Orbitz Rewards Terms & Conditions
The Orbitz Rewards program (“Program” or “Orbitz Rewards Program”) is offered to registered users of Orbitz.com at the sole discretion of Orbitz, LLC, and is open only to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age and older and have a valid email address. Participation in the program, including earning and redeeming of "Orbucks", is subject to these Terms and Conditions. The terms “You” and “Your” throughout these Terms and Conditions refer to any member and any person eligible to participate in the Program, as applicable.
The Program has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as Orbitz decides to terminate the Program. Orbitz may terminate the Program at any time with or without prior notice to you.
Orbitz makes no guarantees, warranties, or representations of any kind concerning the Program. The Program is void where prohibited by applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations. The Terms and Conditions of this Program are subject to change as may be necessary to comply with such laws or regulations. By participating in the Program, You release Orbitz and its affiliates and partners from all claims or liability regarding Your participation in the Program, including but not limited to any claims related to the earning and redemption of Orbucks. Orbitz suppliers are in no way affiliated with or responsible for Orbitz Rewards Program administration.
“Eligible Booking” means any Eligible Flight booking, Eligible Hotel booking, and Eligible Package booking through Orbitz.com or the Orbitz mobile app that is completed (not cancelled) by the Orbitz Rewards member.
“Eligible Flight” means any stand-alone flight booked on Orbitz.com or the Orbitz mobile app.
“Eligible Hotel” means any pre-paid,stand-alone hotel booked on Orbitz.com or the Orbitz mobile app.
“Eligible Package” means any of the following combinations of two or more pre-paid travel services (i.e., a package) booked on Orbitz.com or the Orbitz mobile app: Flight+Hotel, Flight+Car, Hotel+Car, Flight+Hotel+Car.
"Gold member" means an Orbitz Rewards member who has achieved tier two status in the Program. To qualify for and maintain Gold member status You must stay 4 room nights at an Eligible Hotel or at a hotel booked as part of an Eligible Package within the calendar year.
“Member ID” means the e-mail address You use (with Your password) to sign in to Orbitz.com.
“Orbitz Rewards member” means any person who has registered for the Orbitz Rewards Program and is eligible to earn and redeem Orbucks. The term Orbitz Rewards member includes Silver members, Gold members and Platinum members.
“Orbucks” are the base units of measurement in the Orbitz Rewards program. The value of one (1) Orbuck is equal to a credit of one (1) US Dollar on a Redeemable Hotel.
“Platinum member” means a member who has achieved tier three status in the Program. To qualify for and maintain Platinum member status You must stay 12 room nights at an Eligible Hotel or at a hotel booked as part of an Eligible Package within the calendar year.
“Redeemable Hotel” means any pre-paid, stand-alone hotel that shows an "Orbucks applied” message for that hotel on the search results page on Orbitz.com or the Orbitz mobile app.
“Silver member” means an Orbitz Rewards member who has not achieved tier two or tier three status in the Program
You must have an account on Orbitz.com in order to register for Orbitz Rewards. Registered members of Orbitz.com are not automatically enrolled into the Orbitz Rewards Program and will require a separate join. Upon enrollment, You will be issued an Orbitz Rewards account that will be linked to Your Member ID.
As an enrolled Orbitz Rewards member, You will receive regular account servicing updates by email and other email notifications, including marketing emails.
Membership with Orbitz Rewards is not transferable. You are responsible for regularly checking Your account and must notify Orbitz of any omissions, incorrect entries, or other discrepancies.
Information about your Orbitz Rewards account can be accessed via www.orbitz.com/rewards when logged in with Your Member ID. Information includes but is not limited to Your Member ID, Orbucks balance, tier status (Silver member, Gold member, Platinum member), and account history (Orbucks earned and redeemed.
You must be enrolled in the Orbitz Rewards Program and signed in to Orbitz.com prior to completing an Eligible Booking in order to earn Orbucks for that Eligible Booking. If You enroll in Orbitz Rewards after completing an Eligible Booking, even if You enroll before travel is completed, You will not earn Orbucks on that Eligible Booking. Orbucks will be awarded only to the account of the Orbitz Rewards member who made the Eligible Booking; additional individuals named as travelers on the itinerary will not earn Orbucks. If booking a trip for another individual as a travel arranger, the Orbitz Rewards Program account linked to the Member ID used to book the travel will earn Orbucks for the Eligible Booking.
