Hotel Low Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions:
If you book a qualifying prepaid hotel rate on the Orbitz Web site, and then find the same room, in the same hotel, for the same dates, at a lower price online, before taxes and fees, we'll refund the difference and give you a $50 discount on a future hotel booking.
How do I identify a qualifying rate?
- Look for pre-paid rates (easily identified with the “Price Assurance” label).
What’s the deadline to submit my claim?
- You have all the way until the hotel cancellation fees apply to submit a claim. Note: Some hotels charge a cancel penalty regardless of when the reservation is canceled. The cancellation deadline is listed under hotel policies.
- Expect a response to your claim within 72 hours.
How is the refund processed if approved?
- If the lower rate was found on another site, Orbitz will refund the difference to the credit card you used to make your hotel reservation in approximately 7 - 10 business days.
- If the lower price is found on the Orbitz Web site, Orbitz will refund your original reservation to the credit card used to make the booking and rebook your new reservation at the lower price using the same card.
How will I receive my $50 discount?
- You'll receive the $50 coupon via e-mail.

Car Rental Low Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions:
The Low Price Guarantee is available to any customer who makes a qualifying car rental booking through the Orbitz Web site.
If you find a lower rate online, before taxes and fees, for the same: car, brand, size, category, transmission, drive type, air conditioning type, fuel source, and for the same dates, for the same pick-up and drop-off times and locations, Orbitz will refund the difference after you have completed your travel.
Just e-mail your claim before your scheduled pick-up time to CarLowPriceGuarantee@Orbitz.com. Make sure to include your:
- Booking confirmation number
- Name
- Email address of your Orbitz account
- Dates of car rental
- Rate quoted by competitor
- Complete Web address (URL) reflecting the lower rate you found online for the same dates and car rental you booked on Orbitz.com
Upon verification of the lower car rental rate online, Orbitz will provisionally approve your claim. Once your travel is completed, e-mail your receipt to CarRedemption@orbitz.com, or fax it to 1-312-276-8642. You’ll receive the $50 coupon via e-mail.
If we are unable to replicate the lower rate, the Orbitz Customer Experience Team will contact you via email to request additional information and documentation (such as a screen shot) to verify the lower on-line rate. Please keep a copy of all such documentation.

With Orbitz' Low Fare Promise**, you know you're getting a good deal on your flight! Just book a qualifying flight on Orbitz, and if you can do better, we'll send you a $50 coupon.
Here's how it works:
Find a published airfare online for the same airline and flight(s) that costs at least $5 less than what you paid on Orbitz (excluding service fees), and we'll give you the $50 coupon for future travel.To take advantage of the Low Fare Promise, just e-mail your claim before midnight Central Time on the day you buy your Orbitz ticket, to LowFare@Orbitz.com. Make sure to include your:
- Booking confirmation number
- Name
- Email address of your Orbitz account
- Dates of flights
- Competitive rate found
- Complete Web address (URL) reflecting the lower rate you found online for the same dates and flight you booked on Orbitz.com
- Screen shot of website displaying lower fare (optional).
The Low Fare Promise applies to published airfares, including Web fares, purchased on Orbitz.com, and is valid for travel wholly within the 50 United States. Restrictions apply and terms and conditions are included below.Low Fare Promise Terms & Conditions
If you book an airline ticket on Orbitz.com and then find a lower airfare for the same flights, dates, airline and travelers on another Web site, you may be entitled to a $50 coupon per ticket toward your next Orbitz purchase.
- The fare must be at least $5 less per ticket than the airfare purchased on Orbitz.com.
- The lower total airfare may not include Web site service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket or other fees.
- You must provide the complete Web address (URL) where you found the lower airfare.
- You must file a claim by Midnight Central Time of the same day you booked your Orbitz flights.
- To submit, e-mail your claim to LowFare@Orbitz.com
Remember to make a printout or take a screen shot of the page with the lower airfare, in case a customer service representative has questions. Expect a response to your claim within 10 to 15 business days.

