - it was! Pleasantly surprised that there was an entrance from within Victoria Stationin station, Hotel was stunning - very grande! Room wasn't ready as we arrived early, so offered an upgrade. Room was fab - quiet (we asked), clean and very comfortable. Staff were all amazing, especially receptionist and concierge. Nothing was too much trouble, really helpful and friendly - remembering little bits of conversation from earlier and referencing it was a really nice touch. We had a to buy a certain gift - receptionist was really knowledgeable and helpful about best shops to go to - loads of shops all around hotel. Really well positioned for everything - Palace just 5 mins walk and all the major sights are probably no more than 30 minutes walk. Gatwick Xpress stops at Victoria and there's an entrance to hotel in station. Oxford street was just two stops away - tube right under hotel. We got there in 10 mins! Lots of eateries around hotel if you fancy eating out. We expected a mediocre weekend, but had a fabulous one! Great hotel, would definitely recommend and come back again!