Eligible Flights: You will earn a percentage of the cost of Your Eligible Flight booking up to a maximum earn annually per Orbitz Rewards member (maximum earn amount is based on your membership tier, as set forth herein), unless otherwise specified in the terms and conditions of any offer or promotion awarding bonus Orbucks. The maximum earn for a Silver member is $50 in Orbucks per year; for a Gold member, the maximum earn is $100 in Orbucks per year; and for a Platinum member, the maximum earn is $400 in Orbucks per year. You will only earn Orbucks on the amount paid. Orbucks will not be earned for any change or cancellation fees imposed by an airline or Orbitz for changing or cancelling a flight. You will not earn Orbucks on any charges collected directly by the airline, e.g., checked baggage fees, priority boarding, advance seat assignment. Eligible Hotels: You will earn a percentage of the amount paid to Orbitz for Your Eligible Hotel booking. You will not earn Orbucks on any charges collected directly by the hotel, e.g., Resort fees, room service, room upgrades. To see what percentage earn amount is in effect at any given time, visit www.orbitz.com/rewards/benefits.
Eligible Packages: You will earn a percentage of the amount paid to Orbitz for Your Eligible Package booking. You are eligible to earn Orbucks for a price difference due to an addition or exchange. For example: if You add an additional night at an Eligible Hotel for an existing reservation, You will earn Orbucks on the amount paid for the additional night. You will not earn Orbucks for any fees associated with a post-purchase update to the itinerary (change, cancel, etc.) or for any charges collected directly by the supplier (e.g. Resort fees, room service, room upgrades, etc., at hotels; baggage check fees, priority boarding, advance seat assignment, etc. to an airline; additional mileage, car seats, fuel, etc. at rental car companies). Promotional Orbucks: Orbitz may periodically conduct promotions that offer promotional Orbucks to Orbitz Rewards members. The earning, redemption, and expiration dates of promotional Orbucks earned from Orbitz Rewards promotions are governed by the terms of each individual promotion.
Orbitz Rewards Visa® Card program: You will earn a percentage of all Net New Purchases (as that term is defined in the Program Terms of the Orbitz Rewards Visa® Card). Please see the Program Terms for full details.
Best Price Guarantee: Orbitz Rewards members can earn Orbucks through our Best Price Guarantee program. Please see Terms and Conditions below.
Refer a Friend: Orbitz Rewards members can earn Orbucks through our Refer a Friend program. Please see Terms and Conditions below.
After completing an Eligible Booking, the amount of Orbucks earned for that Eligible Booking (other than any bonus Orbucks earned pursuant to (1)a then-active promotion, (2) the Orbitz Rewards Visa® Card program, (3) the Best Price Guarantee, and (4) the Refer a Friend program) will be immediately deposited in your account. You can view your Orbucks balance in the “My Orbucks Activity” section of Your “My Account” page. Changes or cancellations to the Eligible Booking may result in changes to the amount of Orbucks credited/ debited to the Orbitz Rewards member's account for that itinerary. If You have already applied Orbucks to a new Redeemable Hotel booking, the refund for the canceled Eligible Booking will be reduced by the value of the Orbucks earned and redeemed from the canceled Eligible Booking. Each net refund transaction’s information (details) should appear under the “My Orbucks Activities” tab.
No Orbucks will be earned for change or cancellation fees imposed by Orbitz or its suppliers.
If Your Orbitz Rewards account does not represent the correct number of Orbucks that You should have been awarded as determined by Orbitz, Orbitz reserves the right to adjust Your Orbucks balance. If You believe Your Orbitz Rewards account has been the subject of any suspicious activity, please contact Orbitz Customer Service immediately. If it is determined You have been the victim of a fraud, the Orbucks You have earned will be transferred to a new Orbitz Rewards account.
Orbucks earned on a hotel booking may be used towards any Redeemable Hotel booking. Orbucks earned on a flight or package booking may be used towards any Redeemable Hotel booking with a check-in date (a) 48 hours after you booked the flight or package on which the Orbucks were earned, or (b) on the departure date of the flight or package booking, whichever is earlier. If you attempt to use Orbucks on a Redeemable Hotel booking that does not meet the foregoing conditions, You may not be able to apply some or all of Your Orbucks to that Redeemable Hotel booking. Redeemable Hotels are designated in hotel search results by an "Orbucks applied” message for that hotel.