*Hotel & Car Rental Low Price Guarantee General Terms
- The Low Price Guarantee applies only to online rates available to the general public. It does not apply to membership or corporate rates or special discounted rates including, but not limited to, AARP, AAA, military, government, or convention rates.
- The Low Price Guarantee does not apply to hotel rooms and car rentals booked through or in combination with frequent stay, loyalty, points or other reward type programs, rooms and car rentals booked through coupon promotions, won through contests or sweepstakes or transferred, prepaid car rentals, or rooms and car rentals booked on websites that do not allow you to see the name of the hotel or car rental company until your reservation is complete (such as Hotwire and Priceline).
- The Low Price Guarantee applies to the rate for room nights or car rentals only. Promotional packages, deals, or bundles that may include additional amenities such as parking, meals, or entertainment are not eligible.
- Orbitz reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be verified, or for which you have provided incomplete information.
- Orbitz will not be liable for the payment of any refunds under the Low Price Guarantee with respect to rates loaded in error by Orbitz or the hotel or car rental company or any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials relating to rates backed by the Low Price Guarantee.
- These Low Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions include and incorporate by reference the standard Orbitz Terms and Conditions and constitute the entire understanding between you and Orbitz relating to your hotel reservation or car rental booking.
- Void where prohibited by law. Orbitz reserves the right to modify or cancel the Low Price Guarantee at any time without prior notice. Any modification will be effective upon posting of modified Low Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions on the Orbitz Web site. Any cancellation will be effective upon removal of references to the Low Price Guarantee and the Low Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions from the Orbitz Web site.
**Low Fare Promise General Terms
- The Orbitz Low Fare Promise is available to any customer who makes a qualifying airfare booking through the Orbitz.com website.
- The Orbitz Low Fare Promise applies only to airline tickets booked on Orbitz.com for travel within the domestic 50 United States, and only for tickets booked using a valid credit card with a United States billing address.
- The Orbitz Low Fare Promise applies only to the total airfare and does not apply to differences based on service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket and other fees not collected on the airline ticket.
- If you find an airfare for the same flights and dates of travel, on the same airline, with the same flight numbers, for the same passengers, itinerary, cabin, and subject to the same fare restrictions on any other full service travel Web site or airline site that is at least $5 lower than the airfare you booked on the same day on Orbitz.com, Orbitz will give you a coupon in the amount of $50 for every ticket in your Orbitz reservation, redeemable on your next Orbitz.com booking.

- The Orbitz Low Fare Promise applies to lower airfares of $5 or greater found on another full-service travel Web site or airline Web site. The confirmed airfare you booked on Orbitz.com will be compared to the airfare on the other site at the last point immediately prior to booking. Fares must be compared with like fare restrictions, so for example, if an unrestricted airfare is booked on Orbitz.com, it will not qualify for the Orbitz Low Fare Promise if compared to a restricted airfare found on another Web site.
- The Orbitz Low Fare Promise does not apply to lower airfares that are available on Orbitz.com or to refundable tickets that you choose to refund.
- Orbitz reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be verified, or for which you have provided incomplete information.
- The Low Fare Promise does not apply to unpublished rates that are not available to the general public. Rates not available to the general public include, but are not limited to, corporate discount airfares, government fares, military fares, meeting fares, wholesaler fares or consolidator fares.
- The Low Fare Promise does not apply to package fares, such as airfares sold as part of a travel package.
- The Low Fare Promise does not apply to airfares where the carrier or itinerary details are unknown until after booking, nor does it apply to differences of less than $5 or to service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket and other fees not charged on the airline ticket.
- The Low Fare Promise does not apply to total airfares on another Web site that have been reduced as a result of promotional discounts, such as dollars off coupons, loyalty program discounts or fly free offers.
- An Orbitz for Business member may not be eligible for the Low Fare Promise if his/her employer elects not to participate. Check with the company's travel administrator for policy details.
Verification of Claims and Coupon Redemption
- Following submission of a claim, the Orbitz Customer Service Team will contact you via e-mail. If we are unable to replicate the lower airfare, we may request additional information and documentation (such as a screen shot) from you in order to verify the lower online airfare. Please keep a copy of all such documentation.
- Orbitz reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be verified, or for which you have provided incomplete information.
- Upon verification of the lower online airfare, Orbitz will send you an E-mail Coupon ("EC") in an amount equal to $50 USD for each eligible ticket booked as part of the same confirmed reservation on Orbitz.com. One EC will be issued per reservation to cover all ticketed travelers and is valid for a future booking on Orbitz.com. You can expect to receive your EC via e-mail within 10-15 business days of verification of your claim.
- ECs are valid toward future bookings of travel products booked on Orbitz.com within one year of the EC issue date. To redeem an EC on a new booking, the new booking must equal or exceed the total amount of the EC. The EC amount will be refunded to the credit card used for payment on the new booking. Extensions will not be permitted and ECs will not be replaced or reissued for any reason.
- ECs are not redeemable for cash, are not transferable or assignable and may not be booked or auctioned and any attempt to do so will result in the voiding of the EC. ECs have no cash value.
- ECs will only be issued to the Orbitz member account under which the qualifying airfare booking was made.
- The EC is the sole and exclusive compensation that will be provided for Orbitz's failure to fulfill its Low Fare Promise.
- If your qualifying booking on Orbitz.com is for a refundable ticket and you later refund the ticket, any EC issued in connection with the Orbitz Low Fare Promise as a result of your having submitted a claim based on finding a fare lower than the fare you paid on the refunded ticket will become void and invalid. If your qualifying booking is canceled within 48 hours of booking, your claim or any issued EC will not be valid.

You will need to complete a new booking on Orbitz.com as outlined above. The EC will contain the email address for submitting your EC redemption request via email. You will need the following information for your request.
- Orbitz Record Locator (this is your 16-digit alpha-numeric Orbitz confirmation #) for the new product you booked on Orbitz.com
- E-mail address of your Orbitz account
- EC code (this will be the EC code # we sent to you via e-mail)
- Coupon amount
