The O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel is a traditional home from home-style hotel located close to Merrion Square and beside the National Art Gallery in the heart of Dublin City. Offering a true slice of Dublin life, the hotel was much frequented by the renowned Irish writer James Joyce during his early writing career. Good location in Dublin, easy walking to attractions, traditional interior, lovely personnel, but small rooms and no internet access that worked reliably made it hard to work from the hotel. But

Good location on Merrion Square, rooms spotless. Service was good, only problem was upon checking in had to go back down to reception because key card didn't work. Made three trips, but got problem

The hotel is conveniently located next to Merrion Square, about a 10 minute walk to some of the more popular sights in Dublin, Trinity College, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, and is across the street