When booking a Redeemable Hotel, You will have the option to use all Your Orbucks to pay for part or all of the booking (if Your Orbucks balance is greater than amount due). If You choose to use Your Orbucks, we will subtract the amount of the Orbucks you are redeeming from the total amount due for Your booking. If You choose not to use Your Orbucks, they will remain in Your account for future use, subject to any expiration. Orbucks with the earliest expiration date will be redeemed first.
If You make a multiple room booking at a Redeemable Hotel and choose to use Your Orbucks, Your Orbucks will be deducted from the total cost of the booking. Orbucks applied to multiple room bookings cannot be selectively applied to any one room but are applied to the overall total cost of the Redeemable Hotel booking. If You subsequently cancel one or more rooms in the multiple room booking, and if You are entitled to a refund, the amount refunded to You will be the cost of the particular room canceled less the amount of Orbucks proportionally applied across all rooms. The amount of Orbucks proportionally applied to the canceled room will be refunded to Your account.
If You choose to redeem Orbucks, then the Orbucks are deducted from Your Orbucks balance immediately. If the Redeemable Hotel at which you are redeeming is also an Eligible Hotel, You will earn Orbucks on the portion of Your booking not paid for with Orbucks.
If You cancel a refundable reservation within the cancellation window at a Redeemable Hotel paid in part by Orbucks, the Orbucks used for the Redeemable Hotel booking may be re-issued to Your account with their original expiration date. Orbucks redeemed on a non-refundable reservation at a Redeemable Hotel will not be re-issued to your account under any circumstances. Orbucks cannot be used to pay or offset any cancellation fee. All bookings and cancellations are governed by the Orbitz Terms and Conditions and any separate hotel policies that may apply.
Orbucks cannot be redeemed for cash. Orbucks may not be assigned, sold, transferred, and/or pledged to any third party or to another account. You have no property rights or other legal interests in Orbucks. You are responsible for any personal tax liability that may be related to participation in the Orbitz Rewards Program and redemption of any Orbucks.
Expiration of Orbucks
Non-Promotional Orbucks: Except as otherwise provided in these Orbitz Rewards Terms and Conditions, all non-promotional Orbucks earned through the purchase of Eligible Bookings and through the Best Price Guarantee, other than Orbucks earned pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Orbitz Rewards Visa Card, expire at 11:59 p.m. Central on the 365th day after they were earned. Once Orbucks have expired, they cannot be reinstated under any circumstances.
Promotional Orbucks: Orbitz Rewards may periodically conduct promotions that offer Orbucks to Orbitz Rewards members. Orbucks earned from Orbitz Rewards promotions expire according to the terms and conditions of the applicable promotion, and may not be refundable if You cancel a Redeemable Hotel reservation to which the promotional Orbucks were applied. Orbucks earned through promotional activities are equal in dollar value to Orbucks earned through Eligible Bookings. Promotional Orbucks will be credited/ debited to Your account in accordance with their terms & conditions upon completion of the promotional activity.
Refer a Friend Orbucks: Orbucks earned through the Refer a Friend program expire at 11:59 p.m. Central on 183rd day (which is approximately six months) after they were deposited in Your account.
Orbucks Earned Pursuant to Orbitz Rewards Visa® Card program: All Orbucks earned through the Orbitz Rewards Visa® Card program are subject to the expiration provisions of the Program Terms for Orbitz Rewards Visa® Card. Please see the Program Terms for full details.
You may view the expiration date of all earned, unexpired, and unredeemed Orbucks in the “My Orbucks Activity” section of “My Account.” Expiration occurs at 11:59 p.m. Central on the date listed. If Your account is deactivated, Orbitz reserves the right to expire all of Your Orbucks.
Orbitz Rewards Membership Tiers
There are three membership tiers in Orbitz Rewards. The tier one, entry level is a Silver member. A Silver member may progress to Gold member (tier two) and then to Platinum member (tier three) by booking and staying nights in Eligible Hotels, as follows:
Silver Member: To qualify for Silver member tier status, You must join the Program and accept and adhere to the Terms & Conditions of the Program.
