Champs Elysées

While its name means Elysian Fields, or place for the blessed dead, there's nothing here that isn't alive and well. One of the world's most famous and grandest boulevards, the Champs Elysées, lined with manicured chestnut trees, is also one of the most expensive stretches in Europe.
Home to posh boutiques, high-end eateries and glorious hotels and residences, the nearly 1.5-mile avenue stretches from the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe.