Gold member: To qualify for Gold member status, which is the second tier of the Program, You will need to stay at least four (4) room nights at an Eligible Hotel or at a hotel booked as part of an Eligible Package within the calendar year (January 1 through December 31).
Platinum member: To qualify for the Platinum member tier, which is the third and highest tier of the Program, You will need to stay at least twelve (12) total room nights in an Eligible Hotel or at a hotel booked as part of an Eligible Package within the calendar year (January 1 through December 31).
Tier status will remain in effect for the remainder of the calendar year in which You qualified, the next full calendar year, and through February 28 of the following year. Only bookings made after a member joins Orbitz Rewards will count towards tier status. You must be an Orbitz Rewards member and You must be signed in to Orbitz.com for Your Eligible Hotel booking to count towards tier status. Your Orbitz Rewards account will be updated with new tier status within 24 hours of check-in on the Eligible Hotel booking that qualifies You for that status.
Qualification stays must start on December 31 of the qualifying year to count toward status. A qualification stay that begins in one calendar year and ends in the next will count toward tier status for the prior calendar year.
Orbucks earned do not contribute to tier status. Tier status can only be achieved through Eligible Hotel bookings and stays. If Your account is deactivated, Orbitz reserves the right to expire Your tier status.
Orbitz reserves the right to remove, at any time, any Orbucks earned or Eligible Hotel room nights counting toward tier status that were earned or awarded for unused products and services. Orbucks will be removed in cases where an Orbitz Rewards member receives a refund, from either Orbitz or a travel supplier or vendor.

Changes to Orbitz Rewards Terms & Conditions
Orbitz may change or cancel the Program rules, Program benefits, and these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. These changes may affect the value of Orbucks already earned. Orbitz reserves the right to terminate the Program, or any part thereof, in any jurisdiction, at any time, with or without notice, even though such termination may affect the right to earn Orbucks or redeem Orbucks, or the value of previously earned Orbucks. Orbitz is not liable to Orbitz Rewards members in any way for any value or benefits Orbitz Rewards members may lose as a result of any changes made to the Program. It is the responsibility of Orbitz Rewards members to check the Orbitz.com website regularly for any changes to the Terms and Conditions of the Orbitz Rewards Program. Continued membership in the Program will be deemed as acceptance of the current Orbitz Rewards Terms and Conditions. Any previous versions of the Orbitz Rewards Terms & Conditions are null and void.
Orbitz has the right to monitor all Orbitz Rewards members’ account activity. If Your Orbitz Rewards account shows signs of fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity, Orbitz may, in its sole discretion, close or freeze Your Orbitz Rewards account immediately, and You may lose some or all of Your earned Orbucks, including any Orbucks earned through fraudulent bookings. Examples of fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity include but are not limited to breaching these Terms and Conditions; engaging in any illegal or fraudulent conduct or activities with respect to the earning or redeeming of Orbucks; supplying or attempting to supply false or misleading information to Orbitz or a travel supplier; making a misrepresentation to Orbitz or a travel supplier; selling, assigning, transferring, or acquiring, or offering to sell, assign, transfer, or acquire, any Orbucks; or making claims under the Best Price Guarantee solely for the purpose of obtaining Orbucks without an intent to actually use the service that is the subject of a Best Price Guarantee claim. To contest freezing of an account or the cancellation of Orbucks, please call Customer Service.
If You have conducted any fraudulent activity, Orbitz reserves the right to take any necessary legal action. In addition, You may be liable for monetary losses to Orbitz, including litigation costs and damages, and You will not be allowed to participate in the Orbitz Rewards Program in the future.
Orbitz acknowledges that certain laws imply terms, conditions, or warranties into contracts for the supply of products or services that cannot be excluded. Except as provided in any law which cannot lawfully be excluded or modified by agreement, Orbitz and any of their officers, employees, or agents are not liable for any loss or claim of any kind (including, without limitation, consequential or economic loss or loss of profits) with respect to the breach of any of these Orbitz Rewards Terms and Conditions by any person, or for any death or injury or consequential loss or damage arising from the supply or redemption of Orbucks or any other of Your benefits save to the extent that such loss or claim arises from the willful misconduct of Orbitz or any of their officers, employees or agents.
Disputes and Other Terms
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Illinois. By becoming an Orbitz Rewards member, You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in Cook County, Illinois. If part or all of any clause of these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.
These Terms & Conditions govern Your participation in the Program. By participating in the Program, You agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. All Terms & Conditions of the Orbitz.com Website are applicable for the Terms & Conditions of the Orbitz Rewards program. Adhering to these or choosing one over another is solely by the discretion of Orbitz.
Best Price Guarantee Terms & Conditions
The Orbitz Best Price Guarantee is available to any customer who books a qualifying flight, hotel or rental car through the Orbitz.com website or Orbitz mobile app on or after October 17, 2013 using a valid credit card with a United States billing address. Packages, deals, or bundles that may include additional amenities such as parking, meals, or entertainment are not eligible. Only one Orbitz Rewards account per customer is eligible for the Orbitz Best Price Guarantee program.
The Orbitz Best Price Guarantee program is intended to give customers confidence that they are getting the best price when booking a product on Orbitz.com that they genuinely intend to use. The Best Price Guarantee is not intended to reward customers with Orbucks who make bookings solely for the purpose of filing a Best Price Guarantee claim, with no intent to complete the stay, flight or car rental.
Claim submission deadlines:
• For hotels, You have until the hotel cancellation fees apply to submit a claim. Note: Some hotels charge a cancel penalty regardless of when the reservation is canceled. The cancellation deadline is listed under the applicable hotel policies.
• For flights, You have until 9:59pm CT on the day after You booked Your flight(s) on Orbitz to submit a claim.
• For car rentals, You have until Your scheduled pick-up time to submit a claim.
Claims received after these deadlines will not be honored.
Bookings eligible for the Best Price Guarantee and related rules:
The Best Price Guarantee applies only to online rates available to the general public. It does not apply to membership rates, corporate rates, non-refundable hotel rates, or special discounted rates including, but not limited to, AARP, AAA, military, government, or convention rates.
Price difference cannot be due to taxes, fees, a change in or use of a different foreign exchange rate, or the use of a promotion code, coupon code, or other discount on a competitor’s site. If you used a promotion code, coupon code, or other discount on your Orbitz booking (other than Orbucks), the actual price you pay net of all such discounts shall be the price against which a competitor’s price is compared for purposes of a Best Price Guarantee claim. The rate of an Orbitz hotel booking shall not be reduced for purposes of comparing it against a competitor’s rate by the value of any Orbucks applied toward that booking. If you use a promotion code, coupon code, loyalty points, or any other discount on a competitor’s site, the price before any such discount is applied shall be the price compared against the Orbitz price for purposes of a Best Price Guarantee claim.
The Best Price Guarantee does not apply to: 1) flights, hotel rooms and car rentals won through contests or sweepstakes; 2) prepaid car rentals; or 3) flights, rooms and car rentals booked on websites that do not allow you to see the name of the airline carrier/itinerary, hotel, or car rental company until your reservation is complete.
Flights: The Best Price Guarantee applies only to the total airfare, which must exceed $50.00. It does not apply to differences based on service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket and other fees not included in the airfare, other than any Orbitz service fee. Additionally, a round-trip flight constitutes one booking and cannot be booked as individual one-way tickets to file separate claims.
Hotels: The Best Price Guarantee only applies to pre-paid refundable rates for hotel rooms exceeding $50.00 per night before taxes and fees. A multi-night hotel booking constitutes one booking and cannot be broken up into individual bookings/stays to file separate claims including, for example, booking a room for every other night of a stay, and booking individual nights through different email addresses. The rate of an Orbitz hotel booking shall not be reduced for purposes of comparing it against a competitor's rate by the value of any Orbucks applied toward that booking.
Rental Cars: The Best Price Guarantee only applies to the base price of a car rental reservation, which must exceed $50.00, and not to any add-ons such as fuel, infant car seats, etc. Additionally, the full length of time You book a rental car constitutes one booking and cannot be booked as individual days to file separate claims.
The Best Price Guarantee only applies to comparable rates with the exact same:
• For Flights: Flight number, carrier, class of service, and dates of travel for the same passengers, itinerary and cabin, where the comparable rate is at least $5 lower than the airfare booked on Orbitz.com, excluding any service, booking, processing, shipping, paper-ticket or other fees charged by Orbitz.com.
• For Hotel: Hotel, dates of travel, room type, number of adults and children, refund policy, and cancellation policy, where the comparable rate is at least $1 lower than the hotel room reservation booked on Orbitz.com
• For Car Rental: Car type, brand, size, category, transmission, drive type, air conditioning type, fuel source, and for the same dates, for the same pick-up and drop-off times, and same locations, where the comparable rate is at least $1 lower than the car rental reservation booked on Orbitz.com
Additional rules applicable to the Best Price Guarantee:
Orbitz reserves the right to 1) deny any claims that cannot be verified, or for which You have provided incomplete information; 2) request additional documentation to prove that any claim is not the result of fraud or suspicious behavior or contrary to the intent of the Best Price Guarantee program; and 3) request documentation to prove that the credit card used to make the booking has a valid United States billing address.
Limit of three Best Price Guarantee claims per customer per calendar month, regardless of number of accounts used by that customer, and regardless of whether such claims were approved or denied. Orbitz reserves the right to reclaim any Orbucks issued in excess of this limit, or where the customer has been deemed by Orbitz to be abusing the Best Price Guarantee program for personal or financial gains.
Orbitz will not be liable for the payment of any claims under the Best Price Guarantee with respect to rates loaded in error by Orbitz or the airline, hotel, or car rental Company or any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials relating to rates backed by the Best Price Guarantee.
These Best Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions include and incorporate by reference the standard Orbitz Terms and Conditions and Orbitz Rewards Terms and Conditions and constitute the entire understanding between you and Orbitz relating to your airline booking, hotel reservation or car rental booking.
Void where prohibited by law. Orbitz reserves the right to modify or cancel the Best Price Guarantee at any time without prior notice. Any modification will be effective upon posting of modified Best Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions on the Orbitz Web site. Any cancellation will be effective upon removal of references to the Best Price Guarantee and the Best Price Guarantee Terms and Conditions from the Orbitz Website.
An Orbitz for Business client may not be eligible for the Best Price Guarantee if his/her employer elects not to participate. Check with the company’s travel administrator for policy details.
Verification of Claims and Orbucks Issuance:
Following submission of a claim, the Orbitz Customer Service Team will contact You via e-mail. If we are unable to replicate the lower rate, we may request additional information and documentation (such as a screen shot) from You in order to verify the lower online rate. Please keep a copy of all such documentation.
Orbitz reserves the right to deny any claims that cannot be verified, or for which You have provided incomplete information, including any claims that are documented only with screen shots from a metasearch site, and not with screen shots from an actual booking site. For purposes of these terms and conditions, a metasearch site shall mean any application or internet website that accepts travel service data (including without limitation airfares, hotel rates, and/or car rental rates) from the travel service suppliers or other travel service companies (collectively, the “Travel Suppliers”) and aggregates such data into an integrated display based upon user searches, and then directs customer referral traffic to such Travel Suppliers for booking and/or ticketing on such Travel Suppliers’ own websites. Additionally, any screen shots provided for a Best Price Guarantee claim must be screen shots from after a particular flight has been selected (e.g. a Review and Book page) and not from a page with a list of search results.
Upon verification of the lower online rate, Orbitz will send You a confirmation email notifying You that your claims has been approved. If You are not already an Orbitz Rewards member, You must agree to the Orbitz Rewards Terms and Conditions by checking the box on the claim submission form to enroll in the program.
Amount of Orbucks issued for Best Price Guarantee depends on Your Orbitz Rewards status at time of booking associated with your claim:
• New Orbitz Rewards members receive Orbucks equal to the price difference + $50 in Orbucks
• Silver members receive Orbucks equal to the price difference + up to $100 in Orbucks
• Gold members receive Orbucks equal to the price difference + up to $150 in Orbucks
• Platinum members receive Orbucks equal to the price difference + up to $200 in Orbucks
Total bonus Orbucks issued are limited to the total amount spent on the booking. If the amount spent on the booking is less than the amount of bonus Orbucks you are eligible to receive, then the bonus Orbucks will be capped at an amount of Orbucks equal to the amount spent on the booking.
If You have made a valid Best Price Guarantee claim for a hotel booking where the lower hotel rate is found on Orbitz.com, Orbitz will cancel Your original hotel reservation and rebook Your reservation at the lower rate; you will not receive Orbucks for the price difference, only the Orbucks bonus. For all other valid Best Price Guarantee claims, you will receive Orbucks for the price difference plus the bonus Orbucks, which will both be deposited into your Orbitz Rewards account after completion of your hotel stay, car rental, or flight.
Orbucks will only be issued to the Orbitz Rewards member account under which the qualifying booking was made.
Orbucks is the sole and exclusive compensation that will be provided in connection with the Orbitz Best Price Guarantee.
If Your qualifying booking on Orbitz.com is cancelled, any Orbucks issued in connection with the Orbitz Best Price Guarantee as a result of your having submitted a claim based on finding a rate lower than the rate You paid on the refunded booking will be forfeited. If Your qualifying booking is canceled within 48 hours of booking, Your claim or any issued Orbucks will not be valid.
Orbitz Refer a Friend Program Terms & Conditions
The Orbitz Refer a Friend Program is open only to registered Orbitz Rewards Program members who are opted in to marketing emails. If You are not an Orbitz Rewards member, You must first register for the Orbitz Rewards Program to participate in the Refer a Friend Program.
Orbitz Rewards members can earn $25 in Orbucks (“Referral Orbucks”) that may be used towards future Redeemable Hotel bookings on Orbitz.com or the Orbitz mobile app by inviting a friend who is not a member of Orbitz Rewards to become a member of Orbitz Rewards if that friend enrolls in Orbitz Rewards AND makes a qualifying Eligible Hotel booking for a minimum of $50 exclusive of taxes and fees within 183 days (which is approximately six months) of enrolling (“Qualified Booking”). Referral Orbucks are earned upon the referred person checking into the hotel of the Qualified Booking.
A referred person must register for the Orbitz Rewards Program after accessing the Program page using the unique link in the Orbitz Rewards member’s referral email or post in order for the Orbitz Rewards member who made the referral to get credit for the referral. Only the Orbitz Rewards member whose referral link is used to access the Rewards Program page will get credit for the referral, even if other Orbitz Rewards members referred the same person.
The Referral Orbucks will automatically be uploaded into an Orbitz Rewards member’s account within 48 hours of the referred member checking in to the hotel of the Qualified Booking. Referral Orbucks have no cash value, are not transferable (may not be auctioned, bartered or sold), may not be pooled with other Referral Orbucks earned by other members, and expire 183 days (which is approximately six months) after issuance. An Orbitz Rewards member may earn up to a maximum of $1,000 in Referral Orbucks (40 successful referrals). Referral Orbucks are redeemable as set forth in the Orbitz Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (above).
Sending invitations to Yourself at alternate email addresses or accounts or otherwise attempting to defraud the Refer a Friend Program may result in forfeiture of Orbitz Rewards Program membership and all Referral Orbucks in your account. Orbitz reserves the right to void referrals and Referral Orbucks if we suspect that the Referral Orbucks were earned in a fraudulent manner, in a manner that violates these Terms and Conditions, or in a manner otherwise not intended by Orbitz.
You should only send referrals to persons You know personally, who You think would be interested in joining the Orbitz Rewards Program.
Any eligible persons invited via email invitations sent by Orbitz (initiated through the Orbtiz.com website) will appear in the “Invite Status” section of your Refer a Friend page. Any persons invited via invitation sent through a direct email, Facebook post, Twitter post or another social media channel supported by Orbitz will not appear on the Status section of your Refer a Friend page until the person engages with the invitation and joins Orbitz Rewards.
The person who is referred will receive a $25 promo code upon joining Orbitz Rewards after clicking through to the Rewards Program page from a valid referral link. The promo code is valid for a pre-paid hotel booking for a minimum of $100 exclusive of taxes. The promo code has no cash value, is non-transferrable, and is subject to Terms and Conditions that will be provided with the promo code.
Orbitz reserves the right to modify or cancel the Refer a Friend Program or restrict its availability to any person, at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice or liability. Modifications may include, without limitation, changes to how You earn Referral Orbucks, expiration period for Referral Orbucks, and changes that affect the value of the Referral Orbucks. Any modification or cancellation will be effective upon posting of modified Terms and Conditions on the Orbitz Website.
